We've been using this facility on and off for a few years now. The manager, John Van Gogh, is helpful every time. I love it that they are a Charter School vendor. The facility has always been clean. What they can improve on: 1) Always having someone available in the front. 2) Having more friendly staff in the classes. I've had super friendly staff, but I've also experienced the opposite.

We've been going to Liberty Gymnastics since 2017, and have had a truly wonderful experience. My daughter and I started with the Tot and Me class as soon as she was old enough, and she's continued up through their recreational classes over the years. Our family friends used to join us every Friday as well for the open gym time. It's been paused during covid, but I believe is coming back this fall. My daughter has done a few week long camps during the summer time, and always asks to go back for more! My son is finally old enough to start that same Tot and Me Class, and we've been going for a few weeks now, and he is having an absolute blast! He is in a class with Coach Marc (the same as my daughter), and he is over the moon to get to learn from "big sis's coach". Marc has always taken the time to go out of his way to say hello to the kids and check in with them (even when we aged out of his classes). He knows everyone's name at the gym, and you can tell how much he cares for the families and children that spend time at Liberty. My daughter loves to tell me all of the funny jokes he would make during class, and now my son does the same. They think he is just the best. I feel lucky that they both get to learn from from him. We've had a variety of coaches and teachers during our time there and they've been fantastic. Everyone there, from the front desk staff to the coaches, has always been kind and friendly. Not only have we always appreciated the welcoming and inclusive environment, but we've been impressed this last year with their covid protocols. As a family, we are thankful that they are looking out for the safety of our kids. Thanks, Liberty!

My son (just turned 6 years old) has been in Coach Marc's class this last year. My son is shy, slow to warm, and cautious. He only has good things to say about Coach Marc. He enjoys how silly the coach is and how he offers new challenges each class. As a parent I enjoy Coach Marc's enthusiasm for teaching. Liberty has been a great experience for my son.

My family has been with liberty gymnastics for off and on for 5 years + my son was on the tot class and now my daughter has been with coach mark for about three years. She has a speech delay and was very shy at first. After a bit she warmed up and she's thriving in class twice a week. Yes there billing is funky but after a while you will understand it. The staff is very friendly and never seen or met a bad seed. Very happy with them and will continue to support them.

    High fives!

My daughter has been going here since she was 3 years old. I cannot begin to say how much she LOVES it here. Coach Marc is truly an angel! He's very fun, energetic, and liberty gymnastics would not be the same without him! My daughter just turned 6 and his now in the big girls rec class and she was so sad she wouldn't have Coach Marc anymore. Whenever she sees him she lights up. Coach Marc has a gift when it comes to the kids. He gives great constructive feedback and goes above and beyond what any gymnastics coach could ever do! Coach Marc we cannot thank you enough for all you have done for Us. You not only taught my daughter how to be a great gymnast but you have also taught her very valuable life lessons. She looks forward to seeing you every time we pull into the parking lot.

How awesome is this place!!!! Coaches are great and respectful. This is among the best in the Bay Area. My son has been going here for a few months now, and this gym has been great. Please keep up the great work.

Pros: facility is solid it has a lot of potential activities and different ways kids can grow and learn gymnastics. They also have a play area which is clutch for dealing with kids who don't have class at the same time. Cons: teachers look often inexperienced and turnover is common. First few months we had two younger but quite vocal and directed coaches. Now it's tricky. In my other class we have more experienced coaches, but midway through the class they tend to lose focus and kids are sorta all over the place. They have some odd rules and enforce or change them at what seems random. Sit in the wrong spot? They'll announce a general warning not to do that. Bring your kids to the door that they used to let them in last week that without warning was changed to the other one? You bet that's gonna be a public service announcement about you messing up. Overall: experience is going to be class dependent especially with the teachers. If I knew there was a clearly better option I'd probably take it. As of now I believe USC is probably the best option in the area.

My daughter, now 8, has attended Encore's summer camps in previous years when she was 6 and 7. She…read moreis autistic--funny, sweet, and energetic--but she can sometimes struggle with following directions. When she first attended at 6, we had a great experience, and even spoke with someone who said they specialized in supporting children with special needs. That gave us a lot of confidence in returning the following summer. When she was 7, we enrolled her for several weeks in the afternoons after her summer school program. We were assured that she was welcome and that there would be no issues. The first week went smoothly. During the second week, however, we were told she wasn't staying with the group the entire time and that it was a safety concern. Instead of working with us on strategies or accommodations, we were abruptly told it would be best if she not return for the rest of the summer. This left us without childcare for weeks during a time when both my spouse and I work full‑time. Despite that experience, we still hoped things could be different this year. Our daughter has grown a lot, and with ADHD medication, many of the behaviors they struggled with have improved significantly. We planned to sign her--and our son--up for just one week. But when I tried to register, I discovered there was a hold on our account. After calling and being told someone would get back to me, I was later informed that they were "too worried" about my daughter being a problem again. No one asked whether anything had changed since last year. Instead, I was told we could send her only if we provided an aide or a family member to supervise her the entire time. If we had a family member available to supervise, we wouldn't need a camp. And paying for an aide on top of an already expensive camp simply isn't feasible for most families. My advice to other parents: if your child is autistic, on the spectrum, or simply not a perfectly rule‑following child, think carefully before signing up. In our experience, Encore did not offer support, collaboration, or solutions--only exclusion. It's painful to see an 8‑year‑old who means no harm turned away instead of being met with understanding and partnership. Families deserve better, and so do our kids. I am giving this two stars because I imagine if you have neurotypical children the camp is fine.

Everything else is taken care of. Decorations not necessary given the space. They even have tablecloths and serve the pizza for you. Staffing was excellent- great employee to kid ratios. I would say it's best for ages 4 and up, not younger toddlers. The only downsides are you do have to book at midnight the time it opens 2 months ahead if you want a guaranteed spot (even then may not get it!). Fairly pricey, and if over base amount of kids included gets even pricier. It was definitely worth it given everything they do.

We went through 5 or 6 coaches(honestly could have been more but for sure not less). My daughter tried out and made pre team...we decided against it when we were told it would start in July...well July came and went and nothing. Pretty sure pre team didn't start until September. My daughter moved up to beginner 2 and her first day in the class she was bullied by another student and told to stop doing what the coach told her to do and pushed her, the coach did nothing. My daughter's shoes were stolen and they did nothing...just told me to take the other child's pair of shoes after class. The a few weeks later her coach came out and approached me at my car rudely about my daughters crocs and then tried to insinuate that we took someone else's. The second to last class we were at the coach for beginner 1 was sitting on the floor just talking to a student not helping the other children with their stations and making sure they were doing things correctly. During conditioning the coaches don't watch the kids to make sure they are doing things safely...instead they just sit and talk with themselves. When I brought this to their attention I was told "since it wasn't brought to their attention when it happened they couldn't do anything". I told them we would not be returning, after already being gone for 2 weeks and was told I had to stay until the end of the month. We haven't been back in 4/5 weeks and they are still trying to charge me. I had to put a block through my bank so they couldn't charge me and call them to reiterate I wasn't paying and we would not be returning. They also gave me the run around for 2 days about canceling. They just want your money and do not care about the children. Editing to add that as of today, December 25th they are still trying to charge me when I cancelled with them over a month ago!
