I am a victim of this institution. Eagle Ranch likes to portray itself as an extensive care program…read morefor troubled teens but it's far from that and anyone who has any experiences here would tell you the same thing. Eagle Ranch Academy is nothing but a scam for parents who are having a hard time understanding their kid and how the world has changed since their time. (Remember everything that happens between the ages 12-18 is how the brain wires itself to respond to emotions and making risky decisions.) My parents were paying $7500 a month for two years, for treatment and care that didn't exist. While others were paying just $1000. I'll admit looking back at my teenage years I wasn't the best son, but this camp definitely caused more problems than it solved. I turned 22 this January and I live across the country from my family that lives in California. I am only now starting to talk with them again. They sent me away because I was 14 years old sneaking out to go to party's, smoking weed, and would occasionally get in fights with my parents that sometimes would escalate to yelling and objects being broken. It feel though that if I had just had an EXPERIENCED THERAPIST (the experience doesn't come from college) that actually wanted to help and could recognize the triggers, signs and had ways of touching on the topic with in person sessions a lot of my family's problems could have been resolved without this money hungry hell hole. During my time at Eagle Ranch we were starved every weekend because of how cheap this place is ran not to mention all the food is bought from Sysco and the weekday cook would take anything of quality home with her and if you ever got caught trying to get more food to eat they'd call it an intervention and serve you even less food just for being hungry. (I remember being 105 pounds and getting tunnel vision every time they'd make us workout.) This place also has a notorious history of not doing background checks and hiring criminals especially the ones who happen to be friends with everyone there already. Here's something that the locals there won't tell you. The hill across from this facility is known as "suicide hill." If you care to hear other people's experiences please look at the breaking code silence website and search for eagle ranch academy.

We truly did not know how "normal" felt. We lived in fear that due to poor choices our son was on a path to lose his life. Not to mention the brutal impact it had on our daughter. Thanks to ARA we now know normal and it feels GREAT! We sent a troubled teen and got back an incredible young man. Not only is our house not continuously in an uproar but, due to getting ahead academically at ARA, he was able to graduate high school as a Junior. Seeing him walk across that stage was AMAZING! In fact, whether you are a tattoo person or not. On our son's 18th Birthday he got a tattoo and on it is says "Ashcreek May 5th 2017" which is the day we sent him to ARA. It also has a cross worked in to it. He chose this because he said ARA saved his life and it is when he started believing in God again. Can't beat that! Needless to say, we 100% recommend ARA to any family with a struggling teenaged boy. Tracy B

The boys have very little supervision and the staff turnover is hideous. There is no consistency in their therapy. It is a holding cell for boys. That is it. Our son was no angel but after paying over $75,000 we saw no improvement. We met the owners once and never heard from them again. The therapists are a joke. Honestly stay clear of this place.

You had others that were PAID instructors of the program that would LEAVE the class all together they were to instruct to attend their own classes at Utah Tech LOL. I asked questions and was told to go look things up on Youtube. I asked for the HEAD instructor to spend some time with me during open classroom on Fridays and was denied. I have attained an MBA from a brick and mortar and needed to move into something different and marketable to this area as I was stuck here taking care of and elderly parent and really wanted this program to work but the reality was this was easily the worst led programs I ever saw, complete and flippant fraud by the instructors to take their salary and DO nothing but work hard. My feelings on this program is simple, if graphic design is natural and you are already quite proficient with the Adobe Suite and I mean PROFICIENT on many professional levels, you can do this program and get through it. If you REALLY want instruction... MOVE ON to ANY program other than this. Program refused to offer any refund or apology for their utter lack of misleading outright go nowhere program. This school didn't even spell my first name right on my name badge? SERIOUSLY??? It's not that hard??
