Why is no one ever at the register to greet customers? In 47 years of getting my clothing cleaned, I have never seen a more empty store front. Is there a single business out there that leaves their registers completely unmanned? The owner seems inattentive, unfocused, and bothered by customers being there. She seems to be focused on chatting away with the people behind the store front. Everyone who is at the registers tries to get you to leave quickly, but they take forever to even come to the front, if they even realize you are there at all. There are obviously more people in the back, because when there is a line, more people appear. Why do they wait for the store to be packed full to appear? Why are there two or three of us waiting for one person at the register, when there are clearly more people in the back, just chatting away? Why is it that not a single person employed at this store (with one exception) seems to know where anything is? Every time, whether it is my order or someone next to me, they have to check the camera for something. Is nobody keeping track of anything? The only good person there is the older tall gentleman with graying hair that shows up occasionally to the register. He seems to know where everything is and will always smile. Hopefully he is the owner's husband, because he seems to be the only one that can do anything. read more

As a wheelchair user, I was very pleased to find an experienced seamstress who was willing do work on a dress for a sitting client. I heard about Liberty because they tailored my sisters wedding dress and did a beautiful job. I went to see them, arriving in my bridesmaids dress, and asked that they place safety pins rather than regular, and leave the back hem an inch longer to accommodate my seated posture. I then went home to remove the dress, keeping safety pins intact, and returned to drop it off the next day. The whole staff was very kind in accommodating my needs, which I appreciated. My finished dress was beautifully hemmed, I'll absolutely use them again for my next alteration! read more

My rating is based purely on value. I had two pairs of pants hemmed, neither of which had a lining, and they charged me $30 per pair. I didn't notice the charge when I dropped them off, so my fault, but I do know the going price for a very basic hem is $15-20 per pair. When I asked why it was so expensive, they said it was because they were wide-legged pants but that's not true - both were straight leg. They did knock $5 off, and the pants were hemmed properly, but that's what I'd expect for an extremely simple and straightforward job. I came in with 2 white. 1 blue and 2 stripped shirts and requested if it was possible for same day service for dry cleaning as I was going out of town for my wifey for our 17 year anniversary to Niagra Falls. I first came in with one unstructured Jenny Yoo silk organza gown then changed to a structured very well made Pronovias gown. Liberty Cleaners is the only place I go if I can help it. I've tried others and either they don't clean as well, the service isn't as good or whatever, I always go back to Liberty. One other place stapled the tag to my husband's silk tie. They used to have a thing where they discounted 5% if you paid upfront, but they no longer do this. They always have Tootsie Rolls available at the counter. My wedding gown was cleaned here (it had been over 10 years since I'd been married) and it came out perfectly. We went to Sandy for my wedding dress alteration and she did SUCH a fabulous job. She took a very plain dress and glammed it up and made it fit and look so perfectly on me. It was so flattering. We also had extra fabric and she handmade a little jacket to match my dress and it came out so so beautiful. She went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. I have only had positive experiences with Liberty. I moved to Summit in June and in August I had a friend's wedding to attend. I was a bridesmaid so I needed my dress altered, literally just the hem, nothing more. I went to another tailor directly downtown (my first mistake) and legitimately almost got ripped off. I actually went back in after accepting the $90 price for a hem and asked for my dress back. That's when I called Liberty. $50 later and a teachers' discount, the dress looked awesome. I brought another bridesmaid dress here recently that needed a decent amount of work. Again, super impressed! She didn't even charge me for the strapless bra holder that she installed. I've also had typical dry cleaning done here and it's always ready 2 days later and I've never been disappointed. Yes, things are liable to shrink, but nothing has shocked me. Very disappointed with the service. The prices are high and not compatible with the quality of the cleaning. You really have to check the clothes after their service s very often the stains remain on it. For the regular skirt alteration they requested $57 when I was able to find for $25 at a different place in Summit. They play with the prices a lot, even adding non-existing clothes to the check. First time I thought it was a typo but then after my third visit and having had exactly the same "typo" I realized it was not. The staff was friendly and the new renovations look nice however I brought my wedding gown in to be pressed before my wedding and they put safety pins in my gown making noticeable holes, lost the coat hanger I brought it in with and gave me the cheap wire one instead (the dress is very heavy and this doesn't hold it), and didn't even do a good job pressing it. It still has noticeable wrinkles. And still charged me $70. read more
