I Recommend this vet to everyone! I'm a college student, and I was driving back to school. I noticed at rest stop my dog couldn't stand on one of his legs. So I thought maybe he might have broken it. So I turned back around to go home, and when I got home. He couldn't stand on BOTH LEGS. We got referred to Dr. León by our previous vet. My dog had to have two metal plates put in his vertebrate. Due to one of vertebrate being unstable. Surgery was successful, and currently, my dog is in PT and making significant progress. He can stand on all four paws again. Dr. Leon's knowledge and the ability to explain it in simple terms make him a great vet. He takes the time to explain and answer all your questions as he knows these are, our fur babies. He is bilingual!!! Your dog is in great care. His staff was also attentive when we needed something! I knew my dog was in great hands when I left him overnight. This was is by far the best service I have received in Mexico. They are punctual with their appointments. If you care about your pet, you would come here! I don't even know where to begin, but to sum it all up... this IS THE BEST VET IN BAJA! They deserve 10 stars, not just 5.. absolutely outstanding! I walked in without an appointment on a Saturday with my English bulldog. He had a mass the size of a baseball on his cheek. Instantly they greeted us warmly and got us into the exam room within minutes. ( Now while I was in the lobby for a few moments before the exam.. I watched them sanitize and clean the room. But this was no basic wipe down, they extremely and throughly cleaned the room... it was another good sign) The techs were amazing. So sweet to him, so knowledgeable, taking initiative. They figured out the issue, took him in the back and did a procedure and made him as good as new. I wish remembered the two woman who took care of him. They were phenomenal. Then I was nervous about the price, since we were an impromptu visit, and we needed a procedure done along with medication.... but again they shocked me with an affordable price. Gloria at the front desk was friendly, helpful and genuinely an amazing soul. I'm thankful that she was understanding, kind and easy to speak to. Thank you so much! You literally saved my babies life! I will never go to any other vet than León. (and I think next time I'm in Rosarito... Sometimes it's a good experience. Sometimes it's a bad experience. The old woman who works at the front desk is brutal. Very rude. She thinks she's important because she speaks English. Treated our family and pet horrible. You would think she works at a used car dealership by the way she acts, not a medical office. Very cold and rude. The actual doctors are good though. read more

I've been taking our dogs for years. Dr. Leon is very sweet and caring. All staff are very nice. He is very thorough and accommodating. Shots and care are reasonable. My experience here far exceeded my expectations. Dr León and his staff were truly exceptional, as well as Dr Diana, their physical therapist. I live in Southern California and the local animal hospital gave us a quote for several thousands of dollars for a spinal my dog needed. My husband refused to pay that kind of money and I was devastated. We were given a referral to León Vet Clinic and they were wonderful. They speak excellent English and Dr León did an excellent job on the major spinal surgery my dog needed, who was paralyzed prior to the procedure. He made a complete come back. We left our dog there for almost two months to recover and receive physiotherapy with Dr. Diana, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the results. He also lost a lot of weight during his stay there that we were never able to get him to lose ourselves. His weight issue played a role in his spinal issue. He was a whole new dog. We paid a fraction of what we would have in California for the level of expertise and service we received. I highly recommend them, especially if you have a complicated case and need a highly skilled neurologist. read more

Sorry to say that this like other veterinary clinics only provide service on office hours even tough they advertise emergencies untill 12am... that's just not true. I wish at least one veterinary cared enough to honor their emergency services. One of my cats died because veterinarians just dont care here in Mexico. I'm not saying that they're bad vets, I just hate that they don't care... BTW I took my cat at 7:05 on tuesday and they where closed. read more

Gloria and Dr. Leon and the rest of the staff are AWESOME. My cat swallowed a sewing needle and needed emergency surgery. I called my usual vet in Rosarito but she was out of town and recommended DrLeon. I was nervous about going to a vet I didn't know for an emergency surgery but I couldn't have been happier with the result. He was able to make the procedure minimally invasive which cut down on recovery time. All of the staff were SO friendly and competent and helpful. I wish we had more vets like this in the US! For US folks- don't be nervous about using these vets in Rosarito. They are phenomenal. I would never have been able to afford what the US emergency vet wanted to remove the needle ($3000!). Fwiw, I'm the daughter of two veterinarians and have worked in vet clinics and I've been consistently impressed with the care my pets have received. I drive from San Diego and it's more than worth it. Thank you Gloria and Dr Leon! Chico is doing great and I could not be more grateful for the care you gave him... and me! read more

While on vacation, I happened to stop by this clinic to see if I could get my dog (who was not with me) her usual meds for frequent ear infections. The Dr. was so nice and helpful. He had everything I use in the US including my dogs special diet. I got all the meds I needed (including Apoquel which is outrageously expensive in the US) for less than half of what I normally pay. They also had the cutest outfits and accessaries for your pampered pooch. I love this place and if I lived anywhere near here, I would bring my dogs to this clinic! read more

my cat has a swollen foot so we took her to Leon Clinica Veterinaria and they were wonderful!! So nice to my Lucy, great customer service, and instead of jumping to the most expensive outcome, they told us to try anti flammatory shots for a few days and bring her back if her foot is still swollen, they even gave a CD of the x-ray!!
