Yes, I was late for about 10 mins (according to the phone records). Yes, I didn't pick up the phone because I was driving & the phone wasn't close by for me to reach. I said I was on my way because I really was. I did say I didn't live in the area and I had to drive there. The 2nd call the tech said it would take him 20 - 30 mins. I guess the traffic was good so it took him less than 20 mins to get there. I did apologize for being late. I didn't ask the technician to come back at all. What I didn't expect was to be yelled at for the next 5 - 10 mins. The attitude is just NOT acceptable. Typically most vendors would just say " the tech already left because you weren't here. But we can reschedule you..." Instead, this tech told me I wasted his time, and $40 of gas to get there. Very unprofessional. I mean things happened. If he doesn't want to wait, that's fine. But yelling at me and blaming me, even said something about me playing games was something else. The "Demeanor" definitely isn't there. After I left the review on thumbtack (where I found the company), the company responded with a lie saying that they only called in 15 min intervals. I have the phone records to prove that the first call was made at 4:39PM, 2nd at 4:40PM and 3rd at 4:41PM. I arrived and called at 4:50PM. Of course I don't want to get rescheduled because I don't want to do business with the company anymore. NOTE: what my story is to let people think twice before hiring them. I offered coffee, water, soda, cookies - nothing stopped them from their tasks. Albania even starting singing while she was working, so they happily found an accompanying playlist while they labored on.. They worked for hours - and bagged up all the dirtied paper towels and dusters to take to the trashcans. I was there the whole time, but I truly believe that didn't make one bit of difference with these ladies. They were there to finish a job that they had been hired to do. The price was quoted prior to the hire after describing what needed to be cleaned and the size of the house. It is not an hourly rate, but based on the job being completed. When she arrived, I had another cleaning service company there already who also wanted to see the house prior to giving an estimate. Albania said she didn't feel comfortable and left. I called her back once the other company left (which was literally 5 mins after) and she said she won't come back because she doesn't like that I was looking for a quote from another company as well. I don't understand how a business operates in that manner. If you are confident in your work, that should not be an issue.
