First of all, I came here with my grand kiddies after visiting the tinkity town after our quail watching tour. I'll be honest, there weren't that many other restaurants with menus that were really fancy or had more than like 4 choices. We decided on this because it was a large menu and looked nice. (It's not nice). The patio was nice enough looking into the town and out to the water... we came for dinner, decided to get only appetizers because the place looked like crap but we couldn't leave and then finally settled on dinner after we couldn't find much else with our panic searches. Menus were only in French, which is a serious problem if you don't speak French or have wifi to translate (and let's be clear, every single other restaurant we've been to in French Canada has given us an English menu.) The calamari was actually pretty good but very basic and other appetizers were mediocre at best. Food was all bar food and has some weird stuff (like no beef nachos, no regular burgers etc). We all got fish in chips, not horrible. The poutine was alright. Shrimp roll was gross. Our waitress even seemed to acknowledging that the food wasn't that great. Bar food at best, reheated Cisco at worst. And actually I've had better bar food. Don't come here, rough it out somewhere else or cook at home. Update: everyone's stomach was upset after we came here.

The space was beautifully decorated with house plants and art on the walls of local plants and sea creatures. There was even a mini shop of teas and herbals at the entrance. The menu highlighted seafood and local farm to table options. We chose two appetizers including the fois gras with berry sauce and a charcuterie and cheese platter. It was all visually beautiful AND tasty! My husband tried the homemade seabuckthorn lemonade drink which reminded us of a combination of pineapple and orange juice. Our entree was the mussels with onions and wine sauce with fries on the side. Delicious! The waitstaff were so friendly even though the restaurant got very busy while we were there. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We continued to be tantalized by the pouding chomeur with blueberries. The desserts were on display in a dessert cabinet near us. They warmed up the pouding (which is a traditional Québécois dessert) and served it with a drizzle of cream sauce (containing Irish creme ?) . It was a wonderful ending to the meal.

The place: So, this is a food truck - but there are tables outside so you can eat there or take your stuff to go. The food: SO GOOD. In fact, during our 2.5 day stay, we went twice! Our first visit was after a 6-hour drive so we were famished. My friend and I both ordered the poutine and it was awesome. The fries weren't greasy, they were generous with the fromage and the gravy was perfect. Gravy is key to making a good poutine. Our second meal involved club sandwiches with a side of fries; again, the fries were great and the club sandwich was excellent. They offer a good variety of other eats too, like burgers, grilled cheese and hot dogs. Service: Good. Price point: I can't remember the exact prices but they were pretty decent, especially when compared to some of the other restaurants in the village. I'll be back next year when they reopen for the 2022 season!
