We got to try their housemade hibiscus tea and it was nothing like the generic chain versions. Aromatic, flavorful, and refreshing, it paired perfectly with the loaded meal we had. The labneh board came with a yogurt base topped with sumac and honey, mint and parsley gremolata, and za'atar with pistachios. Every bite was light, bright, and fragrant. The hummus board was richer, layered with beef brisket, sujuk sausage, roasted cherry tomatoes, garlic confit, pomegranate molasses, olive oil, and tahini. Both boards came with bread that was impossibly fresh, crisp on the outside and soft inside. We wished they sold it on its own because we couldn't get enough. The (not) sandwiches were fully loaded and absolutely delicious. It honestly took us a minute to figure out how to tackle them, but once we did, we were in heaven. The beef was tender and juicy, paired with parsley pesto, braised beef, cherry tomatoes, pickled onions, tahini, and garlic toum. The chicken came with shawarma chicken, pickles, garlic toum, tahini, and pomegranate molasses. Both were winners. The restaurant itself is small with limited seating, but reservations can be booked online. The staff were warm and welcoming, and we had such a great time. We'll definitely be back to try their famous (not) pizzas.

My first time dining at Levant Pizza and I was definitely impressed. I've been seeing their Sicilian style middle eastern pizzas on the internet for a while and always wanted to try them. We got the Meat Habibi which was absolutely delicious. I'd return for more pizza. I also tried the Egyptian Beef Shawarma sandwich - a new item on their menu which was a combination of perfectly cooked shawarma meat and a soft pillowy bun with sauces. Also tried their Labneh Board and Hummus board - both great options to share. Rounded off with their absolutely sinful and delicious Pistachio Kunafa.

This was our first time here and everything was so delicious! I got the new Egyptian Beef Shawarma Sandwich, the Hummus Board and the Hibiscus drink. Egyptian Beef Shawarma Sandwich: $9.50 8-hour braised brisket roasted with tomatoes, onions, parsley, and beef jus - stacked on a soft potato bun with tahini and pomegranate molasses. The beef sandwich was very flavourful and loved reading the beef was slow roasted for 8 hours! It had a bit of spice to it but loved the cherry tomatoes inside it. Hummus Board: $19 Creamy garlic confit hummus, crowned with zesty sujuk sausage, tender beef brisket, and smoky fire-roasted cherry tomatoes. served with signature 4-day fermented breadsticks. The Hummus Board was loaded with flavours and I loved the combination sausage and beef with the hummus and cherry tomatoes. I also enjoyed using the breadsticks to scoop up the hummus and other yummy ingredients. I really liked learning they are 4 day fermented breadsticks. It sounded healthier which has become important to my diet and gut health. The hibiscus drink was delicious and refreshing! Perfect on a hot day like today. My friend got the OG Shawarma Pizza and we both loved it. It looked like a work of art! The OG Beef Shawarma Pizza: $21 Parsley pesto, mozza, braised beef, pickled onion, cherry tomato, tahini, arugula. Overall I loved the look of the foods and the great customer service. Big thanks to our server and to the cook John who also greeted us. I'm glad we went early when they opened at 11:30am. It's a small place and the few tables filled fast!

We got there just after 3:30 PM, which is their posted opening time on Google, but were told the boss might be late. Thankfully, he showed up a few minutes later. The employee was super friendly and welcoming right away. The boss started off a bit cold but later warmed up and was accommodating. The place is small, cozy, and has a nice vibe. I had the beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches and the lebnah board and both the sandwiches were packed with flavor, juicy, and so good. Even the next day, the leftovers were still tasty. The visit started a little rocky, but the food was amazing. I'd definitely come back for another try.

We visited this place as I am quite a fan of Mediterranean flavors and their online menu looked quite enticing. Located a few steps away from Ossington subway, the Levant (not) Pizza restaurant stands amongst other african businesses. The host greeted us warmly and we were soon offered the menu. We ordered the chicken Sandwich and Hummus board- as recommended by the host. As we waited for our order, I checked out the place and was surprised by how big the place actually is. Though they have a small seating area inside i.e. 5-6 tables and have a few tables on the outside patio, the kitchen is enormous. The entire kitchen is 2 storey with tall ceilings. It almost gives you an industrial yet a warm feel. The vibe of the place is pretty chilled. As we waited, we were offered a Hibiscus drink, which was quite refreshing on a hot friday evening. We were also served a bottle of water and 2 plastic cups--- the only part we didn't like was that the cups were kept down stacked one on another instead of placed nicely on the table. It didn't feel nice to be served that way. 5 minutes later our ordered arrived and on first impression it looked wonderful. The Hummus board came with 4 Foccachia breadsticks and good portion of hummus that was sprinkled with beef bits, pulled beef, cherry tomatoes and had a generous swirl of Olive oil on top. It tasted homely and warmed our soul. I wish there were more breadsticks, as 4 bread strips didn't feel enough. The chicken sandwich was a fresh bun stuffed with pulled chicken and pickles. The bun was extremely soft and the chicken had amazing Mediterranean flavors. It just melted in our mouths. We also ordered the Pistachio cream Kunafa and it was absolutely delicious. It was hot, chewy with all the melted cheese, crunchy and not too sweet. To Foodies: Do try the place. The food is amazing and I have truly become a fan of the sandwiches. Each bite just melts in your mouth. They are celebrating their anniversary and as foodies we should support such independent restaurants serving great food. To management: Congrats on your anniversary. The food is amazing and the service is decent. As a suggestion, you can play some nice, soft music in the background to add to the vibe. Also can amp up your service level a bit. But other than that, you guys are doing an amazing job. My best wishes to you for the future. Overall rating: 7.7 /10 Signing off, Rahul V.S. aka CanIndian Foodie.

What a spectacular spot in the neighborhood. I had a great time at Levant (not) Pizza! We tried a spread of different items and was not disappointed by any of them. Everything was so flavorful and new. If you have never tried Lebanese or Palestinian food, then I highly recommend you come check this out. Just look at the pictures! We tried their new sandwiches on the menu, one was Egyptian chicken shawarma and the other was Egyptian beef. Service was great, the staff are all wonderful and the food came out beautiful. Ambiance was nice, it is quite a small spot but enjoyable. Suitable for 4 people in a group. Definitely give this spot a try!

For the photo of the mixed flavours, I got the following: Left to right and top to down: 1) OG Shawarma, 2) Meat Habibi, 3) roasted eggplant, tahini, mint (new item), 4) Honey, Labneh on Za'a tar. I ordered a harissa honey dip on the side (which was super thick - the way I like it). My favourite is the Meat Habibi. The mixing flavours in the sujuk & pepperoncini were super dynamic, and every bite was a pleasant surprise. The Shawarma was really decent too - I really enjoyed the mint and tahini flavours. I only wish that it had a bit more shawarma on it. Overall, I like the flavour profiles a lot. The only thing I think Levant pizza could really improve is that the dough was a bit too tough/overcooked. I think I was the only one who had that issue because I ordered them directly from the display counter - and they simply reheated the pizza for me instead of making them from scratch (hence the focaccia was overcooked). The server Tiva was super friendly, warm, attentive and inviting. Shout out to her, seriously. The interior of the store is very cozy.

Came here for a yelp event - we got the hummus board and shawarma burger. We absolutely loved the hummus board with beef brisket and the bread to dip it in. The burger on the other hand was not my favourite - it was quite soggy and just didn't love the flavour. The pizza was also just okay - probably wouldn't order it again. I would definitely order the hummus board again if I were to come back!

Ordered a variety of items and everything was yummy! Really enjoyed the hummus board with sujuk sausage and roasted cherry tomato. Got the single mix & match pizza with half Meat Habibi and Falastine Aubergine (smoked eggplant) - enjoyed both, the meat habibi is a bit spicy and the falastine aubergine was very refreshing! Finished off with the Pistachio Cream Kunafa and liked how it was served warm! The restaurant is small and tight, so highly recommend making a reservation. Service was good, but a bit slow at times. They also had a few items that weren't available. Would come back to try their other pizzas!

recently tried the Beiruti Beef Shawarma and it was absolutely delicious! The only minor feedback is that it was a little bit on the salty side for my personal taste, but I really appreciated how fresh the shawarma was and the bread was absolutely amazing--you could tell it was made in-house. The service was an easy 10 out of 10. They were so friendly and helpful. They have so many other tempting options on the menu that I'm already looking forward to going back and trying something new. Highly recommend!

    Gotta get this stuff!

Picked this up to try at home and it is amazing! Made a grilled flatbread with cheese and used this to crisp up the flabread. Has amazing flavour, bit of spice & a bit of sweetness and is very savoury. Not sure if it's.always available or if I just got lucky when I was there, but try this red peepper spices butter if you can!

I visited Levant Pizza again with a couple friends because I was in the area, and I wanted them to be able to try the Shawarma Chicken Shawarma (not) pizza, but they didn't have the garlic sauce for it. We ordered a couple other (not) pizzas (Hot Honey Pepperoni, Sumac "Musakhan") to share as well as the pistachio kunafa. The pizzas we ordered tasty, and definitely worth trying once, but it was the kunafa that always has me returning. It is delicious! The space for dining is fairly small, so it may be better for takeout or dine in when the weather is warmer, as a cold draft came in when the door was opened. Otherwise, service was solid and the interior is pretty for a small storefront. I have yet to try their sandwiches, but I will definitely visit again to have them when I am in the area!

Detroit style pizza here was great! So many options to choose from. Service was great too they gave us a complimentary hot honey on the side. Would come back for sure. The seating here is available but tight so keep that in mind.

If I can't dip my focaccia in hummus, why bother?

It has a very homey, old-school Italian American restaurant ambience - the opposite of the stylish, hipster or touristy restaurant vibe. Apparently this restaurants gets a lot of regulars, and I could see why. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're transported back to the 1960s with the red-and-white checkered tablecloths, red chairs, old-style wax candles, brick walls, and a large black-and-white photo of an Italian family on the wall (perhaps the founder or owner's?). I could see this place being a movie set for films that need an old, classic Italian American restaurant as a setting. In addition to the décor, I love the 1960s music being played in the background. Size-wise, the inside of the restaurant isn't that big so it feels very cozy. It can get very busy and crowded after 5 pm, as most people seem to come here for dinner. We came during lunch hour and we were the only patrons there. The southern Italian touches are very apparent in most of their dishes - with heavy reliance on olive oil, tomato-based sauces (especially in the fish and seafood dishes), fresh seafood, herbs, peppers, and vegetables such as eggplant. This is in contrast to northern Italian cuisine that is characterized by rich, creamy dishes using butter, lard, and cheeses, and puts more emphasis on rice, polenta, and meat-heavy dishes (where as seafood is more prevalent in the south). Dishes that we tried: 1) Baccala (Pan-Seared Black Cod) - This was the BEST and my favourite dish here. The black cod had a crispy exterior and flaky interior, and came with roasted mini potatoes and mixed vegetables (zucchini, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts, eggplant) roasted with garlic -- such a well-rounded and wholesome dish. The roasted mini potatoes were so flavourful, and the vegetables had a nice char. I asked for the puttanesca sauce on the side, as the fish was already flavourful on its own without the sauce. But the sauce was better than I expected - it contained actual whole chunks of cherry tomatoes and olives. 2) Steamed Mixed Fish & Seafood in Tomato Sauce - This dish wasn't on the website menu, but it was on the printed menu in the restaurant. It reminded me of cioppino (Italian-American mixed seafood stew with tomato sauce, herbs, and spices). It came presented as wrapped inside aluminum tin foil, which the server then opened in front of us on the table with steam coming out. The fish was salmon, and seafood consisted of mussels and shrimps. This dish was just alright. For almost $50, there wasn't much seafood. 3) Pizza Funghi - I liked the very thin and crispy crust, and the sliced roasted mushrooms as toppings, but I wasn't a fan of the "truffled honey" they added on top of the pizza. I didn't taste any truffle, and the honey made it very sweet. Not a fan of sweet pizza. 4) SIDES: Rapini, Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms - They got bonus points for being able to customize the sides. They didn't have asparagus that day, so they substituted it for steamed Brussels sprouts with garlic instead - which was heavenly. The Brussels sprouts weren't overcooked at all, and they were generous with the garlic (anything with extra garlic gets extra thumbs up from me). The rapini came out chopped with a side of lemon wedge. Mushrooms weren't on the menu as a side, but we asked and they were able to make a simple side of just mushrooms. Overall the vegetables got 9/10. The chef was very friendly as he came out and talked to us. The server was extremely attentive. Great service overall.

They have a great stock of wines and an impressive drink list that we don't get to enjoy as we can't handle drinks these days. We do enjoy the food and the friendly service immensely tho. Lots of options for shareable apps; excellent options on pizzas and pastas; and I am always impressed with their mains (as someone that has to limit carbs, options can be limited at some Italian restos). They are also understanding of reasonable diet requests. They have gluten-free options as well. It is more of a "quiet" restaurant in terms of the clientele chatter, at least for the times I was there, so I can hear the music they play ("oldies"!!!!)
