I recently returned to Liberty Call and it's still as great as ever. Tuesday night is the best night to go in my opinion because it's Steak night ($25 for a NY strip, side and old fashioned (or wine or beer)). They also have other entrees such as lobster ravioli for $20 which also come with a drink. Service was great! I always recommend Liberty Call to anyone looking for reasonably priced date night spots.

Food and drinks never disappoint. Awesome service and great spot to meet with friends for drinks and a delicious bite. Everyone is pretty chill so you can guarantee yourself a good time in good company.

Wasnt very busy on a weekday. When the food came out I was very impressed. The birra nachos were great and the tortilla soup was even better. Although they didnt have a whiskey flights available I was still happy with everything. The bar tender/ waitress was a great conversationalist and very knowledgeable.

We came here before my company partying December to try some of their menu items. I got a mocktail and he got a cocktail to start with. We shared some wings, garlic fries, a burger,a torta, and a steak sandwich. The drinks were nice and refreshing! The wings were pretty and flavorful. We tried both the buffalo and Thai cashew. Everything else was really good too! The side items we chose were the tots, Mac n cheese, and onion rings. Service was friendly and attentive. I loved all of the items I tried. Prices were very reasonable as well.

I was between a 2 and a 3 star rating for this place, but I ultimately decided to go with a 2 because the service and what I ordered fell short. We went on a Tuesday during HH, but it wasn't busy yet. The guy who initially took our order was really nice and made us feel welcome, however, I have no idea if he was just subbing for our table or what because he never came back. What we got: - HH wings (bbq): the serving portion was really generous, however the wings were a little tough and dry. - Fries: crispy, but wayyyy too salty. - Burger: This was solid! Service: No one checked up on us during our meal. When we were ready to settle the bill. I made eye contact with a girl who seemed to have taken over the guy's role as server. We made eye contact and I raised my hand up to get her attention. She sees it and instead walks over to a table and clears it off. Mind you, this table was sitting there with everything on it for a while and the restaurant was not busy. After she cleans up some of the plates, we make continued eye contact again, but I didn't wave her down because I figured she was busy cleaning, she finishes cleaning the last cup and so I wave her down again. She goes to a table in front of me and takes their appetizer plate away (they didn't wave her down and their main dishes weren't en route either, she was just keeping busy, I guess). Goes back to that table and takes a napkin away. We make eye contact again and I'm just like does she not see me? Because, again, she ignores our continued eye contact until the person I was dinning with got her attention. Overall, the price and portion size of the place is good. I wonder if I came in on an off day for the food, but I don't know. Maybe it was an off day for the server too, but because of the meh food and lack of service, 2 stars.

Fantastic value for Tuesday night steak night. However, comes at the cost of inferior service. Sat at our table, after 15 minutes, had to ask the hostess who was our server. Saw a server behind the bar doing shots and they were on the clock. Good way to run a business.

I dined in last night for their Tuesday night $20 steak special. Mannn let me tell you! WORTH IT! I made reservations and they were booked out 2 weeks in advance. I read that they can get packed especially during steak night so I didn't want to risk waiting awhile for a table. It looks like it can get pretty packed and the atmosphere here (like others said) is more of a drinking/bar/eating place. There's tvs around and its inside a garage warehouse building so it can get cold. The service was as good as it can get with it being packed and only 2-4 servers. We had to ask them a couple times for things but very understandable since it was super busy and not enough of them. They were all very nice but just busy. So the Tuesday $20 steak includes a 12 oz New York strip steak, a side, and an alcoholic beverage! You can't beat that anywhere! There are other entrees for $20 that includes a side and an alcoholic drink as well if you don't want steak. But that's the star of the night! They have happy hour and other specials during the week too. On Tuesdays, happy hour ends at 5pm which is when the steak night starts until 8pm. Make reservations! My family all ordered the steaks which were all cooked perfectly to our desired preference. We got both sauces; peppercorn and veal which were both good and complimented the steaks. We all got different sides of fries, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese that were all surprisingly just as good! We also ordered the tri tip nachos and wings. The wings were tasty my son enjoyed them. The nachos were good as well; not salty or bland. It did lack some heat so I had to ask for hot sauce in which they brought out a bottled hot sauce and their verde sauce which made it much better. Their old fashioned is strong! If you want a good buzz. I also had the Protector Juicy IPA which was delicious and strong.

We went here for their Tuesday steak special and it didn't disappoint! $20 for a drink and a steak plate, you can't beat that! They also have more happy hour specials. Will definitely be coming back.

Finally made it! Located in a little food row across from Northgate lies Liberty Call Distillery. It looked like parking could be a challenge, but luckily for me, I ubered. I've yet to make it for their $20 steak night, but since I was planning on going to a jazz show in the area, I figured it'd be a great opportunity to give Liberty Call a try, and I'm glad I did. Upon walking in, I was greeted and told to sit anywhere I'd like. I always love sitting at the bar, especially at brewpubs, as you typically get more attentive service, and people are often more social and chatty there. I come for the food and drinks, but I greatly enjoy meeting new people, and I'm always up for some good banter. The first thing I noticed was that the bar seats are much too low for the bar; it would make a bit of a challenge for shorter people or those with small torsos. I can only imagine that they don't want to invest in new bar stools, because it's obvious these aren't the ones. There's only a few larger tables, so if you're in a big group, you may end up having to push several tables together, which seemed like a regular occurrence here. I opted for the Cherry Smash, which was still $9 on happy hour, as I'm a big fan of cherries. The drink was just okay, and although I ordered 2 more after that, I'd probably opt for something else next time as there wasn't much cherry flavor to the smash. My boy got a draft cocktail, I believe $7 on HH, that was 19% abv and delicious. I'd probably get that next time. I ordered the famous cashew wings, $8 on HH, and the burger, also $8 on HH. I asked for the wings to be extra crispy and that they were; they had a nice little sweet tang, and were very delicious. The burger was a double with cheese, and it also had a beautiful onion ring on top. The burger wasn't anything to write home about, but it wasn't bad by any means. It had a nicely toasted garlic buttered bun, and was served with bbq sauce on the side. I wish they had asked how I prefer my burger to be cooked, as the burger was served well done. Definitely going to make it back! Thanks LCD!!!

Was checking out different spots in Barrio Logan and I almost regret saving this place for the end of my stroll because I was pretty full from coffee and food at other places...otherwise, I would've loved to have ordered food off the menu here. Ordered the whiskey flight and appreciated the service and explanation of the different pours. Not one mix, I definitely want to return to try their other spirits and cocktails. This place is conveniently located in a plaza with more than enough parking spaces.

This is a poppin place, especially on Tuesday steak night, so I recommend you get a reservation. Steak night means entrees are served with a drink: an old fashioned, a beer, or a glass of wine. $20 for a steak, side, and an old fashioned?! what a steal - especially in this market. Service is quick so you won't need to wait long for that hot dinner and a cold drink! Grab a friend or two and head down to Barrio Logan!

Hooked me in with their $20 Tuesday Steak Night offer but the steaks and service left me unsatisfied. Parking wasn't too difficult but the place got crowded at 5PM for steak night. My party was seated immediately. However, smaller groups around me were asked post seating to relocate elsewhere due to larger parties coming in. Definitely should tighten up on the seating arrangement. Our server barely attended my table and water was self served. The $20 steak meal consisted of an alcoholic beverage, NY strip, sauce and choice of side. After we placed our order, the food took 20 minutes to come out. =ORDERED= *Old Fashioned: my choice over a glass or wine or beer. Was quickly and strongly made. Fiery start. *Thai Cashew Wings: an excellent appetizer. Not spicy but rather a milder version of a mango habernero sauce. Chicken was moist and tender. Loved that it came with a ranch trough. *12 oz NY Strip: the steaks came with either a veal demi glace or bourbon peppercorn sauce. The steak itself was cooked nicely to medium rare. I chose fries as my side and they arrived limp. Both items were on the saltier side. *8 oz Filet Mignon: the alternative cut to the NY strip and was $25 instead of $20. This was inedible as it was incredibly rare to the point of mooing. The mashed potatoes were over salted and the salty demi glacé was unbearable. Very disappointed in this plate. Overall I would stick to the NY Strip and avoid the demi glacé. While the deal was enticing, the service and execution made the meal disappointing. The wings and drinks were worthwhile so I wouldn't mind a buzzed hangout here in the future.

Food : good for $20 steak night Service : friendly Ambiance: open garage like bar Came out to try the Tuesday Night steak night. The offer is $20 NY strip one side (choices of fries, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, or seasonal veggies)and a cocktail (choice of old fashioned, beer, or wine). We opted for the sangria. I got the steak with mashed potatoes pepper corn sauce. I asked for medium it was more medium well, the sauce was watery but the overall not bad for $20. My friend got the same but with Mac & cheese. The Mac and cheese was like noodles and butter no cheese. Another friend got the lobster ravioli came with a side of garlic toast. For dessert we had the lava cake. It was good but the lava was still hard no lava. The drinks were strong, different but good. They had TVs all around to watch the game.

Such a fun vibe! This place is known for their cocktails. I forget what we ordered because they all have funny names, but both my friend and I really enjoyed our choices. The food was great too. We ordered the tofu. I think it had a light tempura fry, yummy sauce, and very large portion. The bread is roti with an eggplant and tomato dip. Very good, but not enough dip. I'd still order it again. Probably the only negative was that I felt a bit rushed to leave. We were enjoying our conversation, entrees, and drinks and got checked on quite frequently. Eventually the waiter said, no rush but here's the check. Kind of ruined the vibe. We decided to pass on dessert here and walk to an ice cream shop in the same neighborhood.

Good Enough Cocktail Club has opened in the large suite across the plaza from the vacant hall where a couple of restaurants from the previous ownership failed to thrive. The new management has experience operating multiple ventures in the SD area including a popular bar in Carlsbad. I had already eaten dinner, and it was getting late so this was a quick stop for a small bite only. The place was fairly quiet with the outside patio empty, a few patrons entrenched at the bar, and a group seated at one of the small tables to the right when you walked in. As part of the ambiance, there were some vintage speakers and a record player set up to spin some vinyl on busier nights. Two of the menu pages were dedicated to cocktails which were $14 each with over a dozen varieties. Beer, wine, and sake made up two other pages while the rest was dedicated to food. Those offerings consisted of bar bites and tapas. I picked the Chicken Empanadas for my order. Two pastries were stuffed with spicy chicken that sat on top of a bed of arugula. A cup of chimichurri was provided for dipping. The empanadas were each cut in half on the plate. I found them to be fairly ordinary in terms of taste and quality. Since I didn't purchase a drink, I can't comment on that aspect of the business. What did annoy me was that a customer wandered outside on the patio to wait for her order and began puffing a cigarette. The smoke odor was very noticeable from where I sat. The ventilation either needs to improve, or they should inform smokers to light up farther away from the entrance. The rating for my experience at Good Enough Cocktail Club was good enough for three stars.

It seats roughly 20-30 people and there's a bar on one end and a stage on the other end. Old school red curtains add to the vibe. And here's the best part. On Mondays, it's jazz night. Local musicians will play which makes for a great time. Service (3/5): There was one bartender working when we were there. Overall, she provided pretty good service. There was one comment she made which rubbed me the wrong way but no biggie. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so were on a liquid diet. I did notice that they have a few snacks available like popcorn. Drinks (4.5/5): When you think of speakeasies, you think of elevated cocktails. I look for creativity and an interesting blend of flavors and ingredients. The menu here, while not huge, has some interesting options. Outside of the menu itself, the prices are reasonable (especially for California). And they make you stiff drinks which is always appreciated. Taking into account the cocktails and the ambiance, Charade is an awesome laid-back speakeasy. Make sure to stop by on a Monday for jazz night. That takes things up a notch.
