I have gone to LG Nails for 2 years. I love my manicurist. She is so good. This morning wasn't pleasant. Since they don't do appointments, first come first served. I go early so I don't have to wait 2 hours to get in. Kim the owner started yelling at me while I waited outside, told me to sit in my car. I didn't. Kim started yelling at me when she opened the door. She didn't yell at the lady behind me. She seated the 3rd person through the door first, then Kim seated the 2nd lady that came in. Finally Kim seated me. Kim came over to me and yelled at me again. When my nails were done I went to Kim and told her I would Never come back again. Kim had the Nerve to Thank Me!!! Obviously Kim doesn't need money to treat people like that. I would Never recommend LG Nails to anyone again. Not unless they like being yelled at and treated badly. read more

The male nail tech was terrible. I think his name was Mike. He tried to set the book of colors down in the chair next to me on top of my purse, coat and phone, so I could pick a color since he rushed me into the bowl of acetone already. Major problem, as it fell knocked my phone to the floor, he went between me and the next chair to pick it up. In that instance he hit my elbow which caused my hands to jerk and splashed a small amount of the acetone into my eye. The owner did not see what happened, and when I explained, she took his side. My eye was ok as it was just a little bit but still. Going on to my mani, I asked for Gel instead of dip since the color I wanted wasn't available in dip. He did a horrible job shaping my nails etc. I went up to my and let Kim the owner see how bad they were. She got mad, and said: you no pay, and I ask you not come back. Mind you I have been coming here for over 10 years and have NEVER complained or had any type of issue, but customer loyalty and satisfaction do not matter to Kim. So I will not be back, and Kim was totally wrong for her way of dealing with my situation. She talked about me in their language with the other techs as they do. And I have seen and heard the same thing happen to other people going there. She just does not try to resolve the problem or issue, just kicks you out. What a shame, and shame on her!!!! This place was a 5 minute walk from the hotel I was staying at two weeks ago. I needed a no chip manicure and regular pedicure. This establishment did not disappoint. I was greeted immediately and waited maybe 10 minutes. I was pressed for time but did not share this with Fei (sp?) She did a fantastic job. I liked the vibe in that salon you can tell the techs there take pride in their work. I don't live in that area but do visit occasionally so I will make it a point to get my nails there when I visit family. My no chip is holding up beautifully!! I am torn with this review. My nails look wonderful so I gave 3 stars for that, but I was really disappointed in the service. I had a young guy doing my nails and the whole entire time he was either messing with his computer that he had sitting next to him or texting. I was shocked that not once but 3 times within 10 minutes he stopped doing my nails to text someone. I thought it was really inappropriate and thought about complaining but didn't feel like dealing with it, so instead I just deducted it from his tip. I've been here about 3 times now but yesterday might have been my last time going. My pedicures and normal color changes have been excellent but it's been a different story for my manicures. I've had the powder dip, gel and acrylic just to see how each one would turn out. Out of the 3 I liked the gel the most. The powder dip was ok but I didn't like that the nail tech kept complaining about my nails being so short. It's never been an issue before anywhere else. The acrylics really disappointed me. I was appreciative of one of the techs mixing colors so that my pedi could match my mani. That was awesome. But at the end I noticed the nail tips they attached to my nails before applying the acrylic were lifting off of my actual nail. I showed the tech and he just brushed me off. I assumed there was a communication barrier so I showed another tech. She too dismissed my claim. I'm going on vacation in just a few days to Florida of all places where I'm worried sand from the beach will slide under the tips. I'm praying nothing slips in the gap and rips my damn nail off at the amusement park I'm visiting as well. I'm not crazy but I know there shouldn't be a gap where things can slide between my nail and the applied tips. Wish they would have taken better care of making sure the glue was adhered properly. In 20+ years of going to nail salons, this was the absolute WORST EXPERIENCE. From the moment I walked in, the reception was extremely rude. It just continued. She filed my skin and it hurt. She wouldn't further work on my calluses even though I kindly asked and wanted to pay more for the service, she wasn't paying attention and just laughing and talking to others in another language. She completely cut my toe nails in a shape I disdain. When she passed me over to a young man for my gel manicure, he did the same. I made a phone call and he had the audacity to tell me I didn't hear him. I asked him to make all my nails even length. Much more happened. Hmmm not impressed. Walked in with my mom on Friday afternoon - thankful they were able to get us in for two pedicures. We were seated next to each other at the same time. My mom had a young lady work on her toenails, while I had a young man. The whole experience followed your basic pedicure protocol - soak, trim, file, scrub, massage, paint - but was extremely fast and inconsistent. The water was scalding hot but quickly adjusted, whatever - it happens. My technician massaged my left foot/leg for about 5 minutes and my right foot/leg for about 1. He scrubbed my feet for about 15 seconds each, I will have to go home and give them a proper pumice myself, which is very difficult considering I am 39 weeks pregnant. The paint job was great, he was skillful and fast and it looks good. I was seated at the drying station and waited for ten minutes while my mother finished her pedicure, even though we were seated at the same exact time. she received a thorough massage and foot scrub, and her toes look great and her feet feel great. It's a shame that the service of one employee will reflect on the entire salon as I am sure there are much better technicians who work there that put a little more care and finesse into their work. read more

HORRIBLE-- I'm very patient. I walked in and said Good Morning (nobody responded). I sighed in and sat down to wait to be greeted... 15-20 minutes went by and no one even acknowledged I was waiting. About 25 minutes into me waiting, two other people walked in, signed in, and sat and waiting and finally someone came over to ask what were were getting. Needless to say, the other 2 ladies were seated and being serviced meanwhile I was still waiting with no idea of how long the wait was. When I finally asked, she told me 35 minutes ON TOP of the 30 minutes I'd already been waiting even though I've been sitting there longer... I've seen their work and it's not great but I only have them a chance today because I did not feel like catching an Uber 20 minutes away to the place I usually go to--Happy Nails. Usually this place is great. Nice people, great massage and my nails always look good and last awhile. But this time, I'm not so happy. There were two tv's going on different channels in addition to the piped in music, and my nail tech was on her phone (earphone) chatting most if the time. Not as relaxing as I was hoping. I asked for the deluxe pedi because I really enjoy the massage, but when it came time for that she added the lotion and got up to help other customers that had walked in. Before writing a bad review, I thought I would just pop in and give them a chance to trim the hangnails and put some soothing repair oils down. To my shock, they were instantly defensive and angry, and completely refused to acknowledge any part in this situation, asking if the hangnails and infected cuticles were that way when I left the salon?!?? Ummm - no, not yet? I politely tried to explain that the ONLY thing that had changed in my routine was getting a manicure there, but they were extremely uninterested in hearing anything I had to say. Insisting that the damage to my hands was completely unrelated to my manicure. It doesn't take much to say "wow that looks painful, let me see if we can help you..."
