I almost felt like I was being guided through some yoga floor exercises at times. The room I was in was cobbled together out of curtains, and was bright through the opaque window shades. It was very private, but not as dim as I'm used to. The massage bed was heated which is a really nice touch! He talked the entire massage. I laid there for an hour analyzing why he would actually think I would enjoy knowing his ex lived somewhere in some remote part of Texas. Ok- so I went with my partner, and I'm not talking about my business parter, and we have matching rings. He flat out asked me during the massage that he noticed we had matching rings and that he thought it was hot. I replied they were BFF rings because quite frankly I was, at that point, completely mortified by this person. I love deep tissue massage, but ashiatsu takes it to the next level. Instead of using just 2 hands, the therapist uses 2 hands plus 2 feet at the same time. This does mean there is a little less hands on time than regular massages, because she needs to get up and down the table, but it's well worth it. Brandee's client interaction during the massage session was perfect. She was friendly and gave a thorough explanation of what to expect. Throughout the session, she regularly checked in to see how the pressure was, and made the entire experience soothing and relaxing. Upon arrival, they offer tea while you wait and provide water and candy when you leave, but other than that, they don't do extreme decor, music, or aromatherapy like some other salons, but I personally enjoy the good quality massage at a decent price over an expensive Massage just for the aesthetic.
