This is a super sweet & adorable shop with all kinds of yummy, unique, specialty and retro candies from all over the world. The place is small and can get crowded quickly but boy, is it chock full of options! They even serve "Mermaid Tea" which is basically just bubble tea. There are a good number of bulk candy along the walls and packaged candy in the middle & some shelves. Behind the counter are individual chocolates and truffles. Some of the types of bulk candy they offer: Pale blue chocolate drops Chewy strawberry lobster claws Chewy cherries Raspberry cordials Assorted chocolate balls All around the rest of the store, there are: Chocolate bing cherries, champagne bubbles, gourmet flavored marshmallows, milk chocolate malt balls, peach rings, lollipops, Kinder Joy eggs, Pocky sticks, popcorn, taffy, Cadbury chocolate bars + other British brands, Charleston Chew, Oh Henry, Turkish Taffy, honey, colorful rock candy, smarties, gum and much more, including cute little trinkets. I bought the following: Tropical punch yellow, blue & red gummies from Spain - These were delicious! Delightfully chewy with awesome fruity flavor Chocolate with caramel & marshmallow center - Gooey and delectable! Cherry Fun Dip - A sugary retro classic I also ordered the "Mermaid Tea," choosing the Chocolate Almond flavor with pink, blue, orange, green, white and yellow sprinkles on top (for an additional 50 cents). This drink is made with powder flavoring and without dairy products. It was smooth and quite chocolatey... There wasn't much taste of almond at all but it was still enjoyable and the tapioca pearls were of decent quality. The ladies at the shop were very welcoming and answered all questions about the different kinds of candy with ease and expertise. I would definitely come back and stock up on more candy if I am in Montauk again. read more

Candy shops seem to be the go-to place in Montauk. Unfortunately, you cant go in the store but you can order some stuff at the door. Damn Covid... They have every candy you could possibly think of. It brought memories back of my childhood and I wanted to try everything in the store! I ordered the milk chocolate cookie dough, milk chocolate brownie bites, and some gummy bears. All were very nice and served by weight. The lady who was helping us was very nice and we were happy to support the local business. The prices are typical of Montauk and so expect to overpay for basic candy but its ok. We were on vacation and wanted to indulge in some treats. Check it out! read more

Take a step back in time for n this retro themed sliver of a candy shop. For a tiny place, the Candied Anchor is jam packed with tons of candy and chocolate. You can find the retro treats of your childhood along side some delicious contemporary modern creations. My son adored the chocolate covered caramel popcorn and the chocolate covered Swedish Fish! Candied Anchor also sells baked goods and party supplies. It's hard to resist passing by and not trying something! There is also a Southampton location on Job's lane. Will have to take a look next time we are visiting. read more

I can't believe no one has mentioned the cranky, mean lady who runs this place. I'm pretty sure she just doesn't enjoy children and didn't realize that being around kids comes with owning a candy store. We stop here when we come out to Montauk, and bought $30 worth of candy yesterday, but the way she rushes us away (when no one else is waiting) and is so cold in general will make it the last time. read more

Way too small and cramped candy shop in Montauk has a tiny selection of chocolates and candies. Interestingly, they have a small selection of English and Japanese candies. Very small selection of assorted truffles as well. Want to fill a bag with goodies, I found the $6.25 for a half pound to be reasonable. Only problem, such a small selection. I love the owner's array of foreign candy, those are always my favorite because not only are they delicious but she travels all over the world to get the candy. "OH MY GOD THEY HAVE ICE CUBES!" --quote from my mother, who hasn't eaten Ice Cubes since she was young. I spend part of the year in Montauk with my family and this past Thanksgiving weekend was the first time we were there since this new store opened. As a girl with a huge sweet tooth, this place definitely met and succeeded all my expectations. First off, this is the most adorable little store. Another review here calls it a "candy coated pinterest board" and yeah. It pretty much is. The woman we talked to was very nice and helpful as well, and there were lots of options for people with allergies/food issues (gluten free, sugar free, certified nut-free, etc.) I, trying to limit myself, only bought a fancy chocolate bar but given the opportunity I would try anything and everything in that store because they all looked great. (The chocolate was delicious, by the way.) I remember there being two other stores in the same spot (an ice cream store and then a barber shop) that did not stick around for particularly long. I hope The Candied Anchor does, though, because I'll look forward to visiting it when I'm in Montauk for many years to come. read more

Finally an amazing candy store in MTK so we do not have to travel to EH to go to that "other" candy store! Jillian (creator/owner) is beyond lovely. Candy selection and ice cream amazing! This place has the freshest candy! It just tastes way better than anywhere else! I complimented the owner on the freshness of the candy and she said that b/c they have no storage she re-orders four times a week as she runs out of items...which means that the candy is always fresh. If you choose where you shop based purely off of aesthetic, this spot is great. Overall, unoriginal. Small shop, expensive prices for the product even in Montauk. Better off getting a bag of candy from the supermarket. Tastes exactly the same but costs half the price. read more
