There was no music. She wasn't there early to prepare and they literally talked about alcohol and drinking the entire class. I love camaraderie in a group, but I was there to exercise and though I was able to get a workout, I was so distracted by everything else in the unpleasantness of the focus of the class that I couldn't wait to get out. I have been an instructor for 20+ years so I feel confident sharing this critique. Do better Healthtrax!!

Enter your code and settings, and once a day your membership allowed you to sit back and enjoy a 10 minute hydro massage. Not any more. Without notice, management decided to abruptly end this free gym membership feature and turn it into a revenue stream. Now it charges a monthly extra fee. Another member and I discovered this service subtraction on a recent Saturday morning when we entered our individual codes but the machine failed to respond. I walked over to the front desk to ask them to reboot the machines and was told that management suddenly realized that the hydro massage tables were operating in the red, and thus an extra fee would be charged. There was supposed to have been an email that explained this to members but, sorry, apparently it never went out because many members had questioned why the tables weren't working. I wonder what other machines management is going to soon discover have been operating in the red ? Doesn't the club own these massage machines ? How can members using them cause the club to operate in " the red" ? Bikes ? Treadmills ? Rowing machines ? BTW we were told that the steam room was supposed to have been fixed this Spring but it's the end of June, 2025 and it's still out of commission. Some additional red flags: one of the hand held hairdryers in the men's locker room has had a sign on it saying " out of order" for more than two weeks, there are obvious cut backs in regular cleaning and maintenance - the white tiled top step into the hot tub was filthy last time I was there, Kleenex boxes are no longer provided, plastic bags for wet suits are no longer provided etc. I just hope the local health department regularly checks the water in the pool !

The gym floor itself is kept very clean. The place is small and busy, but I have been able to find machines/weights I need. Just like every other gym, machines break. They are fixed - eventually. The changing rooms appear clean. I've never used the showers Really, there is nothing fancy or unusual about this gym. It's fine for a workout. The only downside I see is that after 2pm on a weekday the place turns into an after-school social club where llama-headed schoolboys congregate around machines and cackle like hens! There isn't a reservation system at all and no lifeguard on duty which makes everything very confusing. Thankfully I arrived as a swim lesson was ending so I was able to stay in that lane until the next lesson. The water was extremely cloudy and I'm not sure if it's because it was a low lit area but it was tough to see under with my goggles. The locker room is really nice and spacious. Since I'm shopping around for a gym with a pool, options are limited but I don't see myself returning for this indoor pool. I'd love to try the outdoor pool.

### THINK TWICE BEFORE JOINING BIG SKY FARMINGTON…read more **Potential members--please read this before signing a membership agreement with Big Sky Farmington.** My daughter joined Big Sky Farmington **while she was still a minor and in high school**. A few months later, she needed to cancel because she is going away to college out of state. When she contacted the gym to cancel, instead of making the process straightforward, we were told there was a **one-year contract** and that she needed to jump through a series of hoops to prove that she was moving. That raises a very basic question: **How does Big Sky believe it can enforce a one-year contractual obligation against someone who was a minor when the membership agreement was entered into?** I'm not a lawyer, so I'm not going to make a definitive legal conclusion about the enforceability of the contract. But the fact that **the member was a minor when the agreement was entered into** is a significant issue that I believe deserves an answer--not simply a reference to the fine print. And the cancellation experience gets even more concerning. We provided documentation showing that she has been admitted to college out of state. Apparently, that isn't enough. Under Big Sky's stated "moving" cancellation policy, they are demanding things such as a new lease, utility bill, driver's license, pay stub, insurance document, bank statement, credit-card statement, etc. For students, they specifically demand **both a class schedule AND a tuition receipt**. They also say they require **25 days' written notice** and that payments will continue until they receive what they consider "sufficient proof" of the move.
