I went to 2 other vets but this one took great care of my dog and actually cared for his wellbeing in such a stressful situation. They have an english speaking staff member which made communication easier and was able to understand the situation better. Even post op they still answered any questions i had. As you know vet prices in the United States are INSANE! I needed some tests for my doggy, per my vet in the US and they are unaffordable for my budget. I have seen a lot of social media posts about people taking their dogs to Tijuana to the vet, and I decided to give it a shot. The front desk staff was very sweet and helpful. They care about your pets so much. The doctor was outstanding, so patient and so sweet to my baby. He observed here carefully and just took his time explaining her issues to me. After the consultation, they kept my baby to run some bloodwork and xrays, after those tests they kept her at the spa for some glam-up. I was able to leave her at the spa until 5 pm, so meanwhile I went to do some eating and shopping. It was a great day and my baby seem very calm, I think she liked it there. Lied about my dogs kidneys and heart failing , i was also told she had a uterus infection but that because she had these other health problems they could not give her any antibiotics or meds so basically i left with option of sleeping her i got a second opinion who read the results that, by the way are given to you by email many days later. This new Dr. told me that all her results were normal except the uterus infection but that could be easily treated and hoping we didn't wait to long . By the way when i told the new doctor where i took her he was not surprised and knew many horror stories from his clients that have gone this place and as im walking out clients in the waiting room heard our talk and confirmed that they knew the place and have also had very bad experiences. My boyfriend and I found ourselves living a nightmare when our baby mochi had accidentally been ran over. Immediately my boyfriend calls multiple vets and Andaluz Hospital were the first to answer and immediately took our dog. The X-rays revealed her femur and hips were broken with multiple fractures. From the start the staff of Andaluz were incredibly caring but very transparent and honest about her condition and what would best. We decided surgery was the next step in which the medic team was incredibly informative and honest about the pros and cons of her surgery and post op. Her surgery was very successful and I can't thank the surgical team and administration of Andaluz enough. We left her there before and after her surgery ( 12 days) in which they were immensely communicative. They always answer, updated me everyday about her, sent me photos of her post care. The team of Andaluz went beyond the stars and provided the best care and comfortable environment for her after her surgery. They truly made me feel at such ease knowing and seeing just how much care and love they're giving her during her recovery. I can truly say the team of Andaluz performed an amazing successful surgery for such a delicate and complex fractures she had. Took my French Bulldog to get groomed at this location. He was to get a full bath, nail trim, ear cleaning done. We already knows he's an overly excited dog, upon dropping him off the groomer let my girlfriend know that he's very hyperactive. We agreed but also let them know he's used to baths and such and will be fine. Once we picked him up and arrived home, we realized that both his eyes were bloodshot. We quickly took him to the vet and he lets us know it was caused due to trauma. Could've been that he was hit by the groomer or choked out by him while getting the services done. Never again taking him there and no one should trust this location. Very happy with this place!! Not only is it a 5 minute drive from my house, the gentleman that cut Luna's hair did a great job! I didn't catch his name unfortunately but I am very pleased with my Luna's hair cut. Surprisingly her paw hairs were trimmed as well, when I would take her to Petsmart the ladies would never cut her paws because they said Luna wouldn't let them, but this gentleman had no problem doing so! When she came out from the back she was super excited to see us and she seemed more comfortable from before when coming into the groomers. They also gave her a cute little bandana! I brought my cat here because they label themselves as a place fo exotic pets, very unprofessional and customer service is terrible. My Persian cat looked the same, only difference was she smelled nice. When I was holding her in the lobby I realized she had fleas and I let them know, all the workers came out and they guy who took her from me said she had fleas when we came in. She did not! Also when I called to see if she was ready or not because it was taking too long, I hear somebody said 'why is she calling' honestly this is a terrible place and now that I'm reading reviews I feel guilty for not reading them beforehand. I was recommended to El Perro Andaluz by a friend of mine. I wanted a vet in Tijuana that spoke English and cared about my dogs (Maltese & Yorkie) and did not make me do anything unnecessary. So I took the trolley and it was like a 10 mins drive from when I crossed the border. I was greeted by the owner, Palomar who spoke English and I told her I wanted my dogs teeth to be cleaned. She mentioned that her husband who is the vet, Dr. Sergio Romero will exam the dogs and blood tests would be done prior to their cleaning. He took 1.5 hrs with both my dogs examining them and asking me questions about them. I did not feel rushed and he took his time with them and drew blood from them to be tested. He wanted to make sure one of my dogs who was a bit overweight did not have any health concerns like diabetes prior to their cleanings. He charged $10 Office Visit & $35 for the blood work per dog. Dr. Romero, is young, very gentle, very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and really showed concern and care towards my dogs. I also, took the opportunity since I was there to have them groomed by his staff. It was $16 per dog for the full grooming service. The next day all their blood work came back normal and I got copies via email of the various tests run and the results for both dogs. I took them back to Tijuana to have their teeth clean under general anesthesia with their favorite blanket so when they wake up they would have a familiar smell from their blanket. They took them at noon and I returned at 5:45pm to collect them. Their teeth was yellow and had tartar on their molars and now they looked pearly white, cleaned and polished. They had no cavities that needed any fillings. The cleanings cost $83 per dog. I will be highly recommending Dr. Sergio Romero to my friends and co-workers for all their vet and grooming needs. My furbaby is very timid and other groomers in San Diego told me to take her to a place where they could muzzle or sedate her. My partner called El Perro Andaluz and they said they have experience with all kinds of dog personalities, so we made an appointment for my dog Koco based on this and previous reviews. The storefront is very inviting and everyone working there was so nice! They communicated with me throughout the process, and I was pleased with Koco's haircut and grooming without the use of sedation or muzzling. My Spanish is at intermediate level, so I didn't have any issues, but they speak English as well. I will definitely be back for grooming and vet services. They also offer doggy day care and boarding, which I have not tried, but they gave me a tour of the large play area, and all the dogs looked very happy. Highly recommend El Perro Andaluz. read more

Definitely recommend this vet I've been to other ones in Tijuana and this one is the best by far especially since they're very helpful and nice. I was greeted and helped my Fernanda and Abisay to get my weimaraner checked out and Pedro was able to help me find out what was wrong attending me quick and prescribing good medication compared to the other vets I have been with in which sometimes seem to not pay real interest to what is wrong with the dog and just prescribe random medications. Apart from the staff being friendly and helpful it's pretty easy to find parking since they have spaces right upfront and it's a very clean establishment. read more

I've been coming here for a year now because it's close to my place in TJ. I've had a few good experiences but mostly disappointed. In so many instances the receptionist (red and black hair) was rude and upfront nasty. I kept letting it go because I honestly don't have time to stop and stew over spilled milk. I though she just didn't like me. However I had my boyfriend pick up my doggie a couple times and they were also awful to him. Every time I go there they act as if they don't know me, and make me feel like they're doing me a favor. Mind you they keep increasing their prices. I it's now that I've come to my last straw. I referred my aunt to take her puppy to their vet for an emergency surgery and health certification to travel. They treated her so awful that I was appalled to even have ever put her through that. They tried to rip her off and my self. We took 3 doggies for service and found anyway possible to make $ off us. They even called us liars because the puppy threw up in surgery, and tried to charge us more $$$$ for that. When we 10000 % didn't feed the puppy. We love our doggies why would we do that??? It's embarrassing to even be in this situation. Please avoid this place, if you love your animal. There's so many other better locations. They do not deserve our business. read more
