Rude and inconsiderate gets the same in response. Was scheduled for initial PM appt. Submitted personal information to office for insurance verification and preceretification. Received an additional 3 phone calls from this office to verify information and appt time. Never any mention of copay or deductible needed for appt.; even on a call the day before. Arrived in the office and was greeted by, "that will be $180 for today's visit"! I explained I had not been informed of needing any money for the visit, and I had not made plans to get this money prior. The front office person refused to allow me to even speak with the physician. She insisted on the money. I asked if there was anything that could be done since I had planned on this appt a couple of weeks now. She disappeared a second and returned with, "we will need half up front". I tried to explain to her that I had seen 4 specialists in the past 2 weeks and had not had to pay any money up front. She then became defensive and accused the other practices of making th3 "mistake". The proceeded to turn me away. I was/am pissed off at the unprofessional behavior of medical practices. Licensed practitioners allowed UNLICENSED personnel to make medical decisions for them. This certain warrants a complaint to the TEXAS BOARD OF MEDICINE, to at least question this practice. As I began to question, this practice, things became heated and they started avoiding my questions and the response became "well, we didn't because". Then, it became my sole responsibility after being told THEY handled this information. Then the CFO "Sam" gets on the phone with a pissy attitude, of course, the conversation became heated immediately. At NO TIME WILL I ALLOW AN OFFICE PRACTICE TO SPEAK TO ME IN THE MANNER THIS PERSON DID! AT NO TIME!! All I have to say, question their billing practices and exactly what you are being billed for. I have already called my insurance company and alerted them to this issue as well. BEWARE OF SHADY BILLING PRACTICES. CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMAPNY AND HAVE THEM REVIEW THESE BILLS WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB. When you have a CFO that immediately becomes defensive, its a red flag. When you have front office staff that DO NOT HOLD A LICENSE TO PRACTICE MEDICINE, and FINANCIAL personnel who DO NOT HOLD A LICENSE TO PRACTICE MEDICINE, making MEDICAL DECISIONS, its a red flag. QUESTION EVERYTHING IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO HERE. ADDITIONALLY, THEY HAVE REFUSED TO RETURN ALL OF THE PAPERWORK CONTAINING MY PERSONAL INFORMATION! I've been dealing with severe chronic pain for about 10 years now. I ended up leaving the practice. It was the worst decision I've ever made regarding my condition. I've been to other pain specialist since then. The care I received from Dr. Bhandari from 1-10 would be a 10! I see now she is the one doctor that really looked out for my well being. She is a straight forward pain specialist. She don't play games. She always does what is in the best interest of each individual patient. Dr. Bhandari don't base her treatment plan around filling her pockets with money. Dr. Bhandari puts the time in to really get to know her patients. I've never met a more compassionate pain specialist ever. I regret the day I left her practice. Dr. Bhandari tells you how it is, good or bad. She don't sugarcoat anything. If you can get Dr. Bhandari to be your pain specialist - I promise you will happy and very well taken care of according to your specific condition. Replying to her bedside manors. She is not an arrogant uncaring Specialist. She is confident and it shows. She is excellent at what she does and she has no time for patients that don't want to follow her protocols. I've been dealing multiple pain specialist over the last 11 years. I can say without a doubt Dr. Bhandari is the best Pain Specialist Physician I've ever experienced. She puts the patient's welfare first front and center. If she will accept me back as a patient, I will never do anything to jeopardize the physician/patient code ever again. Even if I can't return to her practice, I will always recommend Dr. Bhandari to others that are fighting severe chronic pain........ also to address the office staff of being rude. I've never once experienced or seen that type of behavior. They are working in a very serious medical setting. I was always treated nice and respectful. The staff is there to do their job and be polite and friendly. However their not there to make a friendship with the patients. They have to be friendly but professional with their patients. The staff can't cross the line with a patient. That would be unfair to everyone. I personally think Dr. Bhandari is able to run such an outstanding practice because she has a fantastic staff behind her. The Dr. is wonderful.......her staff however mainly the NPA Toni......bad staff will ruin a good doctors office!!! Lets leave it at that, i will never return. Spoke with my regular doctor about the events they we stunned!!! What a way to not think about your patients, leave them sitting there with a blown vein and needle still in and very well aware i said remove it! I waited until the patients were cleared out and the rest of the money was made before they came to me. For shame i realize the dr stuck her finger but dont leave me in a room in pain needing to rest after my proceedure is complete and tell me to wait for blood drawn for the doctors sake and i am for that but then to come back and tell me to go to a LABCorp to have blood drawn after me sitting there WAITING FOR YOU TO FINISH working on ALL THE other people when i needed to be home rest after my proceedure. I completly understand for the doctors safety the bloodwork must be done, but then to tell me you cant after we had been waiting and waiting and still had the damn needle in my hand???? Then we get to Labcorp and the NPA didnt even order the right test so we wait another hour of my painful situation to reach someone on the phone since Labcorp could not get anyone to answer the phone!!!! What happen to the medical profession actually giving a crap about their patience comfort?? I guess that went out the window when the assembly line came into effect for Doctors!!!!! This was our first visit with Dr. Bhandari. My husband has been having lower back pain for several months. He has gotten some relief with Tylenol and with AloeMD crème (works instantly and wonderfully, but he is having allergic reaction to it). He had a lumbar myelogram with an orthopedic specialist to identify the source of the pain. After the visit today, he will get a steroid injection on the lower spine area to deal with the pain more efficiently. We now have hope that our lives can get back to some degree of normalcy. The doctor is friendly, listens well, relates to the symptoms, and has given us renewed hope and a path forward. The staff is friendly and efficient. The reception has a great personality. They even gave us a quick appointment (on Christmas Eve) so that we could start the process after spending two prior months in telephone tag with another pain specialist. During the year 2018, I was recovering from a lumbar fusion that had left me with lots of pain in my lower back. On multiple occasions I ended up going to Dr Bhandari to get back injections to relieve pain. For the most part, the injections were very successful - some, more so than others, but that is the nature of this type of service.
