This is the 2022 Winnebago View we purchased from Lichstin RV dealership in Forest City, Iowa.

The Levelers are still not working. Last night we started the engine and did not release the hand brake, which you supposedly need to engage before using the levelers, and the levelers on the drivers side of the RV retracted. Pure and simple our brand new 2022 Winnebago View is awful and Lichstin Dealership is worthless. Do not buy from this dealership. They are bad news.

**WARNING** Do NOT buy here. The dumbest thing I have (up to this date) done. Is to sign a contract w/ Litschinn and gave them a $5,000 Non-refundable deposit over a year ago. I still have no RV or even a VIN number. When I first ordered my RV OVER A YEAR AGO. I was told the estimated delivery time frame was late summer. We are now in mid-Oct. I was also told that the Mercedes chassis might go up in price but it would be nominal and that Winnebago hadn't raised their prices on pending contracts- both have raised their prices, so, the price I was quoted at signing has now gone up $6,000. But, that was about 4 months ago- I'm sure it's increased by at least $10,000 by now, who knows what it will be in January or beyond. By what I was told- I should be in the RV by now, nope. The last email I received notified me of yet, another delay, the delivery was pushed back to January. But who knows when it will actually be ready. That's 15 months after I put down a non-refundable deposit. PLEASE learn from my stupidity and ask yourself these questions- if you answer "yes", to all... go for it and good luck!! 1) IF you believe- the deal they gave you is the deal you'll get- pay them a $5,000 non-refundable 2) IF you believe- In 18 months you won't find the same RV for a better or same price- gamble $5,000 non-refundable 3) IF you believe- you'll actually get your RV at the time they estimated (hahahaha)- gamble their $5,000 non-refundable deposit. 4) IF you believe- you won't have ANY life circumstances that will change- gamble a $5,000 non-refundable deposit. 5) IF you believe- the RV you want now will be the only RV and the same RV you want 18 months from now- gamble $5,000 non-refundable deposit. In the time I put down my non-refundable deposit, we bought a Tiffin Wayfarer (which made us realize- we don't want the Winnebago), bought a Jeep, sold the Jeep, bought a truck, ordered an Airstream (w/ a $1,000 REFUNDABLE deposit) 3 months ago. We are picking up the Airstream next week. We are looking at legal avenues and will contact the Better Business Bureau, post warning reviews everywhere I can. It's deplorable for a business to operate like this. I've been told by countless RV dealers how disingenuous it is for this company to demand a non-refundable deposit, let alone, hold said $5,000 deposit for over a year +. ***Update 10/18/22*** Owner lied even in his Yelp reply to my review. He states "no timeframe was given". At the time I paid my $5,000 deposit. A time frame WAS given and that was "August'ish". I get email updates all the time that include updates including the one i posted to,prove he lied. The rest of his response was "blah-blah-blah" fillers. He did DM me and wouldn't answer any of my questions. I advise you DO NOT GIVE THEM A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. If you choose to do ANY business w/them, do so at your own risk & get ALL their commitments in writing. As of today, they now estimate delivery is 15 months after my deposit, likely will be many months more and many thousands more. They refuse to return my deposit. We shall see how this ultimately ends... we'll take my chances & let law decide. I'll let ya'll know w/updates as I also want to help those in our situation.

Very difficult and tricky sales staff to deal with . Finally had enough of their turning and twisting as well as false statements such as "we called you or we texted you or we emailed you" and found Shafer Rv in Delta OH , great family to work with , made a deal in no time and everybody held up their end of the bargain. read more

Great customer service by all the staff we dealt with. Their website enables long distance shopping, very competitive pricing, and picking us up at the airport (2hours away for a reasonable charge), made for an easy decision to buy at Lichtsinn. All this and we didn't even buy a brand new or high dollar unit. Worth a look if you are looking for a Winnebago/Itasca. read more

We scheduled an oil change service six weeks ahead of our visit to Forest City. When we arrived they had to order one of the fuel filters. They were not prepared, even though they had all the motorhome data in their computer. They offered us a "free" courtesy roof seal inspection. When I returned they presented me with a bill for $266 to "reseal the front cove." No authorization for this service was given by me. When I challenged them, the service tech just said "sorry" and smiled. I had also asked for a transmission service. They declined - don't do those - go to Clear Lake they said. Another couple was there with their Grand Tour and could not get Lichtsinn to repair a slide under warranty. If you are coming to Forest City for service I highly recommend the Winnebago factory customer service. They do everything and do it well. Even oil changes. We bought our Meridian new from Lichtsinn. I will not have it serviced there again. read more

I needed to have some repairs done on my Winnebago Trend, and since I was passing through Iowa, I decided to book an appointment at Lichtsinn RV. The customer service I received was top notch! Justin Overland, the service consultant who oversaw my business, was fantastic. I also appreciated the complimentary overnight RV parking so I could make it for an early morning service appointment. I just recently purchased my 4th vehicle from Lichtsinn Motors and my first brand new vehicle in quite some time. Whether my purchase has been of a new or used vehicle, I always receive exceptional customer service from the many great sales associates at Lichtsinn. They took the time to find the perfect vehicle for me, which in this case, required an order straight from the factory. Lichtsinn Motors takes the time to do the small things right...they had all of my paperwork in order prior to vehicle delivery and when the time for delivery came, they sent me on my way in a fully clean, detailed vehicle (even during a snowstorm)! I drive over two hours (out of state) to purchase my vehicles from Lichtsinn because no one can match their customer service. They are a true gem! read more

We had a GREAT experience buying my 2010 Chevy Equinox. RACHEL was amazing to work with. We never had such a great experienc buying a vehicle. She emailed usleft messages and helped us however we asked. We got a great deal, and never had a company follow up with us and showed they cared like Lichtsinn Motors Did!!! THANKS!!!! THUMBS UP!!!! BAD SERVICE AWARD to Lichtsinn Motors for NON Quality treatment and non communication with customers :( Our next truck we will not stop by as the way you treat your customers is not QUALITY in any way :( This is in reference to the Jim Orman vehicle.. Two (2) months of NON Communication and thousands of dollars spent for a NON RUNNING vehicle is ridiculous this comment is left for the world to know that you still have NOT made this situation right to the customer! :( read more

I found the company to be well managed and organized. The seem to be well supplied with inventory considering they are a small to mid sized dealer. I was pleased that the owner took the time to visit with me prior to my purchase and it gave me comfort that they would be there for me if I needed anything. read more
