Ben executed our ideas perfectly and was one of the few builders willing to incorporate some salvaged peices we had collected into our new build. Other area builders we talked to about this were reluctant to do so but Ben was enthusiastic about adding "character" to our home with his design and our salvages materials including vintage columns, fireplace surrounds and mantels, and antique doors. Today you see this on DIY TV shows all the time but 7 years ago Hogan Homes was the ONLY local builder we talked to who was not just willing but HAPPY to make these peices part of our beautiful home. The owner of Chimney's seemed like a nice guy. He said he could repair the the fireplace as soon as the very next day. I said "Great, I have to go to work the next day but Id leave the back door open." My daughter leaves her IPAD on the sofa every morning and it is in the same place every evening. The IPAD was suddenly missing. We tore the home apart and searched until the next day before placing blame on anyone. The owner of Chimneys Best said Its impossible that anyone from his crew stole it and he offered for his cousin who is trooper to trace it. Unfortunately, since the IPAD we bought our daughter for her 6th grade graduation never left the confines of our home we did not put the tracer on and it was also unlocked so no matter what the offer was it would be untraceable. We filed a police report but nothing came out of it. I should have taken the day off and been vigilant the entire time but since we moved to a small new town I suppose I was too trusting. I do not think the owner of Chimneys Best stole it but Im 100% sure someone in his crew did. I hope you enjoy a child's graduation present and feel like crap scrolling through a little girls selfies with her cat. Our daughter was in tears. Instead of sending me the correct unit, they instead sent me a conversion kit which I then had to pay the installer extra to install. Tri-State initially agreed to reimburse me for the labor, instead here I am 2 months late arguing with a new customer service rep who says I "should be happy the conversion kit is free"! A kit I only needed to fix the their problem in the first place. They have now reneged on any agreement to reimburse me and are instead gaslighting me telling me there is no propane version of this unit, which is demonstrably false, and that no mistakes on their part were made.
