I got inspired by watching youtube to make a jambon buerre sandwich - supposedly a popular quick sandwich for Parisians. The sandwich is half a baguette with butter and French bistro ham. I tried searching all over for the French bistro ham with no luck. The only options were online sources with expensive shipping and/or expensive minimum order sizes. Somehow I stumbled upon MA-France nearby in Arlington and they sell jambon-buerre sandwiches. It's a small shop that sells sandwiches, pastries, and a small offering of French food products. Lots of pastries and baked goods like quiche, tarts, cookies, croissants, etc. The cheese offerings were very limited and basic. I can imagine that the cheeses that they sell are the same types and brands that they use for making sandwiches. For example, they sell President brand Brie - that you can also buy at Costco and market basket. Disappointing, but understandable because they can't afford to buy more variety and more expensive offerings without a big enough client base to buy those cheeses before they go bad. Getting back to the sandwich - it was half a baguette with some thick slices of butter and two pieces of French bistro ham. The bread was kind of dense and the crust was more chewy than crispy. I was disappointed that they didn't bother to spread the butter, but if they're not selling enough sandwiches then they're probably keeping the butter in the refrigerator - making it too difficult to spread. When I got home I fixed up the sandwich to my liking. Overall, the sandwich was okay, but not good enough to make me want to go back. At least I was able to solve my hunger for the jambon buerre sandwich.

My friend and I wound up in the overflow a little after 11am when the event started. I've always seen signs around when I'm driving in the area for other events or goods that they are selling. In the fall they seem especially popular as well for pumpkins and fall activities. The market area is brightly lit. Given the neighborhood, as everyone else has commented expect prices to be at a premium. The samples we tried at the Strawberry Festival were tasty. My favorite was the short cake. They also offered tickets at $1/ticket for some other paid offerings such as their ice cream which I skipped. They had someone dressed up as the Green Monster so that was a fun photo op for the family too. The event had a lot of staff so each station was moving. In fact one of the owners/managers came by seeing a long queue near the entrance by the pasta said we could walk around to the other stations since no one should be waiting in a line (ignore the line to park and get in haha.) I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit but it's an option for local. I've also gone to Wagon Wheel which is smaller for seasonal / market type items.

I don't know if the staff were just having a bad morning or maybe there were customers with bad attitudes before me, but dang. There was no one behind me and I wasn't fully sure what kind my friends would want. I wanted to peruse some. I was in and out in about 5 minutes, but the woman behind the counter seemed bothered that I was asking questions about the muffins like the flavors. The display case doesn't have them listed by the muffins. There's a flavor board behind the counter which is helpful, but it would be better if they were each labeled somewhat so you could see and pick them. I asked 2 questions overall and panicked and just picked 2 other flavors hoping they would be okay, but it wasn't as good of an experience as last month and left me a bit flustered. I'm never expecting over the top super happy, springy first thing in the morning but rolling your eyes and acting exhausted from 2 questions just seemed like a bit much for a happy and bright muffin spot.

I am religious when it comes to Ginseng and this place has it all…read more I LOVE THIS PLACE. I strictly purchase Authentic Korean Ginseng and this is one of the only places that I can actually walk in and have a hard time deciding what to purchase. I would say without hesitation that this place has the very best selection of authentic Korean Red Ginseng including but not limited to Tonic Gold (my top choice), Extract Powder Teas, Extract Extra and much much more. They also have a lot of men and women personal products and vitamins as well. The store is very well kept, clean, organized and stocked to the brim with Ginseng Products. I was impressed with the salesman, He was attentive and very informative. He had brochures available to the customers filled with product knowledge. I also over heard him explaining in depth to curious passersby. I purchased the 30 pack of Korean Red Ginseng Tonic Gold which cost$183.00 which is a great bargain as far as Authentic Red goes. The 30 pack comes packaged extremely conveniently. You receive 30 individual 1.35 fl. oz pouches, packed 10 to a box and the 3 boxes are then neatly placed in a larger fancy gold box which is very impressive. This Tonic has a very high concentrate of Oriental (Korean Red) Ginseng Root Extract, a whopping 4,200mg. This particular Korean Red Ginseng Tonic also includes other great extracts which is the reason I prefer this over any other. It also includes 2,000 mg of Jujube Fruit extract, 500 mg of Agaricus Blazai Extract, 215 mg of Angelica Gigas Nakai Root Extract, and 20 mg of Mojave Yucca Root Extract Powder, Bearded hedgehog Mushroom Extract Powder and Shitake Mushroom Extract Powder. So as you can see for a little over $6.00 per individual packet (1.35 fl oz) the value is easily there. I was lucky this time, as there was a promotion going on, if you spent $200.00 you would receive a small bottle of Extra Ginseng Extract worth $30.00. Since my purchase was only $183.00 i was $17.00 shy of the free gift, but they were nice enough to put it in my bag as they cashed me out. Like I said THIS PLACE IS THE BEST !!! I easily give Korean Red Ginseng a Solid 5 Stars
