Let's start by saying that when you find out your children have lice, you start freaking out and, if you are like me, probably end up bagging everything in the house to seal out the pest. Every stuffed animal, every pillow, every mattress, mattress, cover, couch, cushions, even wanting to burn them off. But you can wash and dry them in the dryer instead lol. As for additional treatment, like your actual hair and head, mattress and everything Yanelis came to the rescue. I searched online sites for a lice treatment center or company and wasn't greatly successful. I came across Lice Wiz and saw they had a Yelp review as well as other reviews so of course I trusted it. The updated hours on yelp are correct, they are closed usually on the weekends, however on Maps the old hours were up as open. I took a chance and called her and she answered. She did inform me that she was closed , kudos to Yelp for having the correct information. However, she sensed the urgency in my voice. She comforted me and knows how it can be very stressful for someone who doesn't really deal with lice. I literally caught her in the middle of a beach day with her husband and she was over to our home within a couple of hours and I mean maybe two hours. I really appreciated that. She came with her equipment, a stand, special tools, and some creams. She worked quickly but very efficient pulling back all the strands of hair. She's a pro and knows what she's doing. I am so thankful for her service. After she was done with the treatment on both of our girls, she gave us tips on how to check our children, how to maintain lice, free hair, how to clean certain items in the home that may carry lice and you can't fit into your washing machine. She also has wonderfully scented lice repellent oils and of course her signature hair pick. This was a scary situation for me as I said I'm not used to life but it was made so much easier and relatable and by Yanelis. Your children and your hair are in good hands with her reliable service. I definitely recommend her. Oh, before I forget, she also has discounts for check ins through Yelp which was also applied to our balance !

It is cramped. * I asked the nurse? Tech? If they do the covid swabbing (Masks down, coughing, etc) while we're sitting mere feet away doing hair. YES! The tech looked horrified that nobody told us. As a result, she assured me that she would send someone to my home ASAP. (Nobody came) * I was told (in secrecy?) to use the Hollywood location next time? because the Hollywood store hasn't had any positive testers in 3 weeks!!!! COVID TESTING SITE- Not for children I have been to lice troopers in the past (not during covid, though), and although I didn't think that they had the best service (the prices seem to go all over the place- depending on who you speak to and when you call-- in fact, we were first quoted close to $200, and by their third attempt, i believe we were quoted $95). I overlooked the questionable fee arrangements, because I just wanted my daughter and I to be checked before school began. I did not strongly suspect lice, but out of an abundance of caution, I called LICE TROOPERS and decided to make an appointment in Plantation. In fact , I rushed there so that I would not be fined the $50 late fee. WOW WOW! When we arrived at the store, I saw signs advertising same day covid testing, but I thought they were just ads for a different suite. NOPE! Then I opened the door: *What I EXPECTED to see: a clean, airy, industrial designed hair salon type place called LICE TROOPERS that I had used in the past. WHAT I GOT: As quickly as I opened the suite door, I along, with (my too-young to be vaccinated) 8 year old, were suddenly standing shoulder to shoulder in a sea of people crammed tightly into a small barely ventilated vestibule/corridor/ area filled to the seams with people who were clearly waiting for a covid test. Yes, both my daughter and I wore our masks-- thankfully since they're not required down in Florida- but I'm just hoping that it was enough. We ran out of that tiny covid room as quickly as we could. When I got to the car, I tried to look up other lice services (we used a wonderful company before- but I couldn't find it initially). I noticed that almost ALL of the lice removal websites all lead me back to this horrible, and quite scary place. Lice Troopers called us several more times throughout the day. The business has been split into two parts the front is the COVID-19 testing but when you walk through there's a door that leads to the area where the technicians attend you and do the treatments. I had the pleasure of meeting Trisha she was my technician and was immediately welcoming and put me at ease. I was very nervous, itchy and tired. I had already tried the over-the-counter treatment for lice removal a week prior and still felt that it wasn't completely gone. As soon as she started checking she showed me that I still had some, eek! She then proceeded to begin the process and very thoroughly combed my hair while chatting up and making me feel at ease that this was going to be resolved. She combed my hair in parts thoroughly, twice! They have a membership for those that have multiple people in their household or children at $9.95 per month, I recommend that but for just the initial treatment it is a little bit pricey at $175. But for a problem that I've been dealing with for the last few weeks and the relief I feel now it is well worth it. Highly recommend and ask for Trisha.

It was informative in the sense of providing information about how many naps babies should be taking and for how long. It did not discuss methods to aid in having the baby sleep or be put to sleep. The last slide in the presentation discussed which books we should read for that information. I asked the instructor if she'd be able to email the notes to me because I wanted to show my husband one of the charts. (I was holding my baby and couldn't write the information down.) After a week, I emailed Valerie (the owner of the location) and she said she'd get me the information. After a month, I saw a post on Facebook about the course and I stated that I was disappointed and found the information I requested online. The next day, I was sent a google docs file link that doesn't work. I'll post a screenshot of the page. I wouldn't recommend the sleep training workshop.

She couldn't even identify exactly what was on my son skin, she read off notes from what my sons pcp doctor wrote.Now my son pcp at pediatric associates referred my son to Dr. Burke the woman and the 2 times we went I wish we didn't.The woman doctor Mrs.Burke who is supposed to be the dermatologist was so unprofessional, impatient, rude, and very off putting! I kept asking her questions out of concern since this was for my nine-year-old son, who was also scared of the options that the doctor was advising the one she did decided to do causes blisters and is supposed to eat at my son's skin tissue to remove the molluscm (very painful option) It didn't work at all the bumps came back and she told me that it would go away, before we even got to the part where she applied the canthorin on the 2nd visit. the first visit was horrible she didn't want to answer any of my questions as i was persistent trying to understand how these bumps were going to be removed from my son skin since they are highly contagious. she kept ignoring me and wrote a prescription for triamcinolone to apply to his face area for 10 days at night now the doctor never said to apply it rubbing it in like lotion or to spot apply it around the contagious bumps i asked her what would this outcome be she never explained. so I just winged it out and trusted her out of desperation and just applied it like lotion on his face and body as I did that for 4 days I started to see more bumps come on his skin I panicked went on google for answers as to why more are appearing and I called the doctor she wasn't available she did call me back and just said to stop using it as I screamed letting her know it's her fault because she didn't give me clear instruction. on the 2nd visit that's when she applied the medication that causes the blister to apparently burn at the skin to remove the molluscum and she wanted to follow up in 13 days. I called the office and cancelled the appointment as her solution was useless it didn't do nothing but scar my son skin and the bumps came back this doctor is not honest and rather waste your time experimenting on kids skin everytime I went to take my son each visit I had to pay a co payment of $30 dollars it's a lot of money to me because I'm currently unemployed and it adds up quickly.I'm now back at square one searching for a new doctor that would be able to treat my son and properly educate me on this skin rash my son has so that way I can keep everyone else in my household from catching it. this skin contagious mollusucm is driving me crazy since it's so contagious and the bumps are ugly along with the new scars he got thanks to this stupid doctor!!!! btw she is so old she needs to retire her breath smelled so stank as well!!!! This is the worst dermatologist I've ever been to. I went in for a simple cortisone injection. She…read morefirst gave me unsolicited advice about skin care products and makeup (which was not what I went in for nor asked for). When she finally got around to the injection, she completely missed the cyst, injecting a hyperpigmentated area nearby instead. I brought this to her attention, asking for correction and wanting just the smallest drop in the actual cyst she missed (knowing the risk of atrophy/divot). She then got defensive saying she knows what she's doing but that she would do it if that's what I wanted. She then proceeds to empty half a syringe of cortisone into one spot on my face OUT OF SPITE. The area ballooned much more than what a "drop" would do and when I brought this up, she SMUGLY said that it was "just air from the syringe" ...as if drs don't push the air out BEFORE injecting. I am sick to my stomach with what she caused on my face. Praying it heals and goes away but it could take months or be permanent... TLDR: This is a horrible, HATEFUL, SPITEFUL individual who clearly did what she did bc I brought her mistake to her attention, bruising her ego. What an absolute quack of a doctor. I would never recommend her. 0 stars.
