We bought a couple of brand new Through the wall AC and Wall Sleeve. One of them was to replace a unit almost 10 years old from another brand that cooled the room perfectly well with half the BTU. The Units we bought from LG was double the BTU so logically they should cool the room even better. First unit failed within months when Summer hit. It would only blow cool air intermittently and never cool the room during the day. It took us months to try to get to a resolution, they sent service people one from their authorized service center DG Appliance who were so rude. Finally after some mix ups on their part they were able to send another one months later and they finally replaced the unit. We received sometime in spring of this year 2025 and now it is August, and we only started using the unit in late June and it has failed again. No longer blowing cold air at all. I wrote to their President and their "Presidential Liaison Team" contacted me. I told them they can send a repair tech but no one from DG Appliance and who did they try to send first. DG! Now they're sending an official LG Tech. But they are also telling us that we have to pull the AC out of the wall or they won't work on it. Sure, let me carry a 70lbs ac out the middle of a wall. They're also saying that because we are now out of warranty, if their service people can't fix it. OH WELL TOO BAD FOR YOU. We won't be able to replace the unit. Horrible, products, with horrible service. Basically they run out your warranty so they don't actually have to do anything in the end. All I want now after a second summer of dealing with their horrible products is a refund so I can buy a completely different Brand. I will never buy LG again. And I will make sure everyone I know, knows how terrible they are and never buy LG brands either. read more

Customer Service Does not exist. Worst appliances on the market today. I have been trying to return an item for the last three months. I've been sent from department to department department and no one seems to be able to assist me. They made me pay for a product that I did not want not return my money inspired my efforts to return the product. read more

Their appliances are great, but their customer service is absolutely horrendous. As others have mentioned, it is all managed out of Asia, and the people you speak with are are reading from scripts. They cannot actually solve any problems. The freight service they use, which is a subsidiary of LG, is terrible with hour+ hold times to schedule your delivery (or pickup in the case of a return) and if you do finally get someone they say "you will receive a text with a delivery window" which never comes. My returned microwave case was escalated to their "Presidential Liason" team which was absolutely terrible. The person who was assigned to my case, Penelope, was "on vacation" most of the time during my case and LG has no process for someone else to cover for an employee who is out. She kept making promises that were never true and I finally had to contest the charge on my credit card. I will never ever buy from LG direct again. While Home Depot can also be a nightmare, at least when you buy the products from them, they are able to escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner. I am still waiting for my return to be "processed" more than a month after they picked up my defective microwave. It may seem like a good value to order directly from them, and they do have a great selection since they are the manufacturer, but trust me, they are worst than Comcast to deal with and you will spend hours of your life trying to handle what retailers like Amazon and Home Depot can do in about 1 minute. Run, don't walk away from buying directly from LG. read more

Purchase an LG electric range less than a year ago. The oven has a warning label not to use foil on the bottom and also sent consumers a recall about the loc button so the stove will not turn on accidentally. Thought LG had their consumers interest best at heart. Well, I found that this is not the case. As I went to use a cleaning agent in the oven (that has only been used a hand full of times), the oven became discolored! Only in the manual, in small print, does it state not to use cleaning agents on this oven. This new oven is ruined and LG has yet to respond to this matter- three weeks have past! A warning sticker in the oven or in any other form would have been the right thing to keep consumers informed about the enamel oven. There are many other unfortunate and very similar reports posted online regarding LG and the discoloration of the oven after cleaning- why hasn't this company taken the time to fix this problem and warn their consumers!! I know I will spread the word and warn anyone who is in the market for a new range! read more

I placed an order online over a week ago on the lg website for purchase of a washtower including delivery installation and removal of old applicants it took over a week to get info the get a certificate of insurance now i was told by the trucker that they only have an order to deliver, not install not remove, it is impossible to reach an lg contact in the United States despite their having an office in New Jersey. all calls to their number end up in the Philippines. so LG has my money and cant get me what i ordered help please read more

I bought an LG Gram laptop computer. It was wonderful. It weighed 2.2 lbs.! It had the latest Intel chip in it. I loved it. And then unexpectedly, of all things to go wrong, the hinge. THE HINGE! Failed. It broke. I paid 1800 bucks for this machine. And the damned hinge broke. OK. So, LG wanted 500 bucks to fix the damned hinge. And I paid it! $ 500 bucks, a year after I bought it. And they fixed it! OK. I'm alright...right? But then after six months, the hinge failed. Now I am in for this for $ 2300 bucks. And they took it back and fixed my hinge. Am I alright. YES. This hinge lasted less than 1 year, so I, of course, contacted LG to fix their ill-conceived, ill-designed hinge again. Their answer was NO! The product was now over three years old. But their repair was less than one year old. They told me NO! And now I can tell you, DO NOT BUY AN LG LAPTOP! THEY HAVE A DESIGN FLAW WITH THE HINGE. AND THEY WILL NOT STAND BY IT! The worst company to purchase anything from, I had a Freon leak for over a month that made me sick. I submitted three doctors notes to them. I reached out to them and the presidential liaison contacted me and I never heard from her again and they left me like a dog with a 1 yr old fridge leaking toxic gas , I would not purchase anything from them read more

BEWARE ALL LG APPLIANCES! If only I could leave zero stars. Between February and today, we had no less than seven visits from LG technicians on a new dishwasher. The thing leaked from moment one, but LG just didn't care enough to make it work or make it right without severe frustration and jumping through unbelievable hoops. The first visit all the guy did was re-level the dishwasher (it was late and I think he just wanted to go home). Unsurprisingly it still leaked. The second through seventh visits were a different tech. To be fair, he did a good job and was embarrassed for the company and frustrated for our situation - HE was great and not part of the problem. Second visit the tech repaired the seal, but no luck it still leaked. He ordered parts for a known manufacturers issue about why the seals go bad and why the dishwasher was leaking. Third through seventh visit - the parts arrive broken in the box. Not a shipping issue, the boxes were all undamaged and perfectly intact, but the parts were put into the box broken at the LG warehouse. No packing material. Heavy stuff stacked on fragile stuff. Bent metal corners. You name it....but the parts never arrived in workable condition. Had to fight with LG to get a refund approved. Was directly lied to on 4/5 - stating they had an RA authorized at the dealer to get a new one, they didn't. On 4/6 spent three hours on the phone, finally getting everything done after a lot of stress and unbelievable behavior from the LG people. Never again will I purchase LG. I'll stick with something made in the USA. read more

Do I have to give a star? I would rather give negative stars. I have had an ongoing issue with LG since February. I have filed a complaint the BBB and other consumer agencies. There has been no resolution. The racks in my new oven do not slide in or out properly if any significant weight is put on them. So, I have to reach into a 550 degree oven to place my dutch oven inside and then reach into that hot oven to take out the dutch oven. I have NEVER had an oven where the racks would not slide in and out. This is a fault in the design and it is hazardous as I could burn myself. The company is aware of this issue and has now started ignoring my requests for a resolution. They won't even send a service technician out so that they have proof (although I did send in photos and videos to "Carlise") Bottom line, this company has designed a faulty oven and they just don't care to correct it. They have done NOTHING to resolve this issue and I believe they think that is they ignore me long enough, I will go away. They are wrong. read more

I'd give no stars if that was an option. I recently bought a LG gas dryer, which opens in the front, requiring you to bend far over to get everything out. There is a pedestal to raise the dryer to compensate for this, but it wasn't available when I bought the dryer. LG promised they'd be available "soon." Some six months later they were and I bought one. It was delivered 7/3, but the delivery crew said they had no instructions to install it. I could reschedule them to come back out but that would cost more than the pedestal did. I called LG and got disconnected while someone was trying to "help." Called back and after being on hold for over 11 minutes, was advised by a very snarky representative that if I'd read everything online when I ordered the pedestal, I would have seen there's no installation. Now I have a pedestal sitting on my back deck and have to pay more than it cost to get it under my dryer. Never, ever buying anything from LG again. You have been warned. read more
