My first problem is that this place profits off of selling wellness, everything about it feels designed to sell you more sessions, more "treatments," more add-ons, instead of actually listening and helping you heal. Another problem is the owner, Dr. Ozar, who was quite unpleasant in my few interactions. When treatments don't feel right or work, his response is always that "you're not putting in the work", and it's incredibly discouraging to hear as a patient. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility or even reassessing the treatment plan, he shifts all the blame onto me! the person who is paying him hundreds of dollars. Dr. Ozar barely spends any time with patients -15 mins max, he'll pop in, give generic feedback, suggest you spend some more money, and move on. If they're running behind (which happens often), you can be left sitting in a cold room for up to 30 minutes. Sometimes they'll put you on electrical stimulation during that wait and yes, you're billed for it - I saw it in the codes from my insurance. It feels like they'll charge for anything they can. Now to the office side of things: billing is confusing and full of surprise charges. Itemized receipts are hard to get, and follow-up questions via email are often ignored. Communication about both care and billing is slow and inconsistent, leaving you constantly chasing down information and waiting for email replies. The staff behind the desk is lovely but clearly don't know what's going on with the billing - which is sketchy. I'm posting this anonymously because I've seen how harshly this business responds to negative reviews. And what really shocked me was how rude and defensive Dr. Ozar is in response to feedback. You can see it for yourself - just look at how he replies to other negative reviews. Instead of taking criticism with professionalism, he argues with patients, accuses them of lying, and writes condescending replies that make him look petty and unkind. If you decide to go, protect yourself. Get those superbills, double-check every charge, and keep every email you get. Ask questions and don't be afraid to push back. You deserve to feel cared for, not sold to. My statements are 100% accurate and reflect my true experience. I have nothing to gain by writing a false account of my experience. read more

The staff is jealous. My partner put a card on file for my account to receive treatments. And every time he came in Lola would ask if it was okay for her to charge THE CARD HE SIGNED OFF ON to be charged...like she was tattle telling on me. I was only coming in 2x a week. Acupuncture and a laser therapy for my foot. It seemed a bit jealous. Not sure if the staff dates clients and are trying to get rid of partners so that they can have them. Very odd. This clinic was very supportive for me during pregnancy and a difficult time, and I especially appreciated the professionalism of Dawn who was wonderful to work with. I did, however, find it awkward to see instructor Oxana Kotcherga here, as I had a negative experience with her years ago at another clinic (now closed). At that time, she told me she could not continue working with me because of our astrology signs, which I found unprofessional and very unsettling. Because of that, I personally would not choose to work with her and would advise others to use caution. That said, the clinic overall is excellent, and there are truly outstanding instructors available. read more

Really horrendous experience at this place. I had sought care after an acute head, neck and knee injury jury, but the therapist insisted that I do only breathing exercises like I was in a le mas pre-pregnancy class. (I am a middle-aged dude). Cons: When I asked the instructor/ physical therapist if I could take notes or have print outs of the exercise so I could replicate and practice at home, I was recommended to just go on YouTube. They are not giving me a tailored experience for my scoliosis like I was told and they didn't seem to care about my progress at home either. Were do I even start. First with the good. All the people who work at Dr. Ozar's office are nice people from the receptionists to the practitioners including Dr. Ozar. They are all generally good at the specific things they do. The facilities are nice and modern. That's pretty much where my positive review ends. I have had a chronic pain problem which I have been spending thousands of dollars with Dr Ozar to treat each year over multiple years with zero progress. Whenever I would complain that I wasn't making progress I was told by Dr Ozar that I wasn't doing enough. After multiple years of treatment where I was still walking with a cane at age 54 with no diagnosis and no prospect of getting better except "doing more," I downloaded an app called Curable for $70 bucks that uses brain training exercises to retrain the brain around chronic pain and I cured myself in literally a few weeks. I very quickly went from walking with a cane to no pain of any kind. Now I am completely healthy and fit with no problems or limitations, but not because of Dr. Ozar's services. In addition, their billing department is an absolute nightmare. I repeatedly asked for real time receipts when my credit card was billed but they never sent them to me. I got multiple texts and emails reminding me about each appointment, but they could never figure out how to email me a receipt for payment so it was hard to keep track of what I was being billed for each service. It turned out that multiple charges on my card were mistakes which took me many hours to cross reference with my own calendar to clear up. Even after clearing up the discrepancies I still wasn't satisfied with the outcome but paid it today because they were threatening me with collections and I wanted this negative energy out of my life. Bottom line: if you have chronic pain, buyer beware. Don't buy into the "you're not doing enough or spending enough" narrative. Try other options like Curable before lighting thousands of dollars on fire like I did. read more

The folks at OWH worked as a team to support and strengthen my body after sports injuries and pregnancy. Rather than superficially addressing what's "broken," they consider how to strengthen each area of my body so that it works functionally, teaching me to move with more joy and less pain. Their team works together across disciplines such as physical therapy, weight training, Pilates, massage and acupuncture, to name a few. Each body worker is at the top of their field; for instance, the Pilates instructors are present/ former dancers with advanced hours in Pilates method training, the acupuncturists have PhD's. Most importantly, OWH invites the patient into this process, which empowered me to learn how my body works, where I have challenges, and how to move forward - and age - with strength, confidence, and functional grace. Wellness is a word that gets tossed around a lot, but feels right to describe what happens at this office. Each person, from their brilliant admin who schedule services and bill insurance to the massage therapists who offer their feedback on how to stretch through soreness between sessions, I cannot find one note of improvement. I'm so grateful for this resource. I'm stronger, healthier, and more embodied in my 40's thanks to my work with this team. It's not a quick fix - nothing worthwhile that creates long term health is. I came to Ozar Wellness house to get PT on my knee. I had been to another place for 3 months and hadn't been making the progress I wanted. My physical therapist at Ozar Wellness house pushed me, gave me great exercises to do at home, and constantly offered good advice. His advice has made a big difference in my progress. I would go back anytime! And the 15 minute massage on my knees after my session made a BIG difference before I left each session. By the way, all of the staff in the office was kind, fun and treated me beautifully. They made it fun to be there...despite my pain! read more

I was deeply disappointed to find out that all they cared about was money and not one's well being. They charged me the full amount and provided partial service. Several follow-up emails went on deaf ears with their billing manager only replying the full amount was due and not responding to the fact that Dr. Ozar did not complete the physical nor did he provide a report that was promised (after asking me to get x-rays). I had just come back after a few years and realized they only care about collecting as much as possible in order to cover their new expensive address and facilities. It feels more like a show now than a caring health and well being provider. Very sad to see that as I had liked the staff and service at their previous location. read more

They were very quick to respond to me and let me know which providers were within network for my boss, who I was making arrangements for. They are phenomenal as far as e-mail response times!! I have also had a very easy time scheduling last minute appts as our schedule fluctuates WILDLY. The physical therapy is top notch as well, which is greatly appreciated as we are trying to avoid back surgery by any means necessary!! Once when I was in the waiting room, I heard a lady asking if she could schedule an appt every day until she was better. Dr. Ozar was very fair in saying that she was more than welcome to if she wanted the additional supervision/accountability, but that she should have comparable results if she decided to keep her regularly scheduled visits and complete recommended home exercises. read more

Ozar Wellness Center over delivers on the promise of a one-stop-shop for physical therapy and wellness needs. I got in touch with the office admins and they got me in the very next day for a consult and appointment. Now I go regularly every week and have seen great results in a short period of time. I suffer from Migraine headaches, chronic TMJ, and mid-back-pain on a regular basis, and the treatment with the entire team has helped me tremendously with pain management and overall my physical and mental wellbeing. The team (PTs, masseuses, chiropractor, pilates, and acupuncture) were all incredible and I am certain that the success of my TKR was directly related to the PT I received; without it, I would not be back in the water surfing and waterskiing or able to handle the torque placed on my left (front) leg in a full golf swing. read more

I'm in heaven after visiting Ozar Wellness House and meeting Dr. Ozar. What a complex of essential services, and well executed for an excellent recovery model. After two separate sessions of much needed acupuncture, deep tissue massage and adjustments by the doc or pilates, the pain, tightness dinimished and the range of motion just expanded in multiple areas. I'm figuring out how to stay away because the results felt so good. This compounded with a friendly and professional staff, and outright talented and thoughtful technicians/specialist laying hands on your body who committed to creating results with each visit makes this a very remarkable and unique experience. You do arrive and leave feeling like an individual, you matter and no other better version of care could possibly exist. Came to Dr. Ozar with an annular tear/herniated disc. I had tried everything, 2 epidurals and 8 months of PT and nothing was helping. Within a few weeks I was feeling better than ever. Everyone in the office is so nice and the space is incredible! Dr. Ozar and his incredible team at BHP have seriously changed my life. I started seeing Dr. Ozar for adjustments and treatments after discovering that I had a couple of herniated and worn out disks in my lower back. As a young female in her late 20's, I couldn't understand why my back was in such bad shape. Dr. Ozar recommended physical therapy in order to gain strength in other areas of my body to support my lower back. After starting physical therapy at BHP, I can feel myself getting stronger, and the pain has subsided immensely. I have gained so much knowledge on how to take care of myself from Dr. Ozar and his incredible staff. The physical therapists teach you how to properly work out, and they help correct your moves in order to prevent further damage to your spine. Each one on one session with the physical therapists, followed by treatment, and adjustments has helped drastically. The pain when I first started treatment was unbearable to the point that I had to take several months off of work. After my visits to BHP, I can now return to work and carry out daily tasks with minimal pain. Not worth the price overall. There were great things and some things just felt like a money grab. Definitely questionable billing practices! While the acupuncture and cupping were great and top notch, nothing was worth the $700 I paid out of pocket!! They told me upfront it was a flat rate for massage, acupuncture and cupping but I ended up paying around $700 (out of pocket w/ insurance paid). This is what I got in 2 sessions: a 30min talk with Dr. Ozar (yes I was watching the clock) 5mins of adjustments with Dr. Ozar, 30min massage, 15min acupuncture, 10min cupping with electro and a 30 min pilates session with an instructor who told me she had no patient notes about me so we just did whatever. Definitely not worth it! I realized at pilates they just want my money and there wasn't a real plan to improve my health. I could have gone to a really good massage therapist 3 times for this price and had better results. Dr Ozar - Nice guy but no one ever gets on the phone here, when I came in on a Saturday the front desk people didn't know what i was there for and they charged my card $270 for pilates and a 15 min massage.
