Unfortunately I found this establishment a bit underwhelming. I had high hopes of finding a vintage, nostalgia based gamer haven. Instead, I found a place that categorically emphasizes an environment in which the commodity is games and the primary focus is over inflating the prices without regards to the standard valuation of the products. Just hire nicer people. I walk into the place with my older cousin and he knew the owner of the location around Elm Street and I have a box full of old xbox 360 stuff and a old lego set from years ago and a newer lego set. I walk to the counter and she flat out lifted up the xbox 360 and checked the other things with a glimpse and flat out just said she was ONLY interested in the Lego sets because they were in a boxes. She said that they had everything else on the shelf. In my mind I was pissed with this. I kept the older lego set and gave them the newer one for $25. That lady is disrespectful af you should fire her. read more

There aren't enough nice things to say about this place! Honestly since the first time I came in there original store I was hooked. Sales, wide variety, and super friendly staff makes this family owned store a true gem for not only the casual and avid video game player/collector but for our community as well. Everything from special events, and tournaments to the good conversation at the counter. I honestly haven't entered another gaming store since I found this place and really there isn't a need too. If there is something you are looking for and they do not have it just ask (once again Thank you for that Mortal Kombat Mythologies for N64) and they will have it for you in no time. This is a store that sells used video games and accessories. The prices are great, I always leave with something. The staff are always really friendly and can find whatever your looking for right away. They host gaming tournaments and it's great to know there is a brick and mortar store locally you can trust to buy out of normal circulation games. Every game I have bought from here has worked. Many of the more collectible games are kept in display cases based on the titles notererity rightfully so. However Super Mario RPG or Link To The Past are not on my list of games to acquire. My dream collection is something much more ambiguous. I'm trying to build a huge collection of bad games. Say what you will, it a lot easier to build up a collection of losers than winners. There is a method to my rambling and madness! Games are organized into platform, and sorted by title. Most pre disc games are sold as loose cartridges, my only complaint is that not everything is priced. And not all accessories can be found easily but I guess that's part of the hobby. read more

I signed up for yelp and downloaded the app just to put a review out there. This store lacked console availability as they only had genesis and n64 available while Nintendo and ps1 were visible behind the counter. Also, their website said they were open until 5. Driving over an hour revealed that they close at 4. They were open when I arrived but had 6-10 people watching some tournament with lights off. They occupied a main area making it impossible to shop as shelves where blocked or too close to people to look at. Also it felt awkward like the odd person there where it felt uncomfortable to ask for help or to really look as the atmosphere was that they were closed. I didn't get an apology for the website having the wrong time either. You would think that after realizing it was their mistake, they would roll out the red carpet for me after I said I drove an hour. Joke is on them as I was willing to spend hundreds of dollars that day to start my collection but didn't want to reward them for the awkward, dark, uncomfortable, and unappreciative experience. read more

First: Dont buy the yelp coupon. The old owner offered it through yelp, and owner doesnt honor it. Yelp refuses to take it down unless he starts paying them. Fuck Yelp. The current owner and his partner are really cool and very helpful. I guess they own a second store in Rochester thats offers even more than this one. Ill have to check that one out too. Disclaimer: Dont go to small game shops like this looking for highway robbery deals, or to strike gold on your trade-ins. I loved this place up until recently. Normally the two people I've met there are a husband and wife .. And they are more than friendly ! They really seem like great people. However the other month I took my younger cousin there to pick out a video game ( he suffers from a few different mental disabilities and often stares and loses his train of thought due to the meds he's on ) well I took him in and he got a little over whelmed and started spacing out .. The guy that works there now made the rude comment of " dude do I know you ,because you're staring at me like you know me " and absolutely said it with an attitude . My poor cousin was so embarrassed . I seriously loved this place .. But will never go back because of that guy . read more
