Kim the director I was fond of at first and then she switched, and called me a bathroom Nazi even though the bathrooms were at first assigned to certain rooms and someone kept wiping feces on the rug and walls, breaking the toilet seat and just not being mindful and I had an issue with it because they assigned me more often than not to clean the restroom nightly for my chore. told me i needed to get used to communal living. Then told me "no wonder why youre family doesnt want you around and why the father of your baby fights with you, you are a problem and no one wants you around. You make the women here uncomfortable." One thats wrong because i have mental health issues and thats discrimination and harmful and harassment. And two i was friends with everyone except for one black woman after she misconstrued my words about me telling her she needed to not tell this one woman what she should be doing with her money because she found it offensive then wanted to talk to house moms about it and asked me to come for moral support and I got bitched at for coming with her and got told to leave. Kept getting "x's" for apparently missing or being late to groups. When i wasnt. Id have to go in circles to have my case manager to look back at cameras and even then the house moms would take days to fix their mistake. That black woman as well kicked me in the back when i was cleaning air vent at bottom of stairs and i told staff (house moms) and they told me "accidents happen" They have on website that they help with transitional housing one in fact, the case manager told me that she could not help me with housing could only recommend places and aside from that they were shitty shelters that she recommended or that wouldn't accept me because of how far along I was in my pregnancy I was about five months at the time. The groups were fantastic though especially the art teacher. And i loved Jules (house mom) she was an angel. As well as Alexis (house mom) and Nurse Keri. One of The House Mom's Jackie walked away from me mid conversation after I was explaining to her that originally she told us that the dinner tour had to be done by 6:30 and then changed it last minute when I was already out out of the house getting pizza from somewhere and she said that she shouted it upstairs That I should've known, even though I wasn't there and it wasn't past curfew and she gave me an X for it. I brought it up to my case manager, and she told me basically that Jackie was pregnant and that I just needed to not mind how she was with her moods. Meanwhile, everybody else in the house was pregnant and not allowed to act like that. They have favorites with some of the women that go into the shelter and then other women they completely disregard and pushed the side and Try to always do things to make them feel less than and not help. Bring them up. You are also not allowed to get a job there until after three months of you being there but after three months, have you been there most of the time they kick you out and you do not get moved over to parenting and again they do not help with transitional housing so you basically have to figure out where to go or you're on the street. Luckily, I had some time to try to figure something out for myself, but aside from that this program is misleading and money hungry do not donate to here and do not go to their thrift store. You're basically funding people to get Harleys And nice clothes and cars, and not actually funding a foundation that is trying to help pregnant homeless women. Their attention to detail and the individual needs of each child and what it takes to aid in their development while away from their parents is what I appreciate the most. The fact the kids do not cry when getting dropped off yet cry when it's time to leave the daycare is self explanatory. The ladies here truly love the kids and show up that way everyday. There hasn't been one day where I've dropped off my baby and felt as though she would get less than quality care. Aside from nurturing, the ladies incorporate specific tools and activities to help your child achieve various educational goals and social goals. I am reassured while working that my baby is ok with the frequent updates through the app (meals, diaper changes, pictures/videos, and accidents/illnesses if any). Lastly, cleanliness is not sacrificed here what so ever. The daycare is always practically spotless and sanitized. No smelly children here! Thank you ladies for all that you do!

My boys just got home from Camp Nawakwa and had the time of their lives!…read more My older son was homesick and his cabin counselor, Squirrel, did amazing calming him and getting him involved. There was lots of activities and they had options so they could choose the things that interested them. Swimming, crafts, archery, drama, rock climbing. They had a dance and camp fires, they performed skits. When I went to pick them up my little one had lost his voice from singing and cheering so much. My homesick boy didn't want to leave... He even asked to go back for the next weeks session. Days later they are still singing their cabin songs and telling stories about what they did while they were there. I know my kids can't wait to go back and I'm so thankful they had this experience. And I'm going to make sure they return to Camp Nawakwa because they have made memories they will cherish for a lifetime...and they'll make even more in the summers to come

Much better not to come at all than come and not visit everyone. The nurses confirmed the dog owner knew we were waiting for a visit but took off anyway. They need better screening for the dog owners. Unacceptable behavior!

This review is specifically for receiving service from this organization. Every so often, my work…read moreplace invites these cute doggies to visit. During lunch time, all the volunteers will be in the courtyard with their dogs. Each owner has been extremely nice and loves to share stories of the animals. All the animals are well behaved and trained. The volunteers shared that they visit hospitals, senior homes, and other places that can use a little extra joy of dog therapy. Overall, it seems to be low commitment of volunteering with a minimum of once a month, according to one of the volunteers. In the future, when I get a dog, I'd like to enroll and volunteer my dog with this organization.
