I spoke to Jim on the phone to book the service, and he was really friendly and helpful. He said his wife Rose would be in touch with a quote after I texted some pictures of the room. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Their work was beautiful and they were punctual and polite. All of that is great. I'm glad they could fit us in!

Highly recommend! This is my second summer using this company and I have been completely satisfied with a very clean house. I have used 2 other companies in the past 4 years, one small and one very large and I have had the best overall consistently clean and attention to detail experience with Life Maid Simple. All the staff I have met have been courteous and willing to accommodate my specific details with a positive attitude which is so refreshing! I have weekly beach rentals and they have done a fantastic job. They respond quickly with any communication. I have very specific ways I like the cottage cleaned, beds made with linens or without depending on the renter, etc. and the owner does her best to make that happen by providing the same cleaners and taking pictures to refer to, or taking notes. Because typically 2 or 3 people are cleaning at the same time, minor overlooks have happened...I am very picky and expect meticulous....and I make comments on the review or let Kate the owner know. The next week it is taken care of. I like the products they use, and they also will use a specific product if requested. I like supporting a small company, and Kate also does cleanings, so not just a manager, she is in the trenches too! I have not had a problem with cancellations or changes, their reliability is crucial to Saturday rentals. In addition, if they notice anything stained, damaged or a problem, they let me know right away...fortunately a rare occurrence. I am giving them the highest rating and would encourage anyone who likes a meticulously clean house to be very specific in what you want cleaned so Kate can give you a quote that reflects the time they need to make your house sparkle! read more

I am very unhappy with my experience with Life Maid Simple and the owner, Kate. This company appears to be very professionally presented with their website ect but the service I received was very sub-par. The people sent to my home were far from being professional cleaning staff. They showed up in an unmarked car with no uniforms or anything else that showed what company they were from. That in of itself was a warning sign. They then proceeded to spend half a day "cleaning" but not actually getting anything done. The owner never came by to inspect the work being done and when I asked her if she would be coming by she seemed totally confused as to why I would ask her that. You would think that checking the work of your employees would be the norm for a so-called professional cleaning service, especially on a big job like this but I guess Kate doesn't think so. I called her office to complain about the sub-par work that was done and she didn't bother to call me back until the next day and at this point I had already re-cleaned the place myself. She was defensive and not willing to work with me at all concerning the terrible job her cleaners did and the huge inconvenience she caused me after I had to re-clean the place myself. To put it bluntly Life Maid Simple did a crap job cleaning,period. Their customer service sucks. The owner, Kate, doesn't seem to have a clue on how to manage/supervise her staff at all. As busy parents of 2 young children, my husband and I do not always have time to work full time, clean our house and keep up with other daily duties. We decided to look for a home cleaning service and came across Life Maid Simple and decided to give them a try. Their website was easy to navigate and making an appointment was easy. The standard cleaning package also allows upgrades if specific areas of your home needed additional attention. Our bathrooms needed a good sanitization and a good cleaning, so we opted to upgrade the services in the bathroom. The 2 team members (Cassie and Lakin) arrived within the window of time provided and after introducing themselves got right to work. They were very professional and answered any questions we had. The team brought their own cleaning supplies including a HEPA vacuum. The team did stay past the estimated service time, but they were working quite hard to make sure everything was up to the quality of service the company stands by. Overall, we were extremely happy we decided to try them and our bathrooms haven't looked this good since we moved into our home. A major bonus is this allowed us to spend more time with my children. Excellent, professional, thorough and prompt. I've used Life Maid Simple's services for two months now, and I couldn't be more pleased. Heather, who I spoke to on the phone a few times for scheduling matters, was pleasant, professional, friendly and does everything she can to accomodate my needs. The website and booking process is simple and user friendly, and super efficient. I've had two different teams of cleaners thus far: Lindsay and Tiffany on one occasion, and Cheri and Lakin on the other. Both were amazing. They came promptly on time, with all the equipment needed, worked fast, cleaned thoroughly, and, in short, were perfect. I'd especially like to compliment Cheri and Lakin, who went above and beyond. (but Lindsay and Tiffany were amazing too). It is worth noting that LMS cleaners use "clean" cleaning products - no harsh chemicals - and take all the right covid precautions. I highly recommend Life Maid Simple. This is money well spent for those of you who are too busy or overwhelmed to clean on your own, or who just want a break from housework. Life Maid Simple has truly made my life so much simpler!! I had a move-in cleaning of the new house I bought. Let me tell you, it started out as the kind of house you wore your shoes in! NOW: shoes off at the door! The price wasn't too high, and definitely not for an (almost) 8-hour job! It's well worth it for them to be so kind to my fur babies and work around tons of dog toys! (The first thing to be moved into the new house!) I'm pretty picky, and there were a few things that I requested they come back and re-clean- their satisfaction guarantee is actually a GUARANTEE! The ladies came back and apologized for not meeting my standards- my husband should take a lesson! It was a simple miscommunication during booking and they didn't know to clean the basement level. Needless to say, Alissa and Kate (the customer service pros) made sure I wasn't charged for the fix and even offered me a discount on my next cleaning. Stephanie and Monica arrived on time and worked tirelessly for the next six hours doing the deep clean that I had requested. Stephanie cleaned the microwave and oven, all the woodwork in the kitchen including baseboards, washed and shined the counters, and washed the tile floor. Monica cleaned the bathroom; tub, sink, toilet, and all the woodwork and the tile floor. She then cleaned the two bedrooms, dusted, vacuumed, washed all the woodwork including window trim and door jams... shined the cabinetry and even arranged some books for me. Both ladies washed the interior windows in my dining and living room.. dusted my sideboard and vacuumed my carpets. In the finished side of my basement, they vacuumed and washed the floor, washed the woodwork and vacuumed the cat hair off my steps. Before they left for the day, they washed all my oak flooring with Murphy's Oil soap. They were professional, friendly and were the best housekeepers I've ever had. Just had my cleaning done today by Steph, Syretta and Laura (I have bi-weekly cleanings). This crew has been to my home before and I must say I am always so incredibly happy with the work they do. They leave my home meticulously cleaned, each time. You can tell they take their time to address the needs of each room in the house (which is typically a lot of dog fur as we have three pups) and I really appreciate the attention to detail they provide (even down to re-lining my trash bins in the bathrooms!). It is an absolutely pleasure to welcome them into my home to clean every two weeks and they always leave it in a much better state then they found it. I have had a rotation of teams come through my home over the past year and I must say that I find a consistent quality of work in any group that comes through. Life Maid Simple has been the best cleaning service we've ever had. This summer was the 3rd year they have cleaned my rental property (2 houses) between weekly guests and they do nothing less than a fantastic job. We are very specific when it comes to how we expect the houses to be after each cleaning and they consistently perform to our expectations. It is clear they care about their work and don't take shortcuts like many others do. Kate is pleasant, accommodating and always open to suggestions or special requests. She is absolutely a pleasure to work with. Over the years, I have used no less than 10 cleaning services at my full-time residence which is out of state. Nope. We partnered with LMS for a few years, staff changed (turn over) too frequently as did rates. Some staff were great and others were really bad. Wood floors would often be left soaking wet, random stuff would just not be cleaned at all some cleanings. The rates are set by the manager, despite her being at the house on several occasions we were recently given a $46 increase, stating we had rooms not included. We could see them within our work list but we were told despite being listed they had not actually charged us but they are now. They also decreased the teams from 3 to 2 staff and said the extended time required we paid more. Not sure how them changing staffing is on us but it was so we parted ways. Bait and switch, lots of chasing for incomplete work. read more

This was our first time using this service. We had been given a gift card For Christmas last year. My husband usually does all the household cleaning due to my health and he does and awesome job. To have someone else come in, he was skeptical. But, we are changing our decor for the season and usually do a deep cleaning. Lindsey and Maddie were personable, professional and thorough. They were engaging and kind. I have chemical sensitivities and the Products they used did not bother me at all. I hired this company to help me do a spring cleaning. Was impressed that the people listened to what I wanted and did not question as to why I wanted things done a certain way. They performed all of the items they said they would do in thorough and timely way. I had several people give nice comments on the look of the house and everything was moved was put back to the original position when the job was done. I realize that email is the way business often communicate, but I would have preferred to have a direct person to person call for some of my questions. They are super-responsive to things that come up, like when I had to cancel at the last minute because several members of my family woke up with the flu on the day they were supposed to come. Life Maid Simple did an excellent job cleaning a very difficult and challenging rental property which was completely trashed by the college student renters. Just to get to the job of cleaning they had to remove bags and bags of trash left by the renters. They cleaned very thoroughly and alerted me to the issues that existed. I paid $1,800!!!!! for this highway robbery job!!! I had to pay an extra $200 of my mistake thinking it was on a different day. I have been upset all this time and can not be shy and hold back anymore!!! The cleaning was horrible. I am putting my house up for sale and hesitantly because if pressure from friends that hiring what I thought were professionals was the way to go. I even had a long discussion with the owner about how I wanted the stairs going to the finished basement be vacuumed. They did not show that any of the stairs were cleaned. I paid to have the finished part if the basement walls washed. There was noticeable dirt on the walls. In one spot there was some drips coming down from the ceiling tiles next to the walls that were supposed to be washed. These drips were from mice I had in the basement. These same drips, and dirty basement walls, guess what??? Yes. You are correct!!! The mice pee and dirty walls were all the same!!! I do not believe they even qere downstairs!!! Now let us continue the """DEEP CLEAN""" upstairs. It's interesting how certain areas were plainly missed. For example, the sides only inside the over were clean. But I guess I forgot to tell the owner that I wanted ALL of the oven, all four sides, even where the oven has curvy areas that even the bottom of the curvy area needs to be cleaned too!!! Plus the door parts also need to be ckeaned!!! I guess I forgot to mention about the oven just may need some grease removed...oh! I think I forgot to use the word S-C-R-U-B-B-E-D so I spelled it out!!! I have a wood stove with fake logs. When I left, it was full of dust around the bottom of this stove. And of course, when I got home, I sat down on my couch and kept looking at the bunch of dust still under the stove. To be the fair one, the ???cleaners??? asked me if I wanted to look around but I am a bit shy about checking other peoples work especially it I just hired them. So I just said no and how nice it smelled. So they left. I started looking around and so did my Real Estate Agent. She and others were so happy that I had hired ???PROFESSIONALS??? to do this job. They were so very impressed at my paying $1,600 (was really $1,800 because of my mistake with the date). I was so proud of myself for cheapo me paying this price! My Real Estate Agent was also proud of me for checking the references and thought that I was in for a treat when we returned to my house. The only good thing to go home to was the nice scent they used. So I sat and looked at the dirt under my fake wood stove. The dust underneath it was just so noticeable. Then I heard my Real Estate Agent start mentioning details about how this and that were not done. Then I went in my glass enclosed room and looked around. There are 6 windows with 6 window sills. Two of the 6 sills were full of dirt. The rest were done. Sort of like the stove where parts, like the back of the oven was not cleaned. Maybe they were in a hurry, at least the person who cleaned the stove and the glass room window sills. Oh yes!!! Let us NOT forget about the icing on the dirty dusty cake!!! When I asked how long such a large. detailed, extreme deep cleaning that cost me all my Walmart money for half a year would take, the owner told me...are you ready, just wait, can you guess what he said, how many hours of toiling, vacuuming, scrubbing, lifting, pulling. rearranging, ringing out dirty cloths, pouring out bottles of chemical concocksions on my dirty home furnishings would take????? One hour...Are you nuts? Two hours??? Oh, did I say there were, at least at the beginning of thus massive deeply deep cleaning three individuals doing this job but just at the start of thus undertaking...do you believe, now just take a guess, you can do it...three long deep cleaning hours of back & arms & legs & and don't forget the toe breaking hours of work...NO. NO. NO!!! But,,,, you are getting closer...now think hard but not too hard...four hours....Well that's half way there...5 hours.... Okay...HERE WE GO! He said it would take between 4-1/2 to 5 hours to complete the deep cleaning!!! NOW THAT'S A WHOLE LOTTA CLEANING!!! i never realized what a very big dirty mess my house was! I was expecting a perfectly, sparkling clean house, just like the owner and myself went over!!! What a lucky person I was to have learned of all the great 5-star reviews, as it would take up to 4-1/2 to 5 hours to clean my very messy house!!! None of my friends were at all surprised!!! As they told me that it was, after all, a DEEP cleaning!!! Well, I thought, just how deep could one go, how much were they going to clean??? Would my faucets shine like the sun? Would the soup bowls in my DEEP CLEAN cupboards bowl me over? Would my clean toilets sing deeply when flushing? The owner said others came to help them finish as they were done early.

I just had Ligia and another woman come to my new apartment to do a deep cleaning of just the…read morebathroom and kitchen. I paid an extra 90 dollars for my fridge and stove. I had to leave for work so I paid her and left but was shocked when I got home. I posted a picture of the tub and the right half is what I did after she left. The stove was barely touched other than a quick wipe down. The window sills and any fixtures weren't touched. There was actually a dead beetle left right out on the bathroom window sill. They didn't even touch the tub by the looks of it. I have now done it all myself and asked her for at least half my money back but she just kept talking over me and saying god bless you at the end!! Worst experience I've ever had with any service.

This business actually does a really good job cleaning when they show up. I have personally seen…read moretheir work at lofts in Providence. My husband scheduled them to clean a property located in West Warwick that we were selling today. Lidia said they'd be there at 2pm today which was perfect. At 1:58pm we received a text saying they couldn't make it because they were in Attleboro with a flat tire. I understand things happen, but since they were supposed to be at our property at 2pm they were going to be at least 30 minutes late if they were in Attleboro at 1:58pm with or without a flat tire. A simple text notifying us that you'd be late would have been nice. Offering to come tomorrow doesn't help us as the property was being sold today as well as the anticipated 12"-18" of snow that is expected. This was explained in previous correspondence with Lidia. I find their business practice to be extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone if you actually want them to show up and clean!
