Just had Jay pull out another dent :) This one was a little tougher than the one he pulled out the last time - it was located on the "A" pillar, by the rear-view mirror on the passenger's side. When I texted him the pictures, he told me from the get go that it could be done, however it will take a little extra effort due to its location. I'll be honest, I called another place first (can't name names, but they're supposedly OC's "repairer of dents,") and they said that it wasn't possible, that is I'd have to go to a body shop. No way was I gonna do that! Jay met up with me at a shopping center parking lot, and started to work his magic almost immediately. He used a special glue that is made specifically for this job, a type of glue that is both strong yet pliable and absolutely won't hurt the car's finish. Jay is very knowledgable about his craft. His work is top notch. I almost went to a body shop for this repair which would have been days without a car, and a great amount of uncertainty about the outcome. A Suburban driver that I wanted to kick in the nads dented my car. I know it's just a car, but to do this and not leave a note after wiping the dented area clean is just ridiculous. Don't know how many thanks would be good enough for Jay: The second day I was on my rental car, someone or something left me five lines of scratches (good luck!). I messaged and pictured several dent and painting services for a quote. Many of detailing shops said it was too complicated and must be taken to a body shop; many body shops quoted me 300-400+. Jay was my last hope and I texted him last Friday afternoon. To my huge surprise, he responded immediately, explained possible fixing options and suggested detail methodologies. I would give LEVEL more than 5 stars if possible. My interaction with Jay, from start to finish was too easy! Jay removed a dent on the bottom of my rear car door that I had caused by trying to park my car in a narrow garage. Before choosing LEVEL, I did my fair share of research on dent repair companies; I contacted some five companies, including LEVEL, for price quotes. After sending them photos, one dent repair man quoted me $200, two quoted $300, one said he could not fix the dent because of the location of the damage (really?!), and Jay quoted me $280. I decided not to go with the $200 guy because he was way too hard to reach, was not responsive, and came across as neither professional nor friendly. Plus, after hearing the other companies' explanations for their higher price quotes, I felt that the $200 guy had missed something crucial in the photos that I had texted him so as to quote me a lower price. When I called Jay, my call went to voicemail, which told me to text or email him photos of the dent for a price quote. I did so and within a few minutes, received a text message from Jay thanking me and telling me he'd give me a price quote shortly. He then proceeded to ask a few questions about the size of the dent and within an hour of my original text, I had a price quote of $280! I then proceeded to schedule an appointment with him for the very next morning, all conveniently via text. In the morning, Jay texted me on his way over to my house and arrived a little early. He explained to me the procedures he was going to use and went to work right away, while I did my own thing in the house. 3 hrs later (which is the length of time that Jay had originally estimated the repair would take via text), I was one satisfied customer. Not only did Jay remove the dent completely, but he also buffed the car to get rid of some scratches. The final price that Jay charged me was true to his original price quote of $280. He took credit card, which was convenient. Overall, I am very happy that I chose LEVEL. I was a little bit skeptical at first when I chose to go with LEVEL since it didn't have as many reviews as some other guys, but I was left extremely satisfied. I had a dent and a scratch the size of a golf ball in the rear passenger side my new WRX. It looked like the paint was a little faded from the damage too. After my new car had been dented on the rear quarter panel, I was a bit skeptical to get it fixed as I didn't want to remove the bumper or taillights or drill a hole in my new car. I found Jay on Yelp and gave him a call and met up with him,he was very courteous and explained the process. In addition, my taillights didn't have to be removed and no holes were drilled in the process which only took about 40 minutes.
