There were a few weeks when it actually looked like we were going to have to move to Dallas and we were not too thrilled about that. Sorry Dallas. We prefer HOU. More diverse and Queensesque. And it's home for Bae. We were considering Plano but there were some drawbacks. Then we were considering Frisco because it would have been close to where Barbie was working, or would have been working, and not too far from where I was working, or was supposed to be working, and because it's sort of like a leafy perfectly safe Suburban Paradise. One of the drawbacks was that it was actually quite expensive considering that Texas prices are fairly cheap. Yes these properties are incredibly nice but they're also a little bit generic and not cheap at all. They were gorgeous though and we enjoyed touring around a few of the different homes that we were interested in - and we definitely will consider living here if we ever have to live in the North burbs of Dallas for any depressing reason. Better to live in these slightly-more-diverse (well, Plano and Carrollton and Richardson, if not Frisco) North burbs though, than in the nightmarish endless west burbs, the remote East burbs, or the downtrodden south burbs.

The Taylor Morrison representative was Angela Mathew's. Our closing date was set to be on or about 5/9/2025. In the months between signing our purchase agreement and closing of the property the builder began to drop prices on the same exact property being built on that street and on other streets in the neighborhood (same model size etc). The price was dropped by over $18000. Wanting to continue with the purchase but not wanting to purchase a property that was already depreciated by almost $20,000. We asked the builder if they would honor that price for our home which is the same exact model or if alternatively, we could back out of the purchase of our home and purchase the home that was for sale for $18,100 less. That address was 113 Tornillo Drive Celina two streets over in the same neighborhood. Our goal was to continue to work with the builder and purchased the home, either of them. not to lose $18,000 in the process. We had already paid a $10,200 deposit and simply wanted to transfer that deposit from one home to the other. Both of these requests were made in writing by our realtor as our representative. We got constant runaround, delayed responses, or in some cases no response at all. After much stress and extremely poor customer service and lack of flexibility on behalf of the builder, we decided to withdraw from the process because we were going to be $20,000 in the whole versus just our deposit. In writing, we provided written detail that we were withdrawing from the property. Angela Mathew's then sent us a Docusign saying that they werekeeping our entire deposit because we did not meet the terms of the agreement, even though we were simply trying to transfer it to another property. Additionally, they sent us a DocuSign to state that we would not publish a poor review of them on line . We obviously would not sign such ridiculous paperwork. I think it is very clear. The quality of customer service based on the reviews seen here. Absolutely under no circumstances would I allow anyone? I know to work with Taylor Morrison. I hope they will do the right thing and return our deposit. Also note the house that we backed out of for $345,000 that we offered to pay $326,000 of which they refused to accept is now listed for sale for $317,000.

Initially they wanted us to close on our home with no shower doors, no microwave, and no mirrors. We declined and moved closing. Then they had us blue tape the house and did not do any of the touch ups. Now we've been in the home for 9 months and all the kitchen cabinets are peeling and finish just rubs off. We noticed this immediately and have been given the run around about getting it fixed. We had water leaking into our garage from outside, still not fixed. I could go on and on, but seriously save yourself the grief and build with someone else or make sure it's all done before you close and don't expect them to honor any warranty requests.

From the very beginning they rush you, make you sign something to only work with them (sketchy, red flag) and then they do mediocre work. They're going to take advantage of you and your home when you're in an emergency type situation. As immoral as they come. They messed up my bathroom tile, then made me feel bad when I asked them to do it right. As if I was asking too much when they didn't do it right in the first place? They also installed a random circular silver drain in the shower, when I asked for and ordered a square gold drain. Hello? The owner, Michael, simply chalked it up to "hiring workers that don't speak English." If that doesn't tell you all you need to know... The attention to detail and doing a decent, not even good, job is just not there. They didn't finish caulking behind the toilet or on top of the counter. They scratched the paint off of 3 doors, and refused to compensate or correct. They got dirt all over the walls and even got paint on my front door and hallway tile. They littered cigarette butts and a giant sponge (???) in my front yard. They left an entire garbage can of trash in my front yard. They even messed up my garage door, when that is an area of the house they were NOT authorized to do ANY work in. Who knows where else they were messing around while I wasn't home? When I asked them to remove the master toilet, I specifically and repeatedly asked them to cover the hole in the ground. When I arrived home two days later, I walked in to find the sewage hole completely gaping open, releasing toxic sewage fumes into my home and bedroom. Unbelievably thoughtless, careless, and downright hazardous/dangerous. They started trying to charge us hundreds of dollars at the end for things we already discussed, and then when we tried to talk to the owner, he basically said he'd just hand us over to his lawyer. He knows he is taking advantage of us, so he didn't want to discuss the money details with us. You can see in the attached videos/photos that they also threaten to take legal action against us, should we post an honest review. They don't have any basis to do so, but just want to scare customers into silence. That's why they don't have any other bad reviews on here. It's too late for me, but please, save yourself.
