I was really disappointed! I've held my receipt for nearly two months so I would not forget to write this review and spare the next person! My friend treated us as part of a girlfriend's weekend while I was visiting Atlanta in August. You know when you have a massage, you are hoping the time will go by slowly. Well, after staring at the water stained dingy ceiling for 90 minutes, I could not wait to get up and get dressed. The two ladies-the ONLY TWO who work there-were very nice. However, this place is LOW BROW. My friend and I got our massages together and after about 30 minutes of listening to the same song playing with loud static (sounded like a scratched up skipping CD!) my friend finally said: "CAN YOU PLEASE ADDRESS THAT MUSIC." We were both laughing because it was really incredulous that they kept on with our massages as if they could not hear it. One of them went out front to the owner to tell him and then came back to the room. This awful skipping, static sounding -so called Soothing music-continued throughout our massage. The owner (totally full of it) at the front desk simply smiled and said it was an internet issue and that the company promised to come and fix it. (Yeah, right!) I asked him why not just install an audio system instead of the same looping internet music as other upscale salons do? To which he replied: Oh, good idea. They also ave no water display with lemons or cucumbers. Instead they handed us both a plastic bottle of water! And to finish off the visit....the bathroom has old green scenic wallpaper that is literally peeling and hanging off the wall in one place! And for that experience ladies and gentlemen......when I told the owner of our less than stellar experience he took a whopping......wait for it....$6 off my bill of $176.00!! That included my $20 tip because I actually felt sorry for the two ladies who did our massages. Again, they were very kind. When I tell you the best spa experience I've had in a while. My spa day was a birthday present from my daughter. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a warm welcome. My massage was breathtaking and I could have sworn that I had an outer body experience. Whitlin was magnificent. Very attentive and gentle. I also had the facial and that experience was awesome as well. The staff that works here was very friendly and new what they were doing. Hands down best birthday present ever. I will be making regular appointments and look forward to going back. The Sauna was HOT!!! LOL Also, they are very dedicated to keeping you safe from COVID exposure. I have had many massages, but it has been a very long time since I had a fantastic one. I had a half hour of foot reflexology, then an hour massage. It was wonderful!! The BEST massage I have ever had is at Life Day Spa. I love it so much that I've now made getting a massage here a priority twice monthly. I have degenerative disc disease (lower back & hip), arthritis in my fingers, and a knee problem. Nothing has worked better than a good deep tissue massage by Ms. Widline. She is gifted. She doesn't take shortcuts. I get a full one hour deep body massage along with stretching. I am renewed when I leave. I am experiencing results. You should definitely try it. I just started posting reviews recently but feel this one is really important. The location isn't much to look at but the quality of Whitlyns massages is amazing. I found this place about 3 years ago after getting a Groupon. Other therapists have always tried to sell me a package of massages after just one session, I've also had them ignore my problem areas( lower back and shoulders) and not pay attention to requests of pressure, etc. Whitlyn is amazing, I know that working out my problem areas is tough on her but she couldn't be happier to see me every few months. She remembers my name is flexible with my schedule. I went to Life Day Spa for a deep tissue massage. Because I haven't took on for while. When I was talking about one of my friend over heard me on the phone. She told me about Life Day Spa. She said they are very good. Go there and then tell me about it when you done . I told her ok l'll so if I don't like it you have to give me my money back and I was so serious about that.
