My husband and I were looking for a natural light photographer to take maternity pictures. I did a lot of online research and stumbled upon Byrdhouse Photography. After falling in love with the artistic and classy photos on the website I called and set up and appointment with Becky, the photographer for Byrdhouse. The photo shoot in one word was AMAZING. Becky was a true professional. She arrived on time, came with ideas, props, and most importantly, her skill. The photos were utterly gorgeous. We got the photos in a viewing gallery in no time. With not much to work with aside from snow, snow, snow, a porch swing, a set of steps, my car, and more snow! She allowed me to quickly change into two outfits, then add a coat for a last-minute snow dive shot. She provided great direction on where to look and how to pose my body. Lauren was something of a big-sister turned fairy godmother meets cheerleader whose support and guidance allowed me to have a successful VBAC. I didn't have a doula in my first birth and I seriously regret it. The whole experience was so much different having someone in the room who was knowledgable, supportive and invested in a positive outcome. I now tell all my friends, family and complete strangers that they need a doula. This is especially true if you're going for a VBAC.
