I took advantage of their semi-seasoned wood. Delivery was quick and professional (btw - tip the driver. They don't mention it, but they depend on that to cover their costs). We ordered two cords. We got roughly 2.25, if not more. Some was clearly semi-seasoned, but some was VERY seasoned. Lots of kindling, on top of the extra wood. Our previous guy had fantastic wood, but would consistently short us. We didn't see any offer to stack, so I can't comment on that. Do not order mulch from LI Firewood & Mulch. After one rain my black mulch was brown. I have never had mulch that the color washed away after one rain. I paid to have their people spread my mulch which was spread so thin it barely covered the dirt. I don't believe they used the 5 yards I paid for. BUYERS BEWARE as this is a text that I had sent to the owner after poor delivery service and less product than ordered. Your entire job is based upon orders and delivery times. I can understand giving a one or two day window. However, when I ordered on a Friday and I'm told it will be a Wednesday or Thursday delivery, I expect some kind of update if there's no delivery on Thursday. There was no update about my delivery which then made me call on that Friday to inquire about my delivery status. I was told that my order would be delivered the following Sunday. Sunday came and went and I get a text at 9 PM with the ridiculous question, have you received your delivery? At this point it has been nine days since I have ordered and paid for the wood and still no delivery. My wife and I could not believe that we were being asked the question if the wood was delivered or not. I entertained and answered the question stating no I did not receive my delivery and when should I expect it. I'm then told it will be sent on Monday by end of day. Fine, I ordered 100 bags two full cords of wood. I tell you what, 100 bags is not two cords of wood. A cord of wood is 8 feet long by 4 feet high by 4 feet wide. Those bags do not equal to two full cords of wood. So I received less product than I paid for. I paid for 2 full cords and received 1 1/2 face cords. So by digging your feet in making a statement that there are too many variables that you cannot give a specific day is ridiculous. That is the foundation of your job. It is not difficult to count how many bags of wood are on that truck for the day for all the orders. The day before you text each individual that they will receive their order the following morning. If orders aren't completed then that customer is again texted the next evening stating that the delivery will be by end of day next business day. The problem is you don't care about your customers waiting for a week or week and a half for wood that they're waiting for so long as you received your payment. That is a poor business practice. The issue you are having is simple logistics. If you cared enough, you would fix it. However, by you stating that there are too many variables tells me that you have no interest in fixing it at all with no accountability. You certainly charged my credit card immediately and got your money and then delivered a product that's not equal to the amount that I ordered. To say that I'm displeased as an understatement. BUYERS BEWARE, if you choose to do business with this company you too will experience this as well. Less product and poor delivery service. I'm a retired aircraft controller, and what you're stating to me is beyond my comprehension on how a business can be run in this manner and stay successful. Too bad there is no zero stars as one is too many for this company. My husband and I ordered 2 cords of kiln dried wood from LI Firewood and Mulch only because the company we used a month earlier, J & J Wood, suspended large orders for the season. We bought 20 bags at 2.0 cubic feet per bag. Unlike LI firewoods bags which are .75 cubic feet per bag. And their wood was phenomenal. Their wood was kiln dried, not dirty and burned very well unlike LI Firewood. What a difference in quality of products and customer service. They delivered on the day and time they promised without a hitch. After ordering from LI Firewood, now the wood we got after 12 days of waiting with no communications on when our order was to be delivered, is NOT what was advertised. We have been ordering wood for 22 years and know the difference. LI Firewood has the nerve to tell us that we were "harassing" them about when we were to expect our delivery. Meanwhile they charged our credit card and then forgot that we were waiting for our product. 12 days later after we kept asking when it would be delivered, it finally comes but with HALF the amount we purchased. AND it was a poor product to add insult to injury. They took zero accountability blaming even the wind for their screw up. I have my own business and know that this is not how you treat customers, especially new because they have now lost us a customers and everyone reading this review. So for every one transparent and honest review like this one, they lose 10+ potential new clients. I would NOT recommend this company to even my worst enemy. Terrible all around. We will order from J & J Wood earlier next year to make sure we get enough wood for the entire winter season. read more

Foaming and sizzling "seasoned" firewood. Disappointed by this cord. Will need to season it properly myself. Previously purchased compost and mulch, and I those were good products. So call this 2.5 stars but I'm sitting in front of a sizzling fireplace right now so I am rounding down. I called and they said it's because it rained last week. Yes, it did. But it's quite easy to tell the difference between wood that needs to dry from the rain and wood that is still wet from not being seasoned. I ordered a cord of seasoned firewood and got crappy muddy wet wood. I was told it rained for 5 days so I will appear wet but it was seasoned for 2 years. That is a load of BS. Maybe one piece in a dozen was at 20% on a moisture meter but almost everything else was 28 to 35% wet. One cord with delivery was $275. This was NOT the pre-seasoned special but I specified SEASONED FIREWOOD. A good 40% of the delivery was kindling scraps- there was even a piece of engineered plywood in the pile. STAY AWAY from them. Bunch of lying clowns. They gave me their word that their wood was seasoned. I ordered two cords. Even tipped the driver because he complained to me how bad the traffic was. Maybe 1 out of every 40-50 pieces is remotely close to dry. After several calls to arrange a firewood delivery, the people at this place promised it was seasoned firewood. I asked repeatedly for them to give me their word. It was clearly not seasoned. I called them after a week and they said "oh it rained you have to let it dry back out". After receiving the wood I stored it in a dry spot w airflow, covered from the elements. Here we are 4 months later with disgusting wood ruining my fireplace. Don't trust this place at least w their firewood. I wanted to support a small business but they are just dishonest. Go to google reviews and read the rest of the angry customers. We ordered here for the first time a few weeks ago. What a disappointment. The wood arrived wet. They told us to spread it out on our lawn to dry out. An odd thing to say after spending all that money. We were shorted wood. Some of the pieces were cut so so big. It's almost impossible to use some of the pieces in our fireplace . Owner took 0 responsibility and claimed his driver wouldn't have done that and then proceeded to ask if my neighbor was a crackhead - the one who watched the driver crash into it. Professional? Ordered 4 seasoned cords early August. Requested delivery 2 days later. Came on time with a giant dump truck. Driver was polite and dropped wood exactly where I requested. Good quality wood not mixed with any debris. Lengths were perfect. Unfortunately, there were many logs which should have been split a second time. Called them back. Was given owners cell number and spoke with him later that day. Wish I could recall his name He could not have been nicer. Asked what I wanted to do. We agreed on a price reduction. Three days later I received his check. Started burning a couple weeks ago. Easy to start with a clean burn. Would definitely use them again. read more
