I had a very disappointing experience at LI Urgent Care in West Babylon. My appointment was scheduled for 9:08 AM, yet not a single staff member--front desk or medical--arrived until after 9:10 AM. If your hours begin at 9:00 AM, patients should not be left waiting while the entire staff arrives late. It immediately set the tone for a lack of professionalism and respect for patients' time. Unfortunately, the issues only escalated from there. I took the time to clearly explain my allergies to the provider, yet a prescription was still called in for a medication I am allergic to. This is not a minor oversight--it is a serious patient safety concern. As someone already not feeling well, having to go back and forth between the pharmacy and the office to correct this was both frustrating and unacceptable. The replacement medication that was prescribed caused significant side effects, to the point where I did not feel comfortable continuing it. When I called back within 24 hours to request a change to a medication I have previously taken without issue (and confirmed to be dye-free due to a severe allergy), my concerns were dismissed. Instead of listening, I was given an inaccurate explanation that my reaction was due to combining it with a steroid--despite the fact that I had already consulted with the pharmacist and did not take the steroid at all. At no point did anyone take the time to have a proper conversation or fully understand the situation. To make matters worse, when I inquired about dye content the following day, they were somehow able to check and verify the medication. That level of attention should have been provided from the start, especially given that my allergy was clearly communicated. Consistency in patient care should not depend on who happens to be handling the case. After verifying with the pharmacy which medication would be safe, I called the urgent care again and requested that specific prescription. Once again, after unnecessary back-and-forth, they agreed--but then proceeded to call in a completely different medication without any communication or explanation. The lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and disregard for patient input made this an incredibly frustrating experience. What should have been a straightforward visit turned into a stressful and drawn-out ordeal while I was already unwell. I will not be returning. This experience was a complete nightmare and only made an already difficult situation worse. read more

Went there once for my son dropping a weight on his foot in gym class. Was told the toe wasn't broken, sent us home with no pain killer. Got called after xrays when we were home to be told it was in fact broke and to follow up with a Podiatrist. Now we take my son to have shards of metal removed from his hand and the same girl (nurse. PA???) tried taking one out and said she couldn't do it and told us to go to a hand specialist. A friend who is a Doctor told us we should have never been sent away and it takes patience but could be done with surgical tweezers. Pay Co payments and get nothing in return!! We signed up online for an appointment at a latter time slots that was available. They then called us back regarding our appointment request asking us to come in earlier so that they could do a complete check up on our reason for coming in. So we did, and they had us in and out with x-rays and all as well as Sent over medication. All staff were friendly and patient with all that were involved in the situation. Thank you read more

Came in in January 2022 after a covid exposure at work as an RN. I was sent a bill for the covid swab stating I have no insurance which is false. Since receiving the first bill in April I have called 10 times trying to get in touch with billing, sent 7 emails, 2 messages through the patient portal and cannot get the "remote" billing department on the phone to rectify the situation. This is unacceptable. Will be reporting to BBB. read more

Having quick and easily accessible testing is the only way to ensure that New York continues to lead the nation during this pandemic. I try to get tested on a regular basis and usually use the services at AFC Urgent Care of West Islip. I wasn't able to secure an appointment there so instead I made a 3:00pm appointment with LI Urgent Care in West Babylon. The following is my experience there and I share it hoping that their staff adjust their current practices to ensure that future patients are handled better than I was. After making my appointment and receiving a text from LI Urgent Care of West Babylon's representative telling me to arrive 10 mins early for my 3:00pm appointment, I left my house and arrived in the parking lot at 2:40pm. When I arrived I entered a chaotic scene with cars parked all over the place and no clear sign to indicate how testing would proceed. I called the phone number listed, asked if the testing took place indoors, and the representative told me to sit in my car and wait to receive a call letting me know when to drive up to their mobile testing site. At 3:43pm I received a call from a representative asking me for my insurance information, and at 3:48 another call telling me to continue to wait in the scattered parking lot. During my wait I saw two different incidents were patients accused the other of cutting the line and arguing about who was next. When I received the second a call, I asked what the status was of my 3:00 appointment and the representative, in a very aggressive told me,"they are running behind." After this call I checked my name on the digital waiting list and saw that it was removed. At 4:50pm I received my test. I the. asked to speak to a a manger, and was told the manager had other matters to address that took precedent over my desire to share my experiences. The PA providing the test informed me that their site allows multiple people to sign up for the same time slot, and that is causing the delays in service. This may true, but it is the responsibility of the establishment to inform patients to block out a significant amount of time to undergo this process. Information on how the testing would proceed and the average wait time were never communicated to me, and providing this information can help others plan a time to wait for two hours to get a test. This establishment touts itself as NY's only urgent care accredited by NUCCA and UCAOA, two organizations that urgent care establishment's can voluntary apply for and receive accreditation from. Both entities measure the quality of service and care offered by an urgent care before providing accreditation. My expirence has left me very dissatisfied and I will be reaching out to both organizations to share my experience. read more

Won't be walking in here!!!...they have this ridiculous setup there, first they make you go on line and fill out a questionnaire about your symptoms which by the way didn't let me get through than if you get past that they make you wait a long while out in your car and l didn't see them call anyone while l waited for 30 min. no one was outside to ask you if you needed help so l went to city MD in Lindenhurst and they took me right in...l understand the precautionary steps but all they have to do is have someone outside suited up with a clipboard and ask people what symptoms they have and if they have ever been there look up there damn records on the computer?! Was suffering a migraine .... Racing heart .... Dizziness ... nausea.... Vomiting all day ... I Waited until 3pm to go to Urgent Care ... which took a lot to do while suffering so much. I walk in .... Was not acknowledge by any of the 5 people around the desk. I said hello. One did ask what is the problem ... I told them about how I was feeling ... she said we are not taking anymore walk ins ... you should find another urgent care or go to the ER. How they turned me away when I clearly was feeling so horrible is unbelievable. I will not seek any medical care from this facility read more

I want to preface this by saying I had a really wonderful experience at LI Urgent care earlier this week. And that I understand and am extremely sympathetic to the fact that medical staff right now are overworked and understaffed and under a lot of stress with the number of appointments and walk ins they have to accommodate each day. I went to make an appointment for today and there were none available - which I expected. So I called the number, as per the prompt on SOLV. I spoke to an operator who must have put me on the walk in list and said to fill out a DOH form that was texted to me and then respond "Here" when I arrived. I was never told that I had to physically be at the location and believe I even said that I wasn't there yet I was just calling to see if my walk in could be accommodated. I was waiting on receipt of the DOH form when I began to receive calls from the location and I told them I wasn't there and hadn't received the form yet (which they resent) but I would be there in an absolute max of 20 minutes - they resent me the form and I was heading out the door to then receive a call from someone else from the location who was extremely rude to me after I was apologetic again and I tried to explain the miscommunication. I just don't think the exchange was necessary and it seemed like he called just to argue with me. read more

This is by far the best urgent care on Long Island. I've been here a few times and was seen yesterday for Covid testing (after being exposed at work) by Dr. Robert Passamenti - he is fantastic and very knowledgeable (as was the medical tech who was working with him yesterday - she was great too) which eased my mind as I went in there nervously. The techs, the front desk, the DRs, the PA's - everyone there is great, accommodating and answered all of my questions (and I had many yesterday and a few today!). The place is very clean and very well organized. In times of Covid they took every step necessary to keep everyone safe...I'd recommend this urgent care to everyone... read more

I went here yesterday due to a car accident. Place was well run and organized and covid safety measures were in place. The PA Courtney was wonderful and knowledgeable and thorough. I was then even more impressed with their X-ray tech Michael. He was kind, caring and compassionate. I was hurting and he was very calming. He explained everything he was doing and made me feel at ease. I even received a follow call from him in reference to something I had questioned. Will definitely go back in the future. read more

I've gone to this facility a few times over the past few months. There is usually a wait but in my opinion it's well worth it for the care and attention you receive. The doctors are very caring, sharp and attentive to detail. The support staff is just as attentive and pleasant. I recently went there for a bizarre rash on my foot that I thought could be rheumatic in nature due to my circulation issues. The doctor I saw said it looked like a fungal infection but did blood work just to be sure she wasn't missing something. Well she was right in her diagnosis and blood work is normal! Complete waste of time and money I am a severe asthmatic my course of treatment has been the same for 50 years with a respiratory infection of any sort I went there waited 2 hours in the car another 1/2 hour in the room that's fine as long as I get treated the A let's call her "the Doctor " Covid /flu swabs listens to my chest I tell her what the course of action is for me to stay out of hospital with my severe asthma SHE GIVES ME NOTHING sends me home charges my insurance co $800 calling insurance co today to go over bill 2 days later I get results flu not a call no follow up no let us prescribe you an anti viral nothing zip nada some people are in the wrong line of work my regular doctor listens and we decide on the course of action that has kept me out of the hospital for quite some time you have a robot over there who evidently does not compute properly well maybe the med school she went to was waaay better then the one my doctor went to idk stay away from this place waste of time and money I hope their billing is on the up and up going through every line with insurance co this morning just called them back basically begging for anti viral which everyone in my house received they again denied I called my regular doctor who were appalled by the treatment I received (a severe asthmatic mind you) my doctor ordered the prednisone anti viral picking it up shortly no thanks to them stay away !!! read more

I was just refused to be seen for a Covid rapid test after scheduling my appointment a week in advance and waiting in my car for over an hour after my scheduled time because of a draconian policy. Do everything you can to not get tested here. I also got bitched out over the phone. read more

Ugh...This is not where I wanted to be on a sunday morning. It is a very clean and comfortable urgent care facility and the ladies at the front desk are all so very professional. It was a very refreshing experience because the high level of professionalism and great bedside manner of Christine the PA and the nurse (sorry forgot her name) made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend! The only thing is that they didn't check to see that my current address that I put on all my forms didn't match my old addy on my drivers license (which is what they put in the computer), that I've been lazy to change since I moved. read more

Was not told until after arrival (through text) that they didn't accept the insurance even though they knew that hours earlier. Called to try to sort the situation out directly only to have the receptionist have the most unnecessary attitude. If you want to get misdiagnosed and wait for over 3 hours feel free to come here. I was majorly misdiagnosed. When someone walks into your urgent care with potentially something serious, the least you can do is have a doctor look at the patient, not a PA. I'll never come here again and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Christine was very nice and knowledgeable. Said she would follow up in the evening of my 10 am visit. I was there for hours , chest X-rays snd breathing inhalation for asthma. Still no follow up from this morning. Reception was slow as snails to get you logged in to system. Convenient to work. read more
