BEWARE!! LICE TROOPERS IS AN ACTIVE COVID TESTING CENTER!!!!! * You MUST walk through the patients awaiting a test in order to gain access into the lice area. It is cramped. * I asked the nurse? Tech? If they do the covid swabbing (Masks down, coughing, etc) while we're sitting mere feet away doing hair. YES! The tech looked horrified that nobody told us. As a result, she assured me that she would send someone to my home ASAP. (Nobody came) * I was told (in secrecy?) to use the Hollywood location next time? because the Hollywood store hasn't had any positive testers in 3 weeks!!!! (should I cheer?) * Not a single person in the place (that I saw) had any ppe on other than a simple mask. The majority of the storefront was dedicated towards testing. It seemed like an extremely dangerous situation. We left. COVID TESTING SITE- Not for children I have been to lice troopers in the past (not during covid, though), and although I didn't think that they had the best service (the prices seem to go all over the place- depending on who you speak to and when you call-- in fact, we were first quoted close to $200, and by their third attempt, i believe we were quoted $95). I overlooked the questionable fee arrangements, because I just wanted my daughter and I to be checked before school began. I did not strongly suspect lice, but out of an abundance of caution, I called LICE TROOPERS and decided to make an appointment in Plantation. In fact , I rushed there so that I would not be fined the $50 late fee. WOW WOW! When we arrived at the store, I saw signs advertising same day covid testing, but I thought they were just ads for a different suite. NOPE! Then I opened the door: *What I EXPECTED to see: a clean, airy, industrial designed hair salon type place called LICE TROOPERS that I had used in the past. WHAT I GOT: As quickly as I opened the suite door, I along, with (my too-young to be vaccinated) 8 year old, were suddenly standing shoulder to shoulder in a sea of people crammed tightly into a small barely ventilated vestibule/corridor/ area filled to the seams with people who were clearly waiting for a covid test. Yes, both my daughter and I wore our masks-- thankfully since they're not required down in Florida- but I'm just hoping that it was enough. We ran out of that tiny covid room as quickly as we could. When I got to the car, I tried to look up other lice services (we used a wonderful company before- but I couldn't find it initially). I noticed that almost ALL of the lice removal websites all lead me back to this horrible, and quite scary place. Lice Troopers called us several more times throughout the day. Apparently, all of their stores have both covid testing and lice services. I guess now it's a fiscally good time to join the plague! read more

I spent $800 for me and 2 small bhidren with boys haircuts. I came back 16 days later because I still had lice and they told me the guarantee is only good for 14 days. I spent 800 and they won't honor their guarantee? Yes that's correct. Now the guarantee is 10 day I believe. I had such an awful experience that I would take down my original post even when offered $500 and free Lice club for life. Buyers mom's and dad's beware. Read the fine print. This place is the worst. In total I spent over 1200 dollars in 2017 and they never did get rid of the lice. read more

Quoted over the phone $45 and $90 for guaranteed, got there and they want $195 !!!!! if it will come back in few days another $60 .. liars! didn't take the service but bought their comb for $40 which I found in Amazon for $5 and much better and did it all perfectly and totally clean lice and egg free at home for a week straight then needed a signature in order to come back to camp, the girl was checking for 15 minutes just to say I found a nit -when I was asking her to show me she said she already took it out and refused to keep checking or to sign although I paid for the service all she kept saying is we need to do the treatment and only then I will sign! My husband made an appointment for our daughter and was informed that it would be $145 and they would give us a $25 coupon since it was a referral from the school. The treatment would be about an hour. He booked the appointment for 3pm and we arrived. The lady at the front asked if we had an appointment; I said yes and provided our last name. She went on to explain that it would be $145 for an hour and anything beyond that would be $60 for every additional 30 minutes. Judging from my daughters thick and curly hair; it would go beyond the hour. I informed her that at no point during the call that my husband placed, was he informed that it was not a flat rate and that every additional 30 minutes would be $60. Let alone, we would incur a higher fee due to my daughters type and length of hair. I called my husband and confirmed and he reiterated that he was informed that it would cost $125 with the $25 coupon. I asked the lady at the front if it could just be the flat rate; she replied that she couldn't do that. I thought about it and informed her that i couldn't see myself paying that additional fee. It's already really expensive to begin with. Unfortunately, it was a waste of our time! Luckily we found another location Who did charge a flat rate and would do a second Treatment as part of their protocol. They also had a 30 day guarantee. I strongly feel that you should be upfront about any additional cost. Later on this evening at 854pm, my husband received a text indicating that they can do a flat rate of $85. A little too late. It would have been nice for the folks at the actual location to be able to offer this. read more

5 stars because they removed the lice and they didn't come back. Omg the price. To the tune of $965!!!!!! No joke, for 3 of us to get the initial service then come back 2 weeks later for a additional $60 a person( cheesy to recharge ) cost $50 to check the people who didn't actually have it. Place was clean. I might have burned my clothes upon leaving though. So this is what they do. Comb threw your hair with a tiny comb over again section by section which takes time and patience. Wash the stuff out and then put some garlic concoction in your hair, bun it and but a shower cap on to send you home in. Then you get to go home and tear your house apart. Come back 2 weeks later and redo the same thing in half the time minus the garlic. As they do you hold your breath and pray your lice nightmare has come to a end. Took over a hour to do all of our long hair. My head is itching just thinking about it. Thanks for the removal and pray I never ever ever have to return! read more

Yesenia and Cindy were fantastic. They did a great job! My daughter had it quite bad and they were very patient and understanding. Hopefully I never have to go back but if I do I hope that they are there. The only downside was the excessive text messages and calls. The text were in the excess of 3-4 a day. The calls were too. I finally had to tell the lady to stop calling me. And even after I had the re-treatment done they text me again saying I needed to schedule the re-treatment. It was just very frustrating and something I think you guys need to work on. Other than that, highly recommend! read more

I'm so glad I decided to go to a professional to deal with all the lice outbreak. For the past 2 year, my daughters keep getting lice from school. I got tired of the stress and pressure of trying to get all the lice away from their hair and my hair. Lice trooper is a great place, they will do all the work for you and most importantly they give me a peace in mind. The place has that salon feel, my girls definitely were comfortable there will all the TVs. The staff were friendly and professional. My youngest daughter had lice. I thought I knew what I was doing and doused her hair with vinegar and upon seeing all the live lice come out I then realized I had no idea what I was doing. I called the lice troopers once I found them on Yelp with their amazing reviews and even at 8pm at night were willing to help us. They are worth every penny. The peace of mind Hilsa and Diane gave my girls and I words could not express. They were our angels. I will tell everyone about them. Please don't attempt to try this at home. After having a frustrating experience the first time due to price, the owner (Arie) called me and fixed the issue I had. He was polite, honest and made me a happy customer. I will return if (god forbid) my children get lice again. Getting it taken out professionally is comforting and the fact that it's guaranteed is so much easier. My son got his first treatment one week ago. We were seen 40 minutes after our appointment time. There was only one technician and she was working on three people. She had to call the office or manager several times basically begging for help. Finally, another technician came and we were all able to get checked and treated. It is a very expensive services $50 to get checked and $135 to get treated.We were told to bring my son back one week later for a retreat. Prior to his appointment I called to confirm they were still open due to the tropical storm. I was told they were still open. I went and the clinic was closed. I got out and knocked and no one was there. The door was locked, the lights were off and the blinds were closed. I called again to tell them and the person on the phone insisted that a technician was there. I left to run another errand and then called on my way back to check if someone had arrived. I was told someone was there. I went back to the clinic and again it was closed. I called and the representative insisted that the technicians were there. I not only went out in the rain and wasted my time but now my son is left without his treatment. Very disorganized business!! read more

After getting rid of a few lice with otc Nix, I made an appointment for my two girls to remove the remaining eggs. I was told that prices went "from $25 and up". So after reading some reviews I called again and this time the same person told me that actual average expected prices ranged from $75/$95 depending on the severity of the problem. A full infestation could go up to $195. But after driving 30 minutes to their location I was instantly quoted $195 for one of the girls just because she had hair that was longer than shoulder height, and IIRC $125 for the one with shorter hair. None of them had any signs of infestation, and they were NOT checked before giving us the quote anyway. After some complaining we were offered to do it for $175 and $95 respectively. This to remove just the eggs. We left. I'd recommend to stay away from this business. read more

Phenomenal service, staff were professional and calmed my nerves. They left my daughter and I feeling like new! They gave us great recommendations for our home, let us use a spray for our car before we left and we feel so lucky to have called this place! Pretty good, if you need them. Great news-they accepted my HRA card, bad news- prices are very high. The appointments are not exclusive, so there may be many other people there getting treated at the same time. No hand vac either, which would have been nice to do the car while we were there. Instead, we wore shower caps and had to go directly to car wash. Results remain to be seen. I had COIT come and do the carpets and upholstery, bagged everything up, and did about 20 loads of laundry. We go back next week for a check up, so we'll see... read more
