If you need to pause your membership for any reason, you must give 14 days advance notice. So if you sprain your ankle, you're paying for half the month anyway. They will also only pause for two weeks max unless you provide them with a dr note. Like you're a child. They charge for no show and for late cancels, even when the county shuts down for snow. They once charged me a no show fee in error. I promptly let them know I was there. They told me they checked surveillance footage and didn't believe me (I'd used the wrong reformer). They seem to think they are a reform school and their clients are teenagers who are trying to cheat them. I'm too old to have this kind of hassle just to exercise haphazardly three days a week at whatever time slot they happen to have available. For my $ and time it would be better to lift weights.

She is top notch and very talented in teaching! She has over 20 years of fitness training and it definitely shows! The studio is very clean, has plenty of equipment. They also ensure that the clients are not crowded nor lacking proper equipment, which is a huge plus in the WMA when all gyms seem to be bursting at the seems with too many clients. Personally, I've never done Pilates but had such a great time and worked my muscles in a very different way than my normal workouts. Definitely a low impact on your body but works your muscles to breakdown, so low impact and strengthening.

This was a level 1 pilates class, it was nice to go back and learn the proper form, as I have not consistently done pilates in months. This class was challenging but not overly painful which was nice. Her mic was not working which at times was a little hard to hear, but Kelsea made sure to circle the room so everyone could hear her. The studio itself is gorgeous, I could not get over how cute of a room it was. Parking was also very easy and convenient.

The group classes at the Pilates Room are small enough to give me the personal attention I need. The instructors have SUCH great attitudes!! I've had unfortunate lessons elsewhere where I felt I was being talked down to (it's tough for a novice), while here I feel like family. The massages are great too! I'm used to asking for more pressure just about everywhere I go, but when I asked this of my favorite masseuse here, Daniella, I had to tell her to back off! Seriously the first time I've said this during a massage! Can't recommend this place enough. The owner, Janine, has seriously put together the most talented, attentive staff I've come across. Keeping things small has given her the ability to exercise complete quality control. Go check it out, I promise you won't be disappointed, and you'll feel great after whatever session you attend.

With a two-person reformer class, you're able to get pretty much one-on-one training, with the benefit of a second person to help motivate and gauge yourself against. I got the 3 Intro Private session package for $149, which is actually a really nice deal. I had my first session with Dominique, and by the end I was sore but I felt amazing. Pilates really works parts of the body you never even thought were there. I like that Dominique pays attention to detail, such as my alignment and form when going through different moves and exercises...Basically things I never pay attention to but should. I have two more sessions left and after those I'm looking into trying classes also, especially the mat classes she plans on adding in the new year. I would definitely recommend RPS to anyone who wants to try Pilates under proper instruction.

I've been obsessed with the megaformer workout these past few months and I've found it…read moretransformative for my core and tendencies towards injuries. I normally go to slt in NYC (which is phenomenal) but have been very curious about sculpt. I went this am and while one class is hardly the means for a rating, I found the studio meh as far as megaformer workouts. Don't get me wrong. This workout is difficult and not geared towards beginnings. The straps, balancing and movements cause one to need a few times to get the gist of it. Add on to the general difficulty! So why 3 stars for sculpt. Playlist and drill sergeant like instruction made the class not fun. She counted 20-19-18.... more repeatedly. Grrrr. I found myself repeated looking at the clock which is something I rarely do. In addition, music was circa 1980s and definitely a feed issue to the stereo because there was a scratchy sound for parts of the class. Moves and corrections were generally very good, however. As I've mentioned with other specialty classes it's the instructor that makes all the difference. I'm super spoiled I live in NYC and fortunately a couple of my favorite folks are not only at the tops in their field, some have even developed cult status (so says allure magazine). Best practices equal always a fresh playlist (I've never heard the same list twice for my favorites), good choreography, energy and corrections. So for $35 a class, I'd hope that I get just that. Otherwise I could go to the free classes at my gym. I think solid core which I rate 4.5 stars is better on instruction and energy, music also could be improved. 3 stars bc any megaformer class is a minimum of ok, but the extra factor is instruction and music.
