They took as many tests as insurance would allow and referred us to this practice to get an MRI. The hospital gave us medicine for pain, swelling and muscle relaxer. The instructions from the hospital said he needed an MRI immediately. It took over two weeks to get in to see someone. The doctor would not do an MRI and barely examined him at all and gave my husband a shot of cortisone to the knee. The shot never worked at all. We received better care at the Hospital. We walked out with no diagnosis and a script for a muscle relaxer and a guess that it was a torn meniscus. They suggested physical therapy but in the absence of a real diagnosis it is ridiculous. We are now going to a wonderful real Doctor and getting an MRI. Do yourself a favor-if you need an Orthopedic Doctor skip this practice-it is expensive Assembly Line Medicine and not real care.

It's crowded at the entrance door and people can easily see your information and the two people at the front desk are preoccupied and barely look up while you're trying to figure out their electronic check in . Many of their elderly patients I'm certain have difficulty with this method of checking in. There is no medical staff that greets you other than the MD himself who performs all the pre appointment checks( BP weight etc) normally done by a nurse or assistant This actually limits the actual time spent discussing your real issues or the reason for your visit,They suggest that it gives them more time with the patient but it does not.They could spend more time doing what the patient is there for by having these things done in advance of there coming in. Bedside manner is lacking as well as thoroughness and timeliness. When having difficulty with a prescription it took 4 days for them to respond, the second time I needed a prescription after two days of not hearing from my pharmacy I called to find out that it had not been submitted but sitting on the MDs desk to review when it was he who suggested the prescription. Now a days I personally do not have enough time left in my life to wait for these people to get a handle on things. I'm certain they will work it out I just don't have the time or patience to wait

DO NOT GO HERE! Very dangerous. I went to see Dr Harriott because of a very slight tear in my…read moremeniscus, upon looking at the MRI, he wasn't even sure it was a tear. I was concerned because I have a heart condition, so I must be able to continue with aggressive cardio exercise. I very clearly explained this to him, so that he understood that my goal was to preserve my very good and structurally sound knees, in order to stay healthy long term. He strongly recommended hyaluronic knee injections. He sold me on them by saying it was a completely natural substance found in rooster crowns, and there were no potential side effects, since it was the exact substance in the knee, etc. He indicated there were imitation and genetically engineered products available, but he only used that actual natural substance from roosters, so I allowed it. (He later confessed that this was not true and that he actually used the genetically engineered product) TRUSTING HIM WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES OF MY LIFE. I should have known better. After the first injection, I began having significant knee pain, in and around the injection site, migrating up and down from the spot of the injection, even though I was very cautious with using the knee and following all instructions as far as icing, etc. I was very concerned and went over with him at great length prior to the second injection, yet he insisted that the injections were completely safe with no potential side effects, and I should just ice it more afterwards. I reluctantly received the second injection. My knee deteriorated significantly afterwards to a point where I could do no cardio exercise anymore. Prior to the 3rd injection, I called and explained the situation, and said I didn't think I should get the 3rd one. They explained that in order for it to work, I must get the 3rd injection and insisted that I come in for the third one - before 30 days or the treatment will not work properly. I waited an extra week due to the pain I was in, and reluctantly went in. I tried again to explain to the doctor about the deterioration of my knee...He said its not possible to have any type of reaction or negative effect from the injection, and that I should ice it more. He insisted on the third injection, so I relented, hoping that it was true and that I needed to complete the treatment in order to see a benefit. Big mistake. I could not even walk after the third injection. I said to him that I can't put any weight on the leg as he held the door and waited for me to leave. I will never forget the sadistic and unempathetic look on his face while he held the door open for me, as I struggled to put any weight on the leg. He then left me in the room to limp out, get the door myself and struggle out of the office to my car. I had to drive home with my left leg on the gas and brake pedal. i WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT I AM A HEALTHY INDIVIDUAL WITH AN EXTREMELY HIGH TOLERANCE TO PAIN AND HAVE PLAYED SPORTS MY WHOLE LIFE. i HAVE HAD MANY INJURIES AND THIS INABILITY TO PUT WEIGHT ON MY LEG WAS THE WORST - INCLUDING BREAKING MY ANKLE IN TWO PLACES. It is now a year and a half later, and I still have extreme pain in the spot of the injection and up and down the knee. There was ZERO pain on this side of the knee prior to the injection. Further, I have done the research and in fact there are substantial side effects to these injections, that outweigh the potential benefits. Good doctors have gotten away from giving them. Money doctors without conscience still do them, gotta keep up a lifestyle I guess.... In summary, this man should not be a doctor. He should have done the world a favor and stayed in engineering. I can't imagine what prompted him to change fields other than $$$$$. It certainly was not an empathetic desire to help people. I wish I never went to him, or Premier for that matter. I would have been much, much, much better off.

My mother saw Dr. Robinson while she lived in Lewes. Toward the end of my mom's time in Lewes she…read morewas getting dementia. Instead of recognizing it, even though my mom was seeing a neurologist for it, Dr. Robinson mistreated my mom and put her, as her next doctor put it, "on more anti-depressants than given to patients in depression treatment centers." All Dr. Robinson saw was a person who didn't care to remember her appointments and was angry because no one was listening to her concerns. My mom was then admitted to hospital and Dr. Robinson all but refused to work with her - when my mom needed a doctor who knew her the most. After my mom was deemed incompetent Dr. Robinson wrote my mom a letter saying she didn't want her as a patient anymore. A sign of an incredible lack of compassion. My recommendation? Do not use Dr. Amy Robinson if you want good and responsible care.

This was his second admission within…read morethe past year, and my 87-year-old mother has also been hospitalized at Beebe during that time. All three experiences raised serious concerns about the care of elderly patients. My father's most recent hospitalization, however, was catastrophic. My concerns involve both the ED and his subsequent hospitalization. My father was seriously ill and medically complex, yet his care lacked the careful assessment, coordination, communication, and planning his condition required. My father has an extreme hearing deficit, and his overall condition further impaired his ability to communicate effectively, provide a reliable history, understand complex medical information, and meaningfully participate in decisions about his care. I am his Medical Power of Attorney and an experienced Nurse Practitioner. More importantly, my father explicitly told his providers to speak with me about his treatment. Despite this, I was rarely consulted about his condition, history, treatment decisions, or overall plan of care. The problems began in the ED. The physician appeared dismissive and made little effort to clarify my father's actual complaint or listen to my concerns. My father described difficulty catching his breath associated with "burping," which the physician characterized as shortness of breath and "indigestion." He had stable vital signs, an oxygen saturation of 98%, and no labored breathing. Given his cirrhosis, severe ascites, and history, I was concerned that his symptoms could reflect esophageal or upper gastrointestinal bleeding. I attempted to communicate these concerns, but they did not receive appropriate consideration. There was a lack of coordination throughout his hospitalization. It was unclear who, if anyone, was directing his care, whether providers were communicating with one another, or what the treatment plan was. For a seriously ill, medically complex 89-year-old patient, there was remarkably little coordinated, team-based planning or management. Equally troubling was the near absence of communication with family. There was no effective process to ensure that my father's designated spokesperson and MPOA was involved in his care--even after he explicitly instructed his providers to communicate with me. Severe hearing impairment is not an incidental issue in a hospitalized elderly patient. It directly affects the patient's ability to provide an accurate history, understand information, and participate meaningfully in treatment decisions. His communication limitations should have resulted in greater attention to family involvement and coordinated decision-making. After three hospitalizations involving my elderly parents, I am deeply concerned about the care Beebe provides to vulnerable elderly patients. In our experience, communication among providers has been poor, communication with family has been minimal, responsibility for the overall plan has often been unclear, and important information from family has not been adequately incorporated into care. My father deserved a careful, coordinated evaluation that accounted for his serious medical conditions, age, communication limitations, and the information available from the person he specifically designated to speak with his providers. That did not happen. These were not minor communication or customer-service problems. They were serious deficiencies in the assessment, coordination, communication, and management of a vulnerable, seriously ill elderly patient. In my father's case, the outcome was catastrophic.
