That said, I had coffee at one place, ate a meat loaf lunch at another, pawed the car windows and did some test sitting at a few dealerships, drove around the University of Toledo campus (which I didn't know is a very good school for STEM disciplines), and put the cherry on top of these few hours by visiting the Toledo Botanical Garden. I walked the garden and took photos. It was warm and humid, so I didn't really relax and sit a spell. Like many public gardens, the Toledo Botanical Garden, out toward the western end of the city, mixes up formal garden spaces with European cues and more organic spaces, meaning they are natural in affect and display very little rigid planning. I was fairly amazed how, as you moved along, these different vistas came into view. Everything was cohesively put together and you could enjoy the different environments they've curated for you. The Toledo Botanical Garden is part of the city metro park system, which I learned from other reviews. Thus, being under this umbrella might mean that the park is free of charge ... and it is! For this aspect and for delivering more than I had expected, having pulled it from a "top things to do" list, I believe the Toledo Botanical Garden handily earns 5 stars.

With high ceilings, you could easily install a full sized basketball court within it's walls. The staff and caterers and DJ worked seamlessly to make the event a memorable one. Food and drink were plentiful, the atmosphere inside the building was very relaxed, and a bonfire was available after dinner. If you are looking for a great venue to hold a celebratory event, The Stables should be on your list of possible sites to check on.

The rooms are typical hotel rooms, clean and comfortable with comfortable beds. The hotel is clean and nice looking, and smelled good. This looks like a great place for a big conference. The pool is fantastic, one of the best hotel pools. It's huge, and warm, in a large bright room with windows looking outside at big pretty trees, and plants inside the pool room. You can ride a horse, a bike or your legs. You can hear symphonic melodies made by 100s of frogs and see tons of wild life, did I mention there are sand dunes? "The Oak Openings Region is a globally rare ecosystem composed of over 130 square miles in Northwest Ohio. The land consists largely of oak savanna and grassland prairie. It is considered by The Nature Conservancy as having a similar ecological importance as the Florida Everglades and is one of the 200 "Last Great Places on Earth"." It is amazing. Check it out!

The back glass wall in the hall over looks a rather large farm pond and lots of greenery which added to the uniqueness. Food provided by Premier Catering and was well received and liked. Friends and family are still talking about how nice and how much fun they had. The hall is centrally located and easy to get to...right off SR 795 & I-75 highways... Across the cornfields and the Bass Pro store in Rossford. A large white building with Blue Metal roof. We had about 135 guests in July and it was a beautiful sunset setting later that evening! Hall rental allows you to purchase and bring in your own beer/wine & liquor which helped the budget, plus hall rental included two bartenders and security.
