She stayed with me straight through until 8:30 that night, even during a monsoon storm outside, never once losing her patience or showing frustration, even though my file was a complete mess thanks to TurboTax. Yes, it cost me $850 to have her fix everything (on top of the $350 I had already wasted on TurboTax), but I would pay her fee a hundred times over before I'd ever give the IRS $7,300. Robyn is worth every penny. Her professionalism, dedication, and kindness blew me away. TurboTax will never advise you, correct you, or fight for you the way Robyn will. It was an expensive lesson, but one I'm glad I learned--because I've now found the person I trust with my taxes. I'll be filing my 2014 return with her next week, and I know I'll be in good hands. She is in her 70s, has dementia, and needed a professional who could patiently and competently navigate the process. Instead, we encountered an accountant who was lazy, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional. From the very beginning, Bill failed to read or absorb the information I provided, forcing me to repeat myself multiple times. Rather than listening or problem-solving, he fired back condescending emails filled with attitude. At one point, when pressed for guidance, his response was: "There is nothing further I can do for you. You will need to find a tax preparer that doesn't know what they are doing in order to get the return filed. Good luck!" That's right -- instead of doing his job, he essentially told my family to go hire someone "who doesn't know what they are doing" if we wanted the return completed. What kind of professional speaks to clients like this? This wasn't a one-off slip in tone -- it was a pattern of arrogance, laziness, and outright neglect. Bill showed zero compassion for my mother's condition, no willingness to problem-solve, and no respect for our time or circumstances. He seemed more interested in blaming us than actually providing solutions. An accountant's role is to help clients through complicated situations, not abandon them when things aren't simple. Bill made it clear that he doesn't have the patience, professionalism, or empathy to handle real-world clients with real-world challenges. Prospective clients: take this review as a warning. Throughout this entire process, my messages to him were cordial and respectful, even as I had to repeat myself multiple times. His replies, on the other hand, were consistently dismissive, combative, and unhelpful. The problem wasn't that he insisted on accurate information -- any competent accountant should. The problem was his failure to communicate, failure to read the documents provided, and his repeated choice to lash out with condescending emails instead of guiding us toward solutions. Professionalism isn't just about refusing to "compromise integrity." It's also about having the patience, empathy, and communication skills to work with clients in difficult situations. Bill demonstrated none of these qualities. His responses showed the emotional intelligence of a toddler -- reactive, defensive, and incapable of constructive dialogue. So yes, I absolutely stand by my original review: if you're looking for a professional who will handle your financial matters with competence and respect, look elsewhere.

Luckily I had made physical copies before dropping off my documents to that other service and I found these guys on Yelp. Evelyn was very friendly and booked me an appointment right away and offered their help to file an extension and prepare my taxes at a later date. Bill saw me in person hours later to explain everything and what to expect. When he saw how simple my filing was he offered to do it right then and there so it would all be resolved. Despite hitting a few roadblocks with getting all the information needed from me, he patiently helped me figure it all out and ended up getting it all filed. After a horrific experience elsewhere and this office's kind and quick service, I will be returning here in the future. Instead of being insulted and ignored, I was treated with kindness and respect even though I am not a big money account. Bill managed to do in an hour what my last Tax Service couldn't get done in a whole month. Thank you!!!!!

Do not file your tax return with them if you are a foreign citizen!…read more I filed my return on Feb 02. I paid them almost $400 for their "consulting services" upon filing and still did not get a penny after 3 months! But what's more important, they are not able to tell you what exactly is happening with your application and where is the return! You are not even able to trace it nether at IRS website, nor at theirs. They just fill out standard forms, submit them in paper and do not share any information about progress! They failed to enter my phone number correctly. The only response I got from them is that IRS is "probably" busy now, and "your return application is likely to be processed shortly". When you just file an application, they tell you one term - 4-6 weeks. After that expires, they say "Oh, IRS is busy, it will take 8-12 weeks". When that expires, they start saying that you have to wait for your wife's ITIN number to be issued. Then, after 3 more visits and numerous call, the only information I could pull out of them was a tax advocate contact number at IRS, who was able to convey a clear processing terms and deadlines, which those "consultants" at H&R Block should have let me know in the very beginning! I would then definitely look for more affordable option! Does it worth your money paid - definitely not! They charge you for what you can do yourself, nothing else. It will probably take no longer than our waiting so far. And I have never been offered a compensation for these obvious mistakes.

Per the IRS, I was instructed to file by mail as e-filing was not allowed. The lady working there was extremely condescending and told me the IRS doesn't accept handwritten 1040s. A simple Google search will show that is a lie. While e-filing is preferred method, they will accept handwritten forms. The lady simply did not want to help me. She could've said she did not offer manual tax write ups. I also asked if she would be willing to write up the forms digitally so they could be physically mailed in and she stated she would not.
