It's a local favorite and I live in town, but they carry Bliss Ice Cream out of Attleboro and if I'm craving Ice Cream, I want it to have a high butterfat content. Bliss comes in around 12%, a step above Friendly's or Newport Creamery. Ben & Jerry's comes in around 14%, so this gives you a bit of perspective. If I'm going to an Ice Cream shop and paying top dollar, it's going to be one that makes their own. For what they offer here, their prices are tad on the high side. As much as I try to support small, local businesses over corporate entities, for what it costs for a small cup of average Ice Cream, I can go a quarter of a mile further and get a pint of Ben & Jerry's at the Stop & Shop just up the road. If you have kids, then this shop will suffice. But if you love truly great, made on the premises Ice Cream, this won't cut it for you. read more

We got a medium sundae made of soft serve ice cream with M&Ms, caramel, nuts, whipped cream and a cherry. It was okay, a little too much whipped cream and not quite enough toppings for us. Lickety Splits has always been my go to for ice cream in the area and they have the usual flavors but the also have special ice cream (depending on the time you go) like my personal favorite their blueberry pie ice cream but they also have other specials and their prices are pretty reasonable. read more

Stopped in at Lickety Splits on my way home from visiting Newport. The ice cream is fresh, creamy, rich, and flavorful. The scoops are pretty big- about the equivalent of two at other places. Made a pit stop on our way home from the aquarium today. We have family in the area so have been going here for years. Pulled off of 95 to get gas on the way to Cape Cod, passed the gas station, and turned around in random parking lot. Random parking lot happened to be Lickety Splits and boy was it a sweet coincidence! The flavor combinations are almost infinite, and they have a new seasonal ice cream every month. My husbands family live in Rhode Island and whenever we would go visit them we would have Lickety Splits ice cream. My husband passed away last year and since I hadn't seen his family years before he passed, the first thing on my bucket list was to go to Rhode Island, see his family and pig out at Lickety Splits. I had two scoops on a sugar cone for the three days I went there. My favorite is Coconut Candy Bar. I can't find it where I live. I would love to know who makes their ice cream to see if I can order some that could be sent to Bend, Oregon. They serve HUGE ice cream scoops. Tons of flavors to choose from. I always get cookie dough and there cookie dough was delicious. The waffle cone was also fresh. The 2 things I don't like is that the waffle cone drips at the bottom so make sure you get plenty of napkins. Also 1 scoop isn't as big as the other places. The ice cream makes its to about the top of the ice cream cone. The thing here is the waffle cone is bigger then other places so it evens out I guess.
