These clowns keep sending us a notice to collect on behalf of Farmer's Insurance... Even though the agent I work with LITERALLY WORKS WITH FARMER'S INSURANCE. I was advised to ignore all calls because Farmer's process to fix the balance was slow because they changed their systems. And the system they use to contact debt collectors was automated. So this got sent out and despite following advice and the fact my agent was going through the process to get my balance fixed, these morons keep sending me letters. The company I work for has been receiving emails from this "law firm" about an insane amount of money apparently owed to an insurance company when we never signed a contract, or used their services. I have looked up the name of the individual who is supposed to represent this firm and there's magically no information about that employee on the internet. There's a term for people like this. This law firm keeps sending me letters that I owe money to The Hanover Group. However according to The Hanover Group (insurance) I have not had a balance on the account since December. An agent from Hanover says they don't know why Leviton keeps sending me letters because they are supposed to update their systems ever 30 days. This place creates a nightmare scenario for customers of companies and the companies. I canceled my policy with Hanover over this nonsense. Had I paid this "Law Firm" the money they keep sending letters demanding I would have lost it forever. Never pay a law firm for a company balance. read more

The way Jonathan White talked to me was the most unprofessional way a person could have been talked too, Im assuming this firm only hires people with no souls. I owed a 1936.00 to Liberty Mutual, a bill which was only due, because of an incomplete non compliance letter, meaning they assumed this rate until I called.. I talked back to liberty Mutual which was resolved with correct information and ZERO balance. This insane Firm said I owed 6862.00 THATS WHAT THEY wanted to make..THIS IS A SCAM of a place. Ive NEVER owed on any of my business accounts and as soon as I started posting hiring ads last night for the first time ever I'm years via facebook, craigslist, etc. i mysteriously get an emaI'm from this so called firm saying I had an outstanding balance and pushing me that I am going to be im trouble if I don't fix it. being that I am smart about how scammers are and what to look for such as the web address it's from. the web address they want you to go to and I even looked up the company as well and the reviews I found on here even added to how correct I was about this so called company. BEWARE people and NEVER give out your info or even click on anything people send asking for money that you are weary about until you fact check it as I did. This guy contacted me claiming I owed money on a insurance policy that I cancelled a long time ago. The claim is without merit. This guy does not appear to be a member of the Illinois State Bar Association although he does appear to be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. I am filing a formal complaint on this guy with the ARDC as I believe this guy to be a scammer. In addition, since I am a resident of the State of Texas, I have filed a formal complaint against him and the insurance company with the Texas Department of Insurance. And finally, I have filed a formal complaint against him and the insurance company with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I am sick and tired of these "attorneys" trying to intimidate and bully people into paying fraudulent bills just because they have a law degree. read more

We have been doing business with a company for years and suddenly got a call from Leviton Law Firm. The woman started cool until I asked her what the website address was. I actually just wanted to confirm something and her reaction made me suspicious. Initially she ignored my request and kept talking and then offered to mail me something and she was asking for my home address. I asked her for the website again and she raised her voice and threatened to advise the company to sue our organization. Awkward. "I'm just asking for the website, what is it". her response, 'You don't need it" but I told her that I didn't need her to advise on if I needed it...then she started to yell at me on the phone and threatening that the company was going to sue and she was trying to help our organization. While on the phone, I found an email from my broker with the address....so I logged in without any issue. Not knowing if this was a scam or not I asked her why she wouldn't give me the site to verify. She then threatened that she would advise the company to sue our organization because I wasn't being compliant. Called my number, from 847.232.8220 ... asking for a relative , and claiming on the phone that it's me. Even though I kept saying it's not me, said "yeah I know it's you" ... Then after I told him it's not , laughed and said yeah I know it is.. and just dropped the call. What a rude person, and what a garbage company to employee a person like that to work there. Find another company to work with. Important: If they call you to collect a debit, get a lawyer to defend yourself. Your lawyer will quickly and painlessly put these dumb dumbs to bed. This "law firm" sent a letter saying we had an outstanding balance that is seriously past due and we need to make payment within 5 days. When we called to ask for proof that we owed, they responded by saying the letter they sent was proof enough, when we asked again they said they had sent us a letter and we have to pay and then they hung up. If they really are a law firm, they would have been more courteous and professional. This company is neither. It's despicable that they are doing business. This scam collection agency gave me a good laugh this morning. Somehow they got a name of the insurance company I had few years ago and they tried to harass me into paying a non-existent unpaid invoice. After I pointed out some inconsistencies in information they allegedly had on my business, the guy started giving me a legal advice on how it may be detrimental to ignore collection efforts. The funny part of it - I am the lawyer myself and I usually can sort out the crap pretty easily. Do yourself a favor - do not fall for it and do not give them your credit card number - those people are no better than Indian scammers pretending to call you from IRS to settle the debt. read more

Pretty lame collection attempts for a $7500 account. Never used LinkedIn,Facebook, or Twitter to contact the debtor- sent two emails and tried to get money for a lawsuit. You would be better off calling your debtors yourself. read more

I received a letter from this company claiming I had a seriously past due account with an insurance company. It was suspicious from the start, because I had never had insurance through that company, and had never received any claims I owed them money. Also they did not use the correct legal spelling of my company. After looking online to research them I found this site and nothing but similar complaints. I also contacted my local state department of justice, they agreed it was not legitimate and it was best not to reply. I did however file a complaint in my state against this company, for practicing law without a license. read more

This is a sham law firm that makes it money harassing people who have made payment or payment plans with their debtors. I established a payment plan with Berkeley Ins Co. for the audited Workman's comp amount I owed and they put it over to these rude, clueless "lawyers". Thankfully Berkeley Ins Co. is no longer our required Workman's Comp carrier for our state as they are an administrative mess, missing payments, not crediting them to the right account, etc. The debt has been paid fully and they continue to harass me for an amount that has been settled. I will be contacting the Illinois bar association and the BBB to file a complaint as well. read more

Their collector Ralph Tector was extremely rude and threatening and refused to discuss the bill which I told him I did not owe. He asserted that I had to pay them and if there was an error then they could issue me a refund. Seriously? After contacting the insurance company directly it turned out they owed me a refund.
