She showed up 2 HOURS LATE on the DAY OF THE WEDDING. She didn't answer an email the day before sent to all MUAs containing the schedule and details (we had 5 MUAs, we had a huge bridal party). She didn't answer my phone calls the morning of until the time she was supposed to be there. Then she texted me to ask me WHERE she was supposed to be. Her lateness cost us THOUSANDS of dollars because it threw the entire days schedule off. Our photographer & videographer sat idle for 2 hours & I'm not in the family portraits because I gave my slot with a different MUA to one of her clients. On top of that, I accidentally over paid her (I had made the cash envelopes for vendors weeks in advanced). When I asked for that money back, she GHOSTED ME. In effect she STOLE from me. This woman has NO INTEGRITY. Her only explanation for her lateness was that her alarm didn't go off and she didn't remember that she has contracted for a wedding that morning because it's typically her day off. This was after she charged a fee for working on her day off.

When I mentioned it, he asked to see it; Second red flag since he didn't ask anything about pay at all before I mentioned that I hadn't had my nails done in a while and received it as a gift from a coworker). I showed him a gift certificate for $50. After that, he started rushing through the service. It looked fine at first when he finished. It was extremely fast (third red flag, but again, I hadn't been in a while and it genuinely looked fine from first looks), but on my drive out, I noticed that the top coat was bubbly, the gel was on my skin and chipping, the gel color was streaky and transparent. I got tip color snd could see the whites of my natural nail as if the polish had grown out, and my nail (my real nails) were filed into careless, wonky shapes. Before leaving, I actually scheduled to return to get a pedicure later that day, but I refuse to go back and spend my money there after really looking at the quality of the manicure. Long story short: I wouldn't buy a gift certificate there. They just want easy money and don't care about prospective customers. It seems you only get quality when you're a long term customer.
