Got a pedicure yesterday after way too many weeks! The man was very patient and detailed. Looks great. Setting up an appointment online was easy, received a confirmation shortly afterwards. I found them not far from where I work and it was a bonus that they were open later. I think the website said 8:00 p.m., they were actually open till 7:30 p.m., but that still worked better for me then most places. I will return! read more

Left during the pedicure because they didn't use new tools they pretended they were new but the bag wasn't sealed, the tools looked unsanitary, and they were unpleasant when I brought it to their attention, the man doing my pedicure, started raising his voice at me and getting flustered. Then he looked at me and said, You want me to use a new set of tools( nail clippers etc.) every time. I said yeah that what the health department wants too.The woman that was also there then started shouting across the room that they are new but in the same breath told me that I would have to pay for new tools. They wanted to charge me $5 for a new set of sanitized tools which should be part of the service. While they were giggling about my ugly feet they should've been getting clean tools. My question is if they were not using new tools, why bother to put them in the bag to make them look as though they were using new tools? People work hard for their money and expect you to do the same. Do not cheap out on people's health. And do not insult their intelligence. This is bad business and I will never set foot in there again. I feel dishearten to make this review, but something needs to be said about this business. I am not saying not to do business with them. Walked into the nail salon without being greeted and asked what I wanted. Took them 20 minutes to even approach me before I can finally tell them I needed a fill and gel polish on my toes. Proceeded to tell me to sit down while I waited an additional 40 minutes. They ended up sitting someone else before me even though I was there first. So Sis Nails is now dead to me. I can't believe the crappy manicure I just got out of there. He cut my nails into a square shape. I don't like Square I like my nails rounded at the tip. But he never asked. So when I noticed that he was cutting my nails in a square shape I stopped him and told him that I don't like my nails squared off. I like them rounded. So then he takes the emery board and tries to round out my nails after he's already cut off most of my length for the square shape. So needless to say my nails just got grounded down to these little tiny tips--so much shorter than what they needed to be simply because he never asked me what I wanted. Also I told this guy I wanted a French pedicure. A French pedicure. I was so clear! So how do you pick up a natural color pink and do my base coat but then put on a clear coat and act like we're done? And then I said to him, "So when are you going to put a white tip on?" He replies, "No, I tell you this color. I tell you this color." What?! I was so clear about what I wanted. I just decided enough was enough and left. I know this would totally qualify as a 1st world problem, but I don't throw money down the drain. $32 for a bad job is a waste of money. I went to SIS Nails & Spa for the first time today, and was really pleased. I had found a couple good reviews on Yahoo Local, and decided to try this place out because it's minutes from my apartment. I arrived around 4:45pm to find the salon empty, though very clean, very organized, and well-furnished for a little strip-mall salon. The two girls there jumped up when they saw me walk in and immediately asked what they could do for me. I told them that I wanted a mani/pedi and Vivienne (she very cordially introduced herself) asked me, "Would you like them both at the same time?" I said, "Sure!" So Vivienne and Kim quickly set me up in the large, comfortable pedicure chair. I was impressed with this chair because it wasn't like the ones that just beat on your back and make your body do weird things. I actually felt like the massaging chair was effective and soothing, not an annoyance that I wanted to turn off after 3 minutes. So I got exclusively pampered for the next 15 minutes by these two very nice, easy-to-talk-to young ladies. A few more ladies walked in and Vivienne and Kim finished me up. I sat in the comfy chair for another 20 minutes, letting my fresh nails dry and watching the conveniently-placed flat screen TV. No one rushed me out or anything, they just let me relax. It was great. My nails look beautiful, my feet feel very soft, and I'm quite relaxed. All for the bargain price of $35 (before tip), which I considered to be quite reasonable. I have no idea why Sis Nails takes appointments online. It never means a thing. You still arrive only to have to wait because they don't wait for YOU. They just keep taking in anyone that walks in the door and you are stuck, on a celebrating occasion like the one I had for my granddaughters birthday and sitting there because they had allowed 4 people to get started that did not have an appointment. The owner remembers me by name and they are always nice and professional. I get the perfect French pedicure every time for a reasonable price. I think it's slightly cheaper than others, about $26 I believe the last time. If you are looking for a great place, give them a try. read more

I went in on a Saturday. I had an appointment for 9:30. That was when I was told they opened. Two people were already getting pedicures. I got the Mani pedi for $32 and added wax $5. The pedicure was quite rushed. With having to wait till 9:50 to even sit in water, I was rushed getting ready for a wedding. Then I was charged $44 dollars? 32 plus $5 is $37????????? Nice enough staff, but it wasn't remotely relaxing. It's a cattle call salon where they focus on turnaround rather than quality. I got a mani and pedi here a couple of times, and every time I did I had to strain and reach all the way over to my right for the entire pedicure, because they do manicures while you're in the pedi chair. If I was in a hurry and conveyed that, it would be fine. However I work on my feet and I like to be able to relax and enjoy my pedicures, I do not like being rushed. I generally tip 50% for my pedis, so I am more than willing to overcompensate for a good massage &/or relaxing pedicure, but you won't find that here. Good for a quickie though. read more

That may not sound like much, but there are at least half a dozen other salons within 3 miles. I've talked several other guys (mostly family members) into joining me for "plantar therapy." Made an appointment was had to wait 30 minutes for walk in. Nail tech did ok job but didn't give me a top coat. Blamed a nail mistake on me-even though I hasn't moved my hand from where she had placed it. The issue was she used super old nail polish which i watched her dilute. Was not very satisfied with the outcome though the price is good. It would be worth it to spend more because for this price you get old nail polish and incomplete job done. read more
