My daughter shows up and they say, sorry don't take your insurance, you need to pay out of pocket. They tell her she needs to make a claim on her own with the insurance. Our insurance says we can make the claim but needs x, y, and z info. We reached out to Velocity Care for the additional info by email. 6 weeks later still no response. I called the customer care to inquire if they took our insurance or not and they refused to answer my question because I was not the primal patient. It's a general question not specifically related to a person. What sort of scam are they running at this place? Or is the office staff completely nonsensical?

I have never been talked down to like that in my life. Horrible. Not to mention she prescribed me the entirely wrong antibiotic that will be useless against my problem. I waited 2 entire hours for what I am certain to be the wrong prescription, and when I merely raised my concern, she chewed me out. Truly felt as though she was more focused on trying to feel like she knew what she was talking about rather than actually doing her job and helping her patient.

I walked in late in the evening because of an infected cat bite. There weren't many people there…read more The staff were all friendly, but I got a rushed vibe from them even though the office was practically empty. Two nurses tag-teamed admissions questions. They asked about allergies and I made sure to tell them I am allergic to two antibiotics. They put me in a room and the doctor was in within 10 minutes. She talked to me for maybe two minutes, rushed out again, and rushed back in with a prescription. She only mentioned the brand name to me. I got to the pharmacy and they informed me that the brand name was amoxicillin, which I am allergic to. By that time the doctor's office was already closed. I called them again in the morning to ask if they could fax another prescription to the pharmacy for me, and the nurse took the message. The doctor did not call back for two days. In brief, the staff, including the doctor I saw, were friendly but in too much of a hurry, causing them to make mistakes.

This review would be for the Lexington Va location, although it's the same Drs as the Salem…read morelocation. I had survived stage 3 breast cancer for 10 years, when unexpectedly some Issues showed up in an Xray taken at utgent care for anoter issue. I was immediately referred to Blue Ridge Cancer Care, who I had been happy with my first time around. This time was different though, as my Dr had now changed after 10 years. My new Dr was terrible. I never once heard back from them regarding scans, blood work, etc. It was my GP who would Message and call me with the information. I am stage 4, terminally ill, but was getting all of my updates from a general practitioner. I couldn't reach anyone by phone, and no one would return my calls at BRCC. I had to get the GP Office to do it, or make emergency calls to any BRCC Dr on call. I was diagnosed and after 2 months of waiting for tests that they never scheduled, appointments that I would sit in the waiting room for hours after I was scheduled, and not hearing any inf from anyone, I was left completely untreated. My cancer spread to other organs, and Finally called UVA for a second opinion. By then I was fully anemic and quite ill, despite initially catching the cancer very early. UVA started treatments the same day I was seen, sent me to specialists, gsve me blood transfusions to fight off the anemia caused by lack of treatment, and has been nothing but stellar in my ongoing treatment. Stay away from BRCC. They left me in the dark, didn't give me any info about test results, don't treat my aggressive cancer and did more damage than good.
