I wanted to like this, the idea of a Shawarma pizza sounded like the perfect combo. And it is, but not like this. What I liked: There was a lot of sauce which tasted good and was the highlight of the pizza. (And the only thing that gave it flavour) The first couple of slices tasted good. What I didn't like: The chicken on the pizza was about 50% fat chunks which I kept having to spit out as I ate (unless you don't mind eating chicken fat). The crust was VERY basic. It reminded me of the type you'd get in school pizza lunch orders -- bland and chewy. But the worst part was that after a couple slices, it began to taste like the smell of dirty dishes that have been sitting in water (that's the best way I can describe it). It became unappetizing very quickly which I suspect had to do with the quality of the ingredients/how long it had been sitting out. And after all of that, my boyfriend and I felt sick after eating, so it wasn't just me lol. I wouldn't get this again nor would I recommend it unless you're drunk. read more

Turkish pizza place with a thin, almost Neapolitan style pizza with a slightly burnt base topped with a gorgeous shaving of chicken shawarma meat and sweet garlic sauce. (Think of everything opposite of how pizza pizzas garlic sauce is). The medium shawarma pizza special set me back $14 which also came with an additional garlic sauce and a hot sauce type salsa on the side to dunk your glorious slice into. Every single detail and component was brought to a whole other level - the hot sauce that came on the side was a salsa that had to be made in house, acidic with a lemon/lime aftertaste. The way I ordered pick up, and only when I came to pick it up would they shave the chicken fresh and top sauce onto it made me feel the put care into their food. The super kind and friendly staff too. If you put this in front of me in some fancy restaurant in the world with a $30 price tag, I would not even hesitate to come back (pls don't jack up prices this high). read more

I did opt for sausage on the pizza, but it was the dense, almost pepperoni stick-like sausage which wasn't that great. It also makes sense that they serve thin crust for the sake of time, but I feel a thicker crust may be better suited in order to support the chicken and white sauce that's on top. After having a few fairly disappointing slices from them over the past year, I decided to get an entire fresh pizza to see if it's any better, since Blondies was closed for Christmas Eve. While the toppings were plentiful and tasty, the dough and crust were as horrible as the they had been on the slices that sat under a heat lap for hours. The dough is simply too firm, floury and dry. I'm not sure how they could have gone through the R&D process and settled on this mix, it's simply unappetizing. Usually a large pizza would be gone in one sitting, but we had leftovers for days. Getting through it all was a chore. Their house made signature garlic sauce is tasty, but watery. We also got hot wings with our combo. While they tasted great, they were simply the smallest wings I've ever seen in my life. Two small bites and you're done. I try not to give too many 5 stars but I've been here enough times to not give it. Consistent high quality ingredients, good quantity, value, taste and surprisingly great service. My cousin told me about this place and I had to check it out for myself. Basically you can choose any slice of pizza and have chicken shawarma added on top with garlic sauce and their hot sauce. You can also get a medium, large, or extra Large pizza with any 3 toppings for pretty cheap. It's so good and be prepared to find yourself lining up again to order another slice on your way out. The pizza looks amazing; get it by the slice but I encourage you to get a full pie as the ones I saw them cracking out were mouth watering!!! So I'm alone, on a course and just needed a quick meal so I got a shawarma. Although I'm completely biased for Ottawa shawarmas, I have to say this one was as good. Although the garlic sauce isn't quit as good, the ingredients, especially the chicken was as good, if not better. I felt there could hsve been more sausage topping on the pizza because I like the toppings so much. but overall it was a pizzagasm. Even the crust was good. While we waited we ordered a panzerotti . It was good, could have been excellent, but cold in the mIddle. I never mentioned it, but the next time we go I will request they heat it up longer. The dinning room was clean, a little worn but clean. The server was very helpful with the menu and describing pizza tipping. Just OK, based on only one visit. Stumbled across this place on the way home from Yorkdale, decided to check it out. When I asked the teenage girl staffer for a recommendation, she laughed and said not the pizza, go for the chicken shawarma, which I did, and it was decent, but not mind-blowing. Maybe I'm a bit spoiled having hit most of the good spots in the Wexford zone of Scarborough and down by the Danforth, but Chito's didn't blow me away, it was okay for a quick bite when in the neighborhood. I went in to grab a quick slice for lunch today. The cashier girl was friendly. As I sat there eating it, I saw the owner come around the corner to serve a customer. He had knocked over two take out pizza plates (paper, diamond shape) left them on the floor as he served the customer. I kept my eye on it, hoping he would toss them in the garbage. I was sitting right there in clear view. He finished with the customer, turned around, picked the plates up off the floor and put them right back on top of the fresh pile of to go plates! It's even the walk thru area from the counter to the back and they need to walk through that area to get behind the counter... meaning major traffic and dirty floor! The plates were on the floor, face down for a good three minutes. I wish I hadn't seen it... but I do wish I had my video on. How many things, including food fall on the floor and get picked back up and added back to our food in that place? I tossed the rest of my slice and left. They are pretty new to our neighbourhood. I won't return, which is really sad. Please beware. Obviously the pennies he spent on the plates are more important then the health risks to his customers. I feel bad for the next couple of people who get slices on those filthy floor plates. read more
