Had an appointment to view a unit at Wyndham Lake apts. I arrived early so I was waiting out side apartment. I got a text from the person showing me the apartment and he said he was early and will be waiting at the door. I sat there for about 15 mins finally he text again asking about where I was. He was parked and sitting in his car not at the door like he said. There was 2 Lexington van between us so I had no idea he was there. We then went into the apartment where 2 maintenance men we're working. I was on my own after that the person that was suppose to be showing me just stood there talking with the maintenance man that was there. Not very helpful and definitely not professional. Makes me wonder how your treated after you signed a lease. Put a lot of questions in my mind and it made me go find something else. I've lived at one of their locations for over 5 years with a spotless record, but since I missed an email stating I needed to provide proof of insurance, I was fined $250. I called after providing the proof of insurance to see if they could wave the fee, and their support staff was rude and unhelpful, and effectively told me to "kick rocks". I'll be leaving this unit when my lease expires and will never recommend Lexington to any friends or family. read more

Renter beware. This company is clearly only in it for their profits and that's it. You get the bare minimum notice for random inspections. Service requests go unanswered for a week or more before you get a 24 hour notice saying they will be there to repair it. When we moved in, the apartment had minor spots of concern (dirt/bugs in the window tracks, uneven scratchy carpeting in the kitchen, broken tray in the clothes washer). They never did anything about the carpet, and it took them a about a week and a half to get to the tray. The lease itself is quite extraordinary. Many specific, high cost fees associated with any minor infraction. No painting, can't hang too many things on the walls, and they certainly can't be anything heavy. No bath mats with the special coating to prevent slipping because it will apparently damage their precious floors. Fast forward to move out. The lease says they require a professional carpet cleaning service. Pretty absurd to begin with, but I signed the lease and knew that would be a requirement. Due to COVID, that became more of a challenge, so we assumed they would just deduct it from the security deposit. $150 dollars down the drain. Instead of doing that, they sent the bill along with the remainder of the security deposit. Not sure why it couldn't have been deducted and save us the additional hassle, but it seems clear that their employees are just lazy in addition to greedy. When we met for the move out appointment, we had a very terse interaction with a woman who had me and my roommate go around to each light switch with a rag to remove... I don't really know exactly because one of the switches had -never- been used (had a plastic cover on it to prevent it from being used), and she actually looked at it and told me it was dirty. We spent an hour with her on these minor details, and spoke to another woman (much friendlier than the first) who gave us many assurances that any additional cleaning wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. Turns out, after all our efforts, we were billed for 4 hours of cleaning (another $200 dollars). In addition to that, we knew of the light bulb being burned out in the garage, so we provided a new light bulb to replace it, but didn't do it ourselves because we lacked a ladder. We were charged $10 for a new light bulb. Suffice it to say, our experience was less than pleasurable. read more

We signed a lease with Urban Edge in May, primarily because of the dog-friendly amenities and atmosphere. Shortly after moving in someone mentioned that more than 60% of the residents are dog owners like us. The apartment was lovely and the maintenance people very friendly and attentive, UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2019, when LEXINGTON MANAGEMENT assumed ownership. Within hours, some of the pet friendly amenities began to disappear, as did the community golf carts. Notices of substantial rent increases went out and everything has changed for the worse. I feel very badly for the senior citizens who clearly considered this community their home, and for the people who moved to Urban Edge for the special amenities that no longer exist. February 21, 2023 Lexington Management, On February 15, 2022 i Katy Termaat , Ezekial Saladana, and William Roberts entered a contract / lease with lexington to rent a duplex on Rosemary Lane . Per our original Contract it specifically reads as follows in regards to animals on the property (page 2 # 6) Animals that are not approved ,and brought onto the property by tenants ,or guests will result in a 500.00 fine per occurrence . On 01/06/2023 your staff arrived at my home to do a walkthrough , and noticed that ,i had a visiting canine , and a caged lizard , i was then given notice on January 19 , 2023 that , i had 5 days to move ,or pay 1000,00 fine . I recently reviewed the original contract and the 5 day eviction notice , and I realized that there are several discrepancies in the 5 day eviction notice vs the legal contract I originally signed on 02/15/2022 . I have tried several times to resolve this issue of the fines , and it led to us feeling bullied, and intimidated. At this time I believe that the wording in the five day eviction notice was purposefully and fraudulently changed . The five day eviction notice states that per occurrence , per animal, lexington also added the caged animal in the eviction notice , it does not state the same in the original lease. I believe that Lexington has committed several violations in accordance with Wisconsin State Laws. There have also been several other instances that the behavior of Lexington Management has been highly questionable . Lexington management came to the Rosemary dr Property on February 15 ,2023 ( Jill & Elizabeth) they knocked on the door , and we (the parents) did not hear them , in the meanwhile My 5 Year old son went to the door because he thought his grandmother was at the home . Jill & Elizabeth tried getting my 5 year old son to open the door, I find this behavior very unprofessional. Lexington Management has zero regard for safety, or respect for us as tenants. Lastly My family ,and i have been very ill the past few weeks ; Lexington notified me that they were doing a walkthrough on February 14 ,2023 , i responded to let lexington know that we were sick ,and they would have to reschedule , they never responded(unprofessional) on Feb 15 they scheduled another showing ( lexington cancelled) . Then again after being told that the family was ill Lexington entered the property on 02/16/2023 this is when Jill ,and /or Elizabeth tried forcing my 5 year old son to open the door (they did view the property) On February 21 Lexington notified us that they wanted to do another walkthrough , i again notified them that the family is still ill , and we were all diagnosed with strep throat ,by the clinic on 02/20/2023. Lexington has shown zero regard for our family while we are ill , we need to rest ,not have people walking through our home. I am seriously concerned at the lack of regard for public health in regards to having the public unknowingly walk through a home with illness present without any personal protective equipment ( face masks,hand sanitizer). We are just coming out of a pandemic, and I believe people have the right to be notified ,if families are ill. Conclusion Lexington management has zero legal right to charge the extra 500$ fine due to the fact that there was only one occurrence noted in the original lease. Horrible place to rent. I lived in the Patriot Estates in Menasha had terrible structure which caused black mold issues. I sent in countless requests to fix it, and the only solution they had was telling ME to buy a dehumidifier, even though the structural problems was causing moisture issues. And expect you to clean a basic crappy apartment to five star ratings when you move. Horrible management, do yourself a favor and pay the extra money to rent somewhere better! read more

Avoid dealing with this management company at all cost. To say they are bullies is an understatement. You will hear EVERY sound from your neighbors. Also this property is well known in the community for the sale and use of drugs, therefore not a good choice for safety. They do not acknowledge accommodations for those with disabilities and will disregard any and all communications. When they do communicate, it is prefaced with threats and manipulation. I am a healthcare worker and during my tenure as a nurse have contracted TB. Lexington management has denied my request to vacate the property in Pleasant Prairie, Wi for fear of the safety of the other residence. I've rented from 2 Lexington properties now; Waterford Heights in De Pere and now Aria in Hobart (brand new building). Waterford was fantastic, no issues, great location and management was always available... Now Aria on the other hand...building is built super cheap and you get charged an arm and a leg for rent... the heating units are terrible (make you feel like you're in a cheap hotel) and running them so so far in the winter created a $250 electric bill and amongst this crazy weather I've been informed they're not sending out the plows due to conditions... well thank god im not an EMT or a doctor that needed to get to work... nice to see the other apartment companies are taking care of their tenants. These people are some of the worst. They will do everything and anything to take your money upon moving out. They do not hire maids "unless your cleaning isn't good enough and we will take maid payment out of your deposit. It's a way for them to get free maid service. The girl who took my apartment wanted my blackout curtains to remain up since I wasn't taking them and they witnessed the transaction. They then charged me 75 dollars for leaving them up and will not give me that money back even though the property manager witnessed the transaction and a note was left. read more

Quite possibly the worst property management company on the face of the earth. As most other reviews have said, they are greedy, inflexible, and untruthful. One particularly irritating thing is that written correspondence is never signed as if they are afraid to reveal their names. No on site managers. Unable to retain apartment managers, its a constantly revolving door and residents are not usually notified of changes in management. Zero communication with residents despite the fact that residents' e-mails are provided. The only time residents hear from Lexington is when they want money. we put in a noise complaint because our neighbor was playing music loud. It's been going on since they moved in. We gave them the benefit of doubt but it just kept going on for 3 months now. Lexington say it's not their issue and we should called the cops on the neighbor. We didn't want to escalate to the police. Apartment anesthetics are nice by sound proofing between downstairs apt and upstairs apt is awful. Can here screeching of chair being pulled out. Dog ball bouncing on floor, marble like dropping on floor. Clunking of walking, and souls like elliptical being used. Dog waste not being picked up and no reminders sent to residents of the lease requirement to pick up after your pet. People driving too fast in dtiveway( finally put very small sgl sign at entrance telling of 10mpg) no signs anywhere else. Trash frequently overflowing onto ground prior to pickup ( had suggested more freq pick ups. People have difficulty finding your build as the sign is home residence size and hidden under eve. Downspout empties out right by door causing severe ice problem in front door. Made one measly attempt to put salt down once. Property management generally difficult to work with. read more

I was contracted to clean the apartments/stairwells of their apartment complexes but when I asked for my money, they stated that we had no agreement and they were not going to pay. I have therefor obtained legal council and am currently suing them in small claims court. The apartments are not taken care of, they do horrible work/construction and they often lie to perspective customers in order to sell the unit. We've rented from Lexington for 6 years and it has honestly been the worse experience in renting. Although Mike is a wonderful person and on top of all situations that come up the management in general is bad. Our washing machine froze up for 2 winters - when my husband called them their response was that "we will put you on the list." Our rent has been raised for the last 3 years. And not by a small amount $150.00 to be exact. There was also a fire that happened in the heater. Do you think we may have been compensated for all our troubles? Nope! All we got was a substantial raise in rent right and right during the COVID crisis. I would not recommend renting from Lexington. read more

Signed our lease at Prairiewater Place and what an AWFUL move out it was. We were charged our ENTIRE security deposit for base trim, knobs, light switches, washer and dryer, window sills, and a few other misc. things. They claimed it took 9.5 hours charging an absurd amount. That is not the worst part, earlier in the year they needed to replace our stove because the heating element was no longer moving. Upon moving out they claimed they needed to replace the top of the stove because it was TOO damaged. My thought is all they were trying to do was regain some of their money for the cost of the new stove. If I could post a photo I would, absolutely ridiculous and poor management. Lexington Management Homes was a very frustrating company to rent from if you have life changes. They were very difficult to work with and gave me a variety of inaccurate information until the day it was needed. I rented from Lexington Management in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin at Harbor Winds. The property manager I had no issues with but the management out of Green bay is where the problem was at. I moved there in August and ended up having a new job come up in the Milwaukee area in March. Since I was looking for a new position I proactively called and asked them how they handle subleasing, if they assist with it/not assist, do they allow it, etc. I asked specifically if I were to post a craigslist ad for subleasing would you allow me to pay a lump sum of money at the time I move out which would allow the subleaser to sign an agreement for however much was left for rent. For example I was going to offer to pay $100 per month through my August rent depending on how quickly I could rent the apartment. In other words if someone signed my lease and had 6 months left on my old lease then I would pay Lexington Management $600 and the rent would be $100 off the normal cost per month in their agreement. They said that shouldn't be a problem and that I would simply need to work with the property manager on site when that happened. After being told this I posted my Craigslist ad online and had someone lined up to look at the apartment. They filled an application out and liked the apartment and when it came to the night where we were going to sign the lease the property manager was confirming all the information with Green bay management and they told the property manager that they do not allow subleasing in anyway and that I am responsible for my apartment through August. After telling the potential subleaser that this wasn't going to work out we tried to work with the management in Green Bay to see if there was anything that could be done. We asked if they could sign a new 6 month lease and pay a little more each month as this is a common scenario at other places I have rented from. They told us absolutely not and that they only allow 12 month leases. The potential subleaser moved on and didn't want to deal with the situation and I could not blame them. I talked to the on-site person a bit more and he said that in the past they had done 6 month leases in special situations when approved or if they had a new tenant that wanted to move in they could write a new lease with that individual and that would then release me from my existing lease. I called Green Bay management yet again to find out if this information was accurate because I was being told multiple things but most of it turned out not to be true. Green Bay management said they would call me back at this point. After not hearing from them for 3 days, I called back and asked if there was any update they could provide on the situation... they told me that they would allow a 6 month lease if someone wanted to sign it but the cost would be $50 more per month and the security deposit would be $500 instead of $250. They also said that if someone were to sign a new lease for 12 full months then they could release me from my existing lease with them at that point. They also said to work with the onsite property manager to let him know my intent of moving out and he could let applicants know they have an open apartment. I was happy this was working out but a bit frustrated because I wasted 2 months looking for a subleaser on my own from their original information. I was also frustrated because if I was given this information in the first place I would have told the onsite property manager about my intentions and very likely would not have had to pay an additional 2 months' rent because they found a new tenant within 2 1/2 weeks after I informed the onsite property manager. One side note is that I paid for a full month's rent and moved out mid-month and the new tenant moved in on the 16th of the month. I was not given back the 1/2 months' rent that I paid... so therefore Lexington Management got double payment for that months' rent. They did not explain why this happened to me and I was beyond frustrated with the whole back and forth that I simply didn't want to deal with them given all the back and forth I already dealt with in the past. In short, the Harbor Winds apartments were decent inside, the price was reasonable and the onsite management was nice. The management in Green Bay that you have to deal with on everything was very very misleading, shady and I would highly suggest not renting from them based on this. I have rented for over 10 years in the past and never had issues and miscommunication within the organization as much as I had with Lexington Management Homes. Steer clear from them. read more

Rather than increase garbage service Management encouraged residents to TURN IN their neighbors for improper break down of boxes, and for narcing out your neighbors you get an account credit. Lovely Gestapo tactics. Deanna in their Finance group is both rude and unprofessional and inaccurate in her interactions with tenants. Lexington seems to believe that they are doing their tenants a favor letting them live there, rather than recognizing that they provide service for which they are compensated by those tenants. Those same tenants can and will move out at the conclusion of their lease (me!) Don't be sucked in by the first appearances. By far the most unpleasant property management company I've rented an apartment from. I moved from out of state. So, I was unable to see the property prior to signing my lease. But, it was new construction and they told me it would be complete by my move in date. What was not disclosed to me was that my parking lot hadn't even been started on and wouldn't be until about halfway through my lease. The lines on it weren't painted until the week before my lease ended. We constantly had to deal with issues surrounding people living there being inconvenient while the place was under construction. Why move people in before completion if they will be in your way? We constantly got emails about how we couldn't park in our unfinished parking lot for days and weeks at a time. We had attached garages. But, parking in them resulted in us not being able to move our vehicles all day and foot traffic was even prohibited during certain times. Screw our lives and plans, right? On top of all that, I'm disabled. So, parking in my garage or right in front of my apartment is imperative. I even asked for a handicap spot in front of my apartment. That request was denied. But, they put one in after they told me they weren't renewing my lease. That's an entire issue on its own. I never paid my rent late. I never had any complaints against me or required repairs in my apartment. The only thing I ever had an issue with was our electricity going out a few times which resulted in a box outside the building needing to be replaced. But, they waited until two weeks after I had my second brain surgery while living there to say I had to move out. Well, I could barely get around, much less move my family. Lexington Management LLC is all about money. They do not ever take into consideration that you are a person with basic needs and that they should provide you with peaceful enjoyment of your unit. Constant construction and a parking lot with ice so thick during the winter you can't move your car without sliding into someone is not okay. When I called about the parking lot needing salt, I was told they weren't going to do that because the sun would melt it. I guess me having concerns about my safety was a problem since they had actually sent me an early renewal to sign right before I made that complaint. As soon as I made that last complaint, boom! A non-renewal notice. So, if you rent from Lexington, you can be on time with payments, quiet, and perfect in every way you'd expect your own tenant to be and still be treated like utter shit and told to pack up so they can move someone else in. I tried to level with "corporate" since my property manager said it was a "corporate" decision to make us leave. I called and politely asked to speak with someone who dealt with lease renewals. I explained who I was and wanted to know if there were any grievances that I could address to correct the situation. I was assured that there were none and "just like you are only required to give us a 60 day move out notice, we have the same right. We also don't need to give you a reason." I told her that I had brain surgery a couple weeks before and moving would be a huge hardship on me and I really would like to know what could be done to allow us to stay as I knew of nothing I had done wrong. I was told that someone higher up would call me back to talk more. But, I never got the call. Per my lease, I was to leave the apartment move in ready for the next tenant. So, I paid for professional carpet cleaning and professional cleaners to clean the apartment. I spent about $400 on all that. When we did the walk through, I was told they would have their own cleaners to come in because my light switch covers were all dusty. Come on! You dust those things and they are dusty again in a couple days. So, my $500 deposit had $213.64 deduced for their cleaners to dust light switch covers. The invoice was 4.5 hours of cleaning. Haha! Yeah right. So, that was over $600 out of my pocket on move out costs there. Plus, my moving truck, deposit on a new place, double rent for the month so I had time to move, etc. Lexington ended up costing me over $4k that one month due to having to move. Most people wouldn't even have that kind of money and would have been homeless or gotten behind on other bills. They told me that I'm never allowed to rent from them again. But, why in the hell would I want to after they treated me like that? I have tenants of my own who I would NEVER mistreat. I value them and want them to stay unless they destroy property or completely miss a payment and we can't work it out. Trust me. Do not put yourself through what I went through Update: I also forgot to add that my mailbox wasn't properly installed and I wasn't able to get mail for the first month of living there. It's a shared box. So, that was happening to everyone who lived in the building. I had to drive to the post office every day if I wanted my mail checked regularly. read more

1 star is way to high of a rating for this place .Im living over in the Bridgewater Trails apartments, owned by Lexington, and while I was home today someone from managment came through showing my apartment. Which is nothing new, this was literally the 7th time in the past week they've been in here, but this particular time I had no prior notice making it illegal entry of my apartment. Now I'm wondering just how many times they have pulled this shit in the past since I'm usually at work. I wanted to say something but last time I blew up at Lexington because of they're Illogical procedures... I got a 5 day eviction notice as a warning since apparently it's in the lease that you have to show them respect at all times and basically cram all their bullshit they force you to deal with up your ass otherwise you're out. I'm just now finishing my 18 months leave with these shitheads and I'm almost in tears thinking of that day. We lived at Terrace Lake for just over a year and had one of the best apartment-living experiences we've ever had. I never had to deal with Lexington Management, just the property manger Jed who is AWESOME! He responded to all of my emails within minutes and was always very friendly and helpful. Maintenance requests were taken care of promptly and overall it is a very nice, quiet and safe place to live. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone. read more

I had to get the US government to threaten to sue owners to allow me to have my special needs animal in the unit. got multiple warnings for fines for leaving a bucket or bag of food that didn't fit in my freezer. after i gave my notice to move out fined me $500 and wouldn't allow me to pay water bill or current rent until that was paid. Trust me never move into any lexington management homes. worst experience of your life. i promise. also a bonus i lost my garage door opener took them two months to get me a new one so i was locked out of my garage for two months. read more

DO NOT RENT OR BUY FROM LEXINGTON! The buildings are so cheaply built they just barely meet building codes (or in some case they don't at all). They're management team are clueless, the living conditions are sub par at best. The property I lived in the air conditioning units had no insulation in them. We made calls through out the fall letting them know there was something wrong only to be told that a strong draft from your AC units is normal. Winter hits and all of a sudden our living room and bedrooms are covered in ice. We were the first people to live in our BRAND NEW unit and the master bedroom toilet leaked. It took them 3 weeks to come out and change it. When they changed it they pulled a construction worker off the job site next door to install a toilet. Not being a plumber, he over tightened the bolts that secure the toilet, so as soon as someone sat on it it cracked. Guess what, another three weeks of un-returned phone calls before we finally received working toilet. When you turned off the master bathroom light, the power in half the apartment would go out. When my daughter would turn off her bedroom light, the other half of the apartments power would go out. The carpet is something I've never experienced before, it wears out so quickly. Even with daily vacuuming it looked old, crushed and worn out after only a few months. They will let just about anyone into their apartments as long as they make payments. We had the loudest, most aggressive and harassing neighbors upstairs. It was a family of 5 or 6 living in a 3 bedroom apartment. They were nasty, leaving junk in front of their front door and dropping random items off their upstairs patio on to ours every day. This included toys, beer cans, and cigarette butts. We had to call the police on numerous occasions. After an initial polite introduction and welcome to the complex from our family, we told them the noise was very loud upstairs. From that point on they did their best to make as much noise as possible. Their pack of what I call 'feral children' would literally bang on the floor all day long. Morning, afternoon, night and well into the wee hours of the morning. Management did nothing. When we asked to get out of our lease, management told us the tenants upstairs had already put in their 30 notice. Alright, we thought, we'll just wait it out. 30 days came and went and they were still there. Brought it up again, and management again told us they would be out on a specific date. This was March, we moved out in July. I believe those tenants are still living there to this day. Phone calls are NEVER returned. If you have a problem with anything inside your apartment, heaven help you. When you call the front office they range from unpleasant to down right nasty. The outside was horrible, bare dirt with patches of grass and dead sod where they made a half ass attempt at landscaping. The sprinkler system they installed pointed right at my front door. Thankfully, since they always use substandard products and contractors the system broke after the first winter. When our lease was finally up, we found a new place to live we prepared the apartment to hand back over. Our final walk through went great and the property manager was pleased. She even said "The apartment looks great! We'll be mailing to deposit check back to you in about a month". About a month later I received a bill in the mail for over a thousand dollars in a convoluted chain of nonsensical billing charts. According to them we missed rent payments (I have records of all my checks, all the money came out, should THEY have records of this? Should I have been evicted if I didn't pay?) as well as having to replace a toilet seat and a 2' by 3' square of carpet. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

1 star only because I HAD to choose something to make a post! The worst rental company to rent from. Buying or building with them either would be your worst investment ever! Brand new Bridgewater Trail in Appleton and our 3 bedroom townhome style unit the winters were brutally cold in the lower level. We slept with 4 heavy blanketS every night to avoid a $300 monthly heat bill due to the walls being paper thin and the windows letting in the cold air. The windows howled the cold drafts. Then the plumping doesn't allow for proper toilet flushes and had maintenance come for clogging issue. Charged us $300 when the plummer told us it was the cheap toilets they had installed. Only 2 garbage dumpsters for hundreds of units that are only picked up 1x per week with garbage overflowing. Can't hang pictures or curtains without extra charges per room fees for nail holes. The pricing changes depending on who you are. No pets one day then people have dogs. Heavy rain causes water in entryways and garage have water collection. But yet this company still has hundreds of units still being built so decent people have no other option but rent from these money hungry greedy people. This is what the world is coming to...so sad! I have been out of this Hell Hole now for 2 months and I wasn't going to write a review because I didn't want to waste one more second with this greedy, rude, unfriendly, and dishonest company. I moved into the Prairiwater complex the end of November 2018. I live in the apartment 8 months and I had to get the heck out from under this greedy, controlling company. The contractors were actually still putting the doors on the day I started moving in. Needless to say the apartment was left with building dirt and dust for me to clean up. I did so without compliant. Once I moved in it took Melissa 3 months to get me my garage door opener. Always someone else's fault? Due to all the rules and restrictions I didn't feel comfortable putting anything up on my walls so the place was bare while I lived there. It was a two bedroom apartment but I only used one bedroom. The buildings are put up super cheap to get people in fast and make money as soon as possible. Lexington is putting up hundreds of units in this general area just north of highway 41 in Appleton just north of the dump. Not sure why they picked this location because it smells like dump and paper mill all the time pretty disgusting. Prairiwater only had one garbage and one recycled dumpster for the entire complex. It was always over flowing. Instead of adding an additional dumpster for tenant convenience and sanitary purposes management sent out a nasty letter to all the tenants blaming them for miss using the dumpsters and threatening to put a camera up at the dumpster and fining anyone they felt was miss using the dumpster $500.00. This didn't surprise me a bit as this company is very greedy and looks for any opportunity to steal more money from their tenants. There are a million things I could caution anyone against with this company but I think I am probably limited to space. So I just have one more complaint I have to share. Before I moved out I bought a house. I closed on the house 1 and a half months before I had to move out of my Prairiwater apartment. This gave me plenty of time to do a very thorough cleaning of the apartment. I deluded myself to thinking maybe I would get a portion of my security deposit back. After I moved out I got a letter from Lexington stating that the apartment was not left in satisfactory condition. That was so much bull crap. It was actually in better condition than when I moved in with the contractor dirt and dust I had to clean up. Not only did I scrub all the floors, appliances, bathroom fixtures, and garage I only live there for 8 months. So not only did Lexington take my $500.00 security deposit they sent me an additional bill for $160.00 for cleaning. This company is so money hungry they look for any and every way to take advantage of their tenants. As most people I feel like I have no recourse. To take them to court for dishonest renting practices would most likely cost me more than what they stole from me already so I guess I just keep paying. I wish that somehow we the people had some way of getting justice from big companies that take advantage of us. Bottom line is NEVER RENT FROM LEXINGTON MANAGEMENT read more

The worst place I have ever rented from in my life. I wish I could give them a zero star rating. I lived in my apartment for 7 months and then I had to get out. I couldn't deal with management or the actual lack of management. Read the other posts! Believe the warnings! All this company cares about is money. Not their tenants. My roommate and I leased an upstairs apartment here for one year, and would not suggest them to anyone. First, the management is terrible. We were charged an extra $50 one month because our check got lost in the mail and came a day late. Why didn't we use their online payment option? Because it costs an extra $25 per use. We were never given a form to fill out listing any existing damage to the apartment and were charged for EVERYTHING that was wrong, all of which (except one small mark on a wall) was already there. We called Lexington about 45 days before our lease expired to tell them we would be leaving when it expired. That was when we found out that no, even if your lease expires, you still have to pay rent until either they find another tenant, or 60 days pass. We then told them we wanted them to find a tenant as soon as possible for when our lease expired. They told us they had a tenant for the middle of the month after the lease was up, and that we would need to be out two days before the next tenant moved in and we would only have to pay half the months rent. They then told us as we finished the walk through, after everything was moved out, that the new tenant changed their minds and we would have to pay the whole month. So now we have to pay rent for two places for the same month. They were extremely rude in every encounter we had. And they also claimed they had sent us a form asking if we intended to renew our lease nearly a month earlier. They said that since we never responded they assumed we were staying. We never responded because we never got that form. The water temperature in the shower varied constantly while you used it. The door to the hallway was super thin, you could hear everything inside the other apartments when you walked by. The washing machine was ridiculously loud, the shower and sink drains would clog monthly and need draino (nothing besides dirty water went down them). There was never enough parking because the other tenants would have friends over who parked on the lot instead of the street so the lot was always full, and the management did nothing. Snow removal didn't usually happen until about nine in the morning, which made me late to work several times that winter. The windows were poorly insulated, they froze over in the winter and fogged up in the summer. Rent at your own discretion, obviously, but if you want my advice, keep looking. read more
