There was a self-checkin in kiosk where you can also load your ID and insurance card information., which was a great alternative. I was called to complete the checkin at the desk (staff were really pleasant) and it was less than 5 minutes between that and being called for my procedure. The mammo technician Bonnie explained every step during the process and asked how I was doing throughout. She was awesome! I used to be fearful of the discomfort of this procedure, but with a gentle technician such as Bonnie, it was a relief indeed. All in all a great place for getting a mammo with staff that provide care and compassion.

I was quoted a 45 min - 1 hour wait for an x-ray, but ended up waiting for almost 2 hours. I asked if it would be better to make an appointment for x-rays, but the ladies at the front said you just end up in the general queue so there is no point in scheduling.

First statement ever received from them, no invoice received. It didn't credit the insurance payments that were sent. It miscredited my out of pocket payment as an insurance payment. I used EOB and was proactive to pay. When talking to the rep I was told the hospital billing isn't their issue. Then why is on the statement you trying collect money for. The bill is paid in full between insurance payouts of over 4000 and my copays and they still want money. Based on the other reviews about immediate collections I am awaiting to see if they get it fixed. I was told to call back in two weeks, after the due date. Rep had a piss poor attitude that sours the experience of an other words good surgery and surgeon. EDIT: for reply from owner. I provided all the details to the rep including EOB benefits paid and dates paid. If you want the details talk to your rep as I have already given it.EDIT: I had the insurance company contact the "billing" department and they said the invoice was sent to the billing dept for review. The insurance company states I have no liability because the office forgot to send in pre-authorization. Their loss not mine, " According to the providers contract advanced notification was required for the service but was not received. Therefore, the applicable administrative reimbursement reduction was applied and deducted from the provider payment. According to the providers contract the patient may not be billed for the amount of the administrative reimbursement reduction," So to reiterate, they screwed up and then are trying to screw me. 1-star now for leaving the insurance company rep on hold and not resolving it when contacted by the insurance company directly telling them they were breaking their contract." STAY AWAY if you can. EDIT: 3 calls- no resolution. supervisor will not contact me. 3 months no refund still, 3 MRI's, 2 CT Scans and now 4 doctor visits went to other places because of this money they will not give back. However, I can genuinely say it was a pleasure because of their incredible staff. Sharon and Sandy at the front desk are two of the kindest and most welcoming individuals I've ever encountered--not just in medical care, but in customer service overall. Sharon, the tech, was equally compassionate and professional, and Mariah, who prepped me for the MRI, was just as wonderful. The team at this facility is truly exceptional, and I can't commend them enough. I'm not sure where they were hired from, but their previous employers lost some outstanding people! Thank you, again!

There also seems to be an issue with them saying things that never actually happened did. Back in April, I scheduled an MRI for one part of the body *with contrast*, sent an order over specifically for that part of the body, only to have Washington Open MRI mess up entirely. I got a call on Thursday saying that they had a question for my provider and for my insurance. The Washington Open MRI staff claimed that they would reach out to both. It seems they did not. They claimed that they'd need to cancel my insurance if they didn't hear back about an authorization. So, I called my insurance company for authorization. My insurance plan doesn't require authorization for this procedure, and moreover never received an authorization request. The staff claimed that they initially scheduled my appointment at Owings Mills and then would have to reschedule because a doctor who could oversee contrast quit. No doctor who oversaw contrast ever worked at Owings Mills. A doctor at another facility quit, and they shouldn't have even scheduled someone with a contrast order at Owings Mills. But, instead of being honest, they lied about it. The staff claimed it was my fault that I was scheduled for the wrong procedure. I told them that the order was in an email, I called for an MRI, and there was no way it was my fault. They later admitted that new schedulers weren't trained well. But again, no one takes responsibility and tries to resolve the issue. It's just someone else's fault. Had I actually gone through with the procedure, my insurance wouldn't have covered it since it would've been a duplicate of another MRI.

I was told it would be 30 mins long and to come in a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. The time is 2:30pm having left my job to come here on my lunch break - arriving 10 minutes early at 1:50pm. I am being told it will be another 10 mins before they can begin the scan. Had I know it would be nearly an hour before starting what should have started a whole lunch break, I would have chosen any other location but this one. Good thing they weren't busy today. Who knows what this place might look like with another person before me.

It seems to always reap of stale urine or of a nursing home that is not clean. There are plentu of parking spaces but not available near the door if diability spots were needed. As I was walking towards the front dooe there was a lady outside on the phone, I really didnt pay her much attention as I did a Security officer. I walked inside, signed in and had a seat. Well this day was not the day I needed to be here. The lady outside on the phone is now inside and arguing with another family member. The other family is now calling to ger others to come to the location all while the other is cursing and speaking of "draggging" and "knocking" all out. The Security nor the staff intervened until the family member that spoke of assaulting the others called him over. The security guard asked them to stop but other patrons like myself had to be subjected to the vulgar and perhaps fear of the unknown. I was called to the back. Had my service done and out. The Security officer was not any good. Go to another if you can.

The second person had to ask all over again. Got personal about my health issues. When I inquired why they were usurping doctor's orders they again talked about coding. It took nearly 40 minutes to schedule an ultra sound for 2 areas. One test is NPO the other I drink 32 oz. That took 5 minutes to confirm that npo and 32 oz did not conflict. Unfortunately they have a near monopoly.

I haven't been to Advanced in years and have a $0 balance with them. They asked me for my ID and Insurance Card and made copies. Then told me the Ultrasound I was having would leave an "estimated" $143 left to be paid after Insurance and how was I going to be paying that today. I told her I have $0 copay and my Cigna was an 80/20 plan and I get an EOB (explanation of benefits) after it's processed and I'll pay the balance. She said even though it wasn't processed yet and the scan wasn't even done yet I would have to pay the estimated responsibility. I said I get paid tomorrow can I pay half today $72 and the other half tomorrow. "No, absolutely not, You have to pay the full balance and if insurance covers more of the procedure we'll credit you back the difference". I said you guys can't work with me at all? She said "yes, you can apply for Care Credit card to use". So I cancelled and left. Now they are texting and emailing me several times a day about rescheduling. Advanced Radiology is complete sh*t show, their front desk staff is rude, they are NOT patient friendly. They will not work with you and don't care at all about the people coming to see them. When I called to talk to them about what happened I spoke with women in Pakistan that barely knew English. I was transferred twice and they didn't understand what I was telling them. One said the $143 was my copay. I told her my card said I have $0 copay. Please do yourself a favor, if you need imaging done, stay away from Advanced Radiology, especially the one at Franklin Square, they are beyond awful.
