In 35 years I had been so lucky to never encounter the nasty little head nesters so I had no idea. My teen has done her own hair for a solid year or so and I obviously no longer wash her hair, so I assumed for a couple months she had dandruff! Even bought multiple types of shampoos for her but none helped. I talked her into letting me braid her hair- she is in full teenage mode so wants no part of mom playing with her hair, and as I parted her hair I seen the little nasty bugs everywhere! My poor baby had lice and apparently for about 3 months!! She never complained about itching or anything! Myself, husband and other kids had not experienced anything either! I panicked and started Googling what to do and found this place. I called really early and the owner was amazing! She had a very calming voice and reassured me this would be fine. Obviously I knew it would be, but it is Lice and I was freaking out! We have 4 kids! I was sure my house was infested! She walked me through each step of what to do to help ensure I was able to completely rid our home and family of the bugs. She squeezed myself and 4 kids in all the same day and even took my husband on a Saturday to avoid him missing work. They thoroughly checked each of us, treated my daughter (which was impressive considering how my poor teenager was full of them!) and they actually were able to completely kill them in one treatment!! They ladies who did the checks and treatment were professional, very friendly and fast! The owner was and still is available for any questions or concerns and even helped me not feel like such a terrible momma for not knowing my teen had them! I called her multiple times before and after treatment with questions on what to do or follow up questions and she was super sweet every single time! Even a month later when I did a com out at home and found a couple things I thought might be nits, I was able to call and she gave me her cell number, was able to text her pictures and she called me right back reassuring me all is well. My paranoia around the head bugs still is strong but she really does offer the greatest answers, patience and reassurance. I am impressed they helped ensure the lice was gone- a ton of them- in one fast, painless treatment. The place was clean, modern and felt new, the entire staff was great and I cannot recommend this place more if you are dealing with head munchers! They will save you time, frustration and the reoccurrence of the lice! Even better- they offer 30 day guarantee and the cost is even covered by FSA and health care spending accounts! I told them I probably wouldn't make it earlier but might try. The tone of the staff on the phone sounded annoyed that I couldn't come sooner, which I brushed off. We had an ER visit the evening before due to my daughter fainting, but all was okay, and we still wanted to keep our appointment. When we arrived at the parking lot at 1:28 PM, I couldn't locate the suite likely due to brain fog from the prior evening. At exactly 1:30 PM, I received another call asking if I was going to make it, again with a tone that felt annoyed. After this call, I was already bothered and walked in feeling frustrated, keeping interactions short. The appointment started with my youngest daughter, and the stylist began with my 8-year-old, who has very thick hair. I quickly noticed she was whimpering (tears running down her face). Upon checking, I saw he was combing her hair so harshly that it scraped her neck down to her back, leaving it bright red. I asked if this was normal, and the stylist responded with attitude that it was. I immediately told them to stop. By this point, my youngest daughter's session was done (they don't use heat on them). We left. This experience felt careless and unprofessional. Red flags during the appointment combined with the phone interactions should have warned me. This is particularly disappointing because we had a positive experience at this location about three years ago. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this service.
