After reading the negative reviews all I can say is it sounds like the individuals that left them are poor at time and money management. I guess you can't please all the people all of the time. The girls that work the drive up window and the front counter are some of the best customer service representatives I have ever had the opportunity to come into contact with. Once again, you can't please everyone no matter how hard you try. Pennyrile Electric is hands down the best there is. If you don't like them go somewhere else and see how that works out for you. Of course this new generation will never be satisfied no matter how hard you try. It's the me, me, me generation and they will only get worse.

I've requested to have someone come out to mark my gas lines and they came out the very next day. The overall service has been nice. We spend a lot less utilizing gas rather than electric. She went over my account and stated I have a balance and needed to pay it, very rudely like a creditor. I told her I needed the tank removed and a refund for the propane that's still in the tank. I'm giving four stars for past service, the techs that installed the tank were really friendly and knowledgable. Never had an issue with them until I needed to terminate service.

After making a 7 hour trip down to my property for a weekend trip I open up the house and use the bathroom only to find out my water had been turned OFF!!! What the heck!! ...the brain-trust in the office had apparently decided to send someone out and turn OFF my water even though I had a large CREDIT balance. No water for the weekend. I call when I get home and Office Staff Maranda tells me "Oh yeah we had some billing errors" and "you should see that we'll credit you the $50 turn on fee" then gets extremely belligerent when I ask: "Is this normal operating procedure for you to just turn off peoples water without looking at the billing history? I have a credit balance." She calls me rude for asking the question and then hangs up on me! WOW! ...Okay, so now we have Office Staff that is not only incompetent, but aggressively confrontational to the customers that they abuse (serve??)!!! I'm looking at this coming months bill and last months bills and they are still screwed up. Really makes me want to call the office and get this straightened out...NOT! So sad, that they have this type of person in a position with so much control over another. It is obvious that she has worked there WAY too long and needs to be replaced. Dru was able to get out here on Saturday, and by Saturday night we had hot water. He is very polite, knows exactly what he is doing, and does a very neat job. There was nothing to clean up after he left. He took our old hot water tank so we did not have to dispose of it. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Rosemary W.
