If you…read moreare insured through UCLA as faculty / staff or other affiliation you can get sessions here for only $15 which is an incredible price point. The parking lot is formerly handicapped stalls but remarked to be designated for patients which is fantastic as Westwood and ucla parking can be awful. Different therapists have different specialties and some are nicer than others. The check in, wait time, and general organization of this facility is quite good.

More harm than good seeing 3, yes 3 PTs. Complete waste of time insurance scam that I had to wait…read morea year for.  Read Yelp reviews and for Burbank.   I left and found movement therapy solutions on YouTube with pros who understand my conditions, Ehlers-Danlos and hypermobility spectrum, which UCLA didn't catch and I had to diagnose myself with, although all the evidence was right there in front of them, a dozen UCLA specialists, orthos, and PTs didn't catch it!!! I have such serious C-PTSD from the medical establishment's abuse and negligence. UCLA offers clinical, 30-minute insurance driven sessions with mechanical staff which perform for record keeping but don't help patients.  No help, no time for warm-ups, no heat packs. I had referrals for knees, feet, arms, wrist and back injuries and all 3 PTs at this location I tried working with addressed all of those body parts separately as if they were not related and working together. Same with Burbank. They literally had no idea how to put an entire human body together as a working system and instead treated me like car parts: brakes, struts and shocks, missing the hypermobilty entirely. It's so obvious. I found the Beighton score and Ehlers-Danlos Society for help. UCLA is so far behind. They're still conducting business like it's 1972. Can't keep their hands to themselves. Groping. No directions. PT exercises on photocopies, movements that are square, stiff, and hurt, but they ignore you. No clue how to treat compound issues, whole body systems or sense of the body-mind, somatic therapy, nervous system regulation. None. Zero breath. The setup is stressed, so are they, and they will pass that stress on to you. I couldn't even get a proper evaluation because I was shuffled from one PT to the next and met by video and she never saw my body! So UCLA doesn't even set up a proper evaluation prior to video appointments! I literally had to evaluate myself to tell her my muscular imbalances! The first PT Noel couldn't understand how to put things together and only gave me exercises for my feet while ignoring my spine entirely and repeatedly stroking and touching my leg without permission, even after I corrected him. Helen and an older hand OT Renee P told me to massage an injured elbow joint which made things worse. Rest was the solution and I had to find that online. I told the OT that I was having problems picking up a one pound jar of table salt with a straight arm and so the exercise she tried giving me was picking up a 3 pound weight with the same movement! So I kept being given directions that would injure me and I had to find all of the solutions online instead! Helen kept canceling her appointments and missed 6 or more and there was really no use to continue. 8 appointments and there was no progress or action plan and I ended up injured. Another problem was that she directed me NOT to use an ankle brace for peroneal tendonitis against the direction of 2 ortho foot docs and it became worse with cuboid injuries. People with HEDS need braces because their joints of the whole body don't hold. That's a huge reason for collapsed feet and posture. SO UCLA made it worse. Zero privacy. I have PTSD and requested a private evaluation, but they booked me with the OT in a crowded room with 8 other therapists and 8 patients all loudly talking at the same time. They do not have patient-centered care. When I asked the OT she said, "but all of my equipment is here". So again, the patient is supposed to comply to doctor desires, not their own needs. They think they are the sun god and we are to revolve around them. Web, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram was the solution. I found all the exercises, approaches, and spine decompression that this PT lab should have offered, but didn't. NW Foot & Ankle Center, Foot Collective, Chaplin Chiro, Jon Saunders. Ray McClanahan, Correct Toes, Daniel Maximov, Spine Care Decompression, gentle pilates, Jeannie di Bon for HEDS. Find hypermobility care elsewhere, Doctor Clair Francomano on YT, Bendy Bodies and Ehlers-Danlos Society. I'm feeling so much better due to MY own research and care! Goodbye UCLA!

He has encouraged me and diligently treated me with laser, ultrasound and electrical stimulation through several rounds of platelet rich plasma injections, and a very slow (15 months and counting) healing process. Now I am back, having a new shoulder impingement attended to. Once again, I feel like I am in extremely competent, caring hands. Dr. Chan and his entire team are terrific - friendly, efficient, and most importantly, effective. I also appreciate the convenience of this office. There is usually meter parking right near the front door, or one block away is a big garage (next to Trader Joe's) with easy validation. Even though I mark my appointments for an hour on the calendar, I am usually out in less than 45 minutes. I have never had to wait in the waiting room more than five minutes before being ushered back to the treatment area. One other thing I really like is that the doctor mixes physical manipulation of the injured area with some cool high-tech devices: laser treatment, ultrasound treatment, and electrical stimulation. I can feel immediate results and less pain after every visit, which I really appreciate. Bottom line, if you're dealing with something that physical therapy can help with: shoulder injury, knee injury, back injury... come see these folks. You won't regret it.

I was close to giving up and accepting that my shoulder might never feel normal again. Then I started working with Michael. From the beginning, he had an excellent bedside manner, really listened, and approached the process with a "never quit" attitude. He was patient, thoughtful, and consistent, and he adjusted the work as I progressed instead of just giving me a generic routine. That made a huge difference. What stood out most was that Michael genuinely cared about getting me back to normal. He pushed when I needed it, explained what we were doing, and helped me stay committed even when progress felt slow. I don't think I would have recovered the way I did without him. I'll honestly miss working with him. Great therapist, great person, and a great experience overall. Another problem is the owner, Dr. Ozar, who was quite unpleasant in my few interactions. When treatments don't feel right or work, his response is always that "you're not putting in the work", and it's incredibly discouraging to hear as a patient. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility or even reassessing the treatment plan, he shifts all the blame onto me! the person who is paying him hundreds of dollars. Dr. Ozar barely spends any time with patients -15 mins max, he'll pop in, give generic feedback, suggest you spend some more money, and move on. If they're running behind (which happens often), you can be left sitting in a cold room for up to 30 minutes. Sometimes they'll put you on electrical stimulation during that wait and yes, you're billed for it - I saw it in the codes from my insurance. It feels like they'll charge for anything they can. Now to the office side of things: billing is confusing and full of surprise charges. Itemized receipts are hard to get, and follow-up questions via email are often ignored. Communication about both care and billing is slow and inconsistent, leaving you constantly chasing down information and waiting for email replies. The staff behind the desk is lovely but clearly don't know what's going on with the billing - which is sketchy. I'm posting this anonymously because I've seen how harshly this business responds to negative reviews. And what really shocked me was how rude and defensive Dr. Ozar is in response to feedback. You can see it for yourself - just look at how he replies to other negative reviews. Instead of taking criticism with professionalism, he argues with patients, accuses them of lying, and writes condescending replies that make him look petty and unkind. If you decide to go, protect yourself. Get those superbills, double-check every charge, and keep every email you get. Ask questions and don't be afraid to push back. You deserve to feel cared for, not sold to. My statements are 100% accurate and reflect my true experience. I have nothing to gain by writing a false account of my experience.
