My husband and I were looking for a natural light photographer to take maternity pictures. I did a lot of online research and stumbled upon Byrdhouse Photography. After falling in love with the artistic and classy photos on the website I called and set up and appointment with Becky, the photographer for Byrdhouse. The photo shoot in one word was AMAZING. Becky was a true professional. She arrived on time, came with ideas, props, and most importantly, her skill. The photos were utterly gorgeous. We got the photos in a viewing gallery in no time. My family and I have never done a family photo shoot and we were excited to at least get one photo for a canvas. We had no idea how to pose or what to do. Miguel was the perfect photographer, especially for people who are not experienced in getting their photo taken. We love all of the poses that he suggested. He was so funny and personable which helped capture some really organic smiles and happy moments. We also included our puppy in the photo shoot and he did such a great job capturing our dog and getting her attention as well. Lauren was something of a big-sister turned fairy godmother meets cheerleader whose support and guidance allowed me to have a successful VBAC. I didn't have a doula in my first birth and I seriously regret it. The whole experience was so much different having someone in the room who was knowledgable, supportive and invested in a positive outcome. I now tell all my friends, family and complete strangers that they need a doula. This is especially true if you're going for a VBAC.
