Horrible Dentist. Only cares about recommending unnecessary procedures so that he can make more money off you. Left not only feeling like the cleaning I received was awful, but also frustrated with the way he was able to rip me off. Beware, Dr. Leyfeman is out to get your money and do procedures you do not need. I was going to him for years and trusted him until he wanted to fill cavities I did not have. He told me I had 3 cavities which I did not believe him and stopped him from doing the work. The last few times I went to him he kept wanting to do more work on my mouth than I felt I needed. I went to another Dentist in the area and told me I did not have any cavities all my teeth were strong, plus the cleanings they did were not done very well. read more

Very disappointed and believed this practice gouged my son. My son who is 20 went to him for cleaning and xrays and was told he had 2 superficial cavities. I told him to go ahead an get them done. He had no Novocaine as the fillings were superficial. He's also not an expert in how to look at costs and budgets yet but is at a level where he can get things done. Cost for a superficial filling (resin not amalgam) was $295. Have always know fillings cost $125 to $250. We called around to other dentists and was given $150 to $300 for the new type filling. We felt this was over the top and I called the office and talked to Liz. All she kept saying was the price was comparable to others. I told her not from what we researched. She said Dr or her would call back. 1. no call back. 2. Pricing should have been given to my son beforehand. I would have said no and shifted to another dentist. read more

Zero stars. Dr. Leyferman lied about my husband & I having cavities. We experienced unnecessary pain to fill non-existent cavities. So much pain I actually screamed, cut my visit short & cancelled all our future family appointments. He also broke my husband's tooth in attempting to "fill" it & his work on my tooth degraded in under a year. It cost thousands of dollars to repair his shoddy workmanship. If you stop reading here this was a good summary of his malpractice but the following is our story: My husband & I moved to the area from Mercer County a few years ago but had continued to visit our former amazing dentist Modern Dental Care 40 minutes away. Last year we finally decided to try a dentist in the area. Costly mistake. I have beautiful teeth and always have. Every dentist always says how strong, straight and white they are. My husband & I expected to just have a regular cleaning and be back in 6 months. We found it odd that we were both told to come back a few weeks later to fill multiple cavities. I am in my 40s & have had only one cavity in my life. I told Dr. Leyferman this but he said he could "see a lot of fillings" in my mouth and that I had 4 cavities; two on the left side and two on the right. I should never have come back after these egregious lies but I returned & he said he would not be filling all the cavities that day. I would have to come back a third time because it was simply too much work. That was news to me & I then suspected he was unscrupulous & wanted to get us in the chair as many times as possible to keep billing our (very good) dental insurance. He used so much force pressing into my head that I yelled at him twice to finish so I could leave. My teeth were no longer aligned on the left side when I bit down but I just wanted to run out of there & knew I'd get it fixed later. The work he did on one tooth began to fall apart & cause me pain less than a year later. At the front desk I cancelled my husband's and my future appointments & told them not to contact us again. The lady at the front desk tried to talk me out of it twice which I found very odd. Less than a month later, my husband's tooth broke. It was the same tooth Dr. Leyferman insisted on filling at my husband's cleaning appointment. He filled 4 or 5 that day. He also said he needed 10 cavities filled, plus a special deep cleaning & it would be broken up over multiple sessions. My husband's teeth are not as good as mine but he'd had some work done on them in the last couple of years so we thought they were pretty good. We now know this was nothing more than a money grab & insurance fraud. Traumatized, we didn't go back to the dentist until a year later, in January 2020. We went back to Modern Dental Care where THEY FOUND NO CAVITIES IN ANY OF OUR TEETH. I asked if they "saw a lot of fillings in my mouth" & the hygienist looked at me strangely & slowly said "No". My husband asked if he needed a "special deep cleaning" at his appointment & the hygienist laughed & said they were already pretty clean. They repaired my tooth that Dr. Leyferman ruined and the damage to my husband's tooth is ongoing but even with insurance will cost us several hundred dollars out of pocket. PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS GREEDY, FRAUDULENT, DEGENERATE SADIST RUIN YOUR PERFECTLY GOOD TEETH. Moving forward we will trust our instincts more & get a second opinion when things sound off. read more

I love going to this office... the staff at the front desk is great( Liz)...My favorite person there is the blonde assistant.. shes as gentle as can be... I've seen her with the kids that come in and she is the best with them and by the time they come out they aren't even crying... Keep her there shes the best that you guys have had in years!!! read more

Been going there for years no complaints. My child is horrendous when it comes to getting dental work done and Dr Leyferman is extremely patient. When I had a dental emergency I was fit in right away. Weekend hours would be useful. read more

Not a good experience at all and was surprisingly a well established patient of the practice. Dr. Leyferman can't admit to his mistakes. And this mistake cost me big time not only in dollars and cents and a multitude of appointments with specialists but in terrible pain and aggravation for almost two months. The manager, Liz bills insurance companies for teeth that haven't been worked on, not even touched by the doctor! The practice should be called Life Rip Off Dentistry. There is no sense of family there. Be careful because it's all a facade at that office. There are so many good dentists in the area. I have had a lot of dental problems over the years and have dealt with individual dentists to large groups. I find Dr, Leyferman to be one of the most proficient. What I like is that he takes the time to explain everything and any options for treatment. His staff is always friendly and Liz at the front does her best to you feel at ease and relaxed.
