Finally on the 3rd quote they gave me the price for what I asked for in the first place, only after I had to call to get each of those because they never responded. I accepted the 3rd bid and asked them to get it scheduled. They told me should be able to work me in during November (within about 8 weeks+ after I requested a quote). That was fine, so I turned down bids from 2 other companies. Today (a month after I first requested a bid) they email me and say sorry, due to the small scope of the project (45' of gutter) they don't have time for me and turned down the job. Now I'm at least 2 months out into the rainy season trying to get on the schedule for the other company. If you don't want the job, don't bid it. What a waste of my time. Don't count on them to follow through, they may come in cheaper than the other companies but clearly you get what you pay for.

And they did it all for hundreds of dollars less than any other bid I got! I'd highly recommend working with this crew. It's challenging to take pics of your gutters so I'm sorry the photos attached aren't better, but take my word for it: even if no one else would notice your gutters, you will, and you'll be happy you got new ones before rainy season starts.

Hugo replaced shingles, addressed issues in the attic and examined the rest of the roof. I appreciate that Hugo was early to the initial consultation and the work appointment. He completed our request and then some. The company name says St Joseph Roofing and Deck Repair but he can do much more than that. More recently, Hugo installed laminate flooring on our uneven floor. To minimize debris, he took the planks down our steep stairs to make each cut outside. Highly recommend.

He even found the particular deck stain that we wanted. Hugo and a helper moved some large flower pots and so forth off of the decks to be cleaned, and came back the day after they finished the staining to move them back again. His crew did a great job cleaning the deck, and even went beyond by cleaning adjacent areas that were not technically part of the deck itself. In the end they made sure that we were satisfied, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. The whole large job took only two days, and at a very fair price!

They replaced a warped facia board, and made two small repairs on the boards under the roof. In addition, Justin secured our loose gutter. The price was very competitive and good. Afterward, cleanup was done with a magnet roller around the house area, plus picking up stray old roofing pieces. Communication was good, with progress reports throughout the day. We are happy about our new Malarkey roof. Justin Thomas also does siding and painting, with word of mouth recommendations.

With the heat we've had the past few summers and then the snow that seems to be a yearly event now, we thought it was time to get a really good widow upgrade. We also wanted out house painted after installation and Clear Choice set that up for us as well. (See my review for Triple A Painting). What we loved most about dealing with Clear Choice Windows & Doors was the personalized service we received. They have a large selection of window frame materials to choose from and our choice of fiberglass was an easy one. It was explained to us that fiberglass windows are stronger than both vinyl and wood, making them incredibly resilient to weather and climate -- perfect for PNW homeowners. From start to finish, our team of window installers provided friendly service, excellent craftsmanship, and it took only two days to install the 10 new windows in our home. Before, during and after, the team cleaned up and kept the work site tidy at all times. There was minimal damage to our landscaping as well. We can feel a definite difference in the inside temperature of our house since the new windows were installed. Our AC doesn't seem to work as hard and it takes less time to cool off in the summer and to heat in the winter. The outside look is classy and fits well with the style of our house and the neighborhood. We highly recommend Clear Choice Windows & Doors if you're looking for new windows.

We have used Clear Choice three times now. During the last time we used them to replace a window…read moreframe that was leaking water into the house. The crew that came out was very new and completely botched the job, breaking siding along the way. To Clear Choice's credit they sent out a more senior team member to fix the issue and said they would replace the siding. Unfortunately because they had to cover up all the issues the window frame is now twice the width of all my other window frames. Once the siding arrived I paid Clear Choice to paint the trim and siding. The crew came out to fix the siding and get things painted but they said they only would paint the trim even though I agreed with the project manager, Luke, that the siding would be painted as well since they broke the siding in the first place. In April the trim was painted and they said they would come back out to do the siding but they never came. After multiple messages to Luke and then to our original sales rep, Jeff (who is lovely!), we still do not have our siding painted. Jeff did everything he could to escalate the matter but after months of back and forth it is clear that Clear Choice does not have great internal communication between sales and the working technicians since even a small job could not be resolved despite multiple efforts from myself and their own colleague, Jeff. While we appreciate the work Clear Choice has done for us over the last several years, we will not be using them in the future, as I now need to buy paint and find another service to come out and paint our siding (which Clear Choice broke), leaving me in the negative for this project.

He provided a written estimate and said he could come back the next morning with the right part if we wanted him to do the work. The price was reasonable so we gave him the go ahead. G.O. arrived at 9:30 the following morning with his assistant, they went right to work, fixed the door, even did a full look-over of all the parts to make sure nothing else was on the verge of breaking, and everything works perfectly now! He definitely went above and beyond for my small project. He came over for the estimate as promised and gave me a download on what he recommended for my project and we worked together on the details before landing on a final plan. He kept me updated along the build process and the liner turned out pretty sweet with a beautiful custom fit. Worth noting when comparing this custom liner vs the mass produced stuff online- Jim can create a welded one-piece unit that is structural vs. most online stuff is multiple pieces bolted together. Jim continued to respond promptly and provide lots of great support and suggestions based on my responses. I particularly appreciated Jim's honesty and being so transparent and up-front about the results if he were to do the job with his equipment. Although Jim didn't have the capability to perform what I wanted, I was able to get the job done through following his recommendations. Based on that experience, hired them to fix a gutter slope issue (full replacement) as well as replace a skylight which was leaking subsequent their roofing work (they did not take responsibility for it even though I think they should have minimally flagged it as an issue). Skylight and gutter replacement workmanship both had issues and had to be redone/reworked (they spotted the skylight issue, I spotted the gutter issues--thankfully it rained shortly after so I was able to spot the problems early). I paid them in April and called explicitly in July to verify the payment status when I spotted an irregularity in my account balance. I asked them to confirm that they had received the check, that it had cleared, and that the account was settled. They confirmed that it was, and I asked if they were sure and they said they were. Fast forward to October and now they've reached out to say that the account is no longer settled, the check was never deposited, and they're asking for payment again. At this point there is no budget for this, as I was assured this was resolved and cleared months ago. Really disappointed.
