I chose this location due to the close proximity to my home and overall convenience. I became a bit frustrated when I initially called in for some information on pricing and availability of units, the lady who answered was friendly but I never received a call back from the manager as she promised. Since I needed a unit immediately, I popped by the office a few days later and was offered great customer service, clear information on pricing and policies, and made a $10 deposit on a 10X10 unit. I pay around $115 for a 3rd floor unit (no heating/ac) which also allows for package and shipment deliveries and access to the facility from 9am - 9pm. If you opt to pay another $10 a month, you can have access for 24/7 too. The nice thing about this place is you don't have to commit to any complicated contracts as it is billed monthly. Easy breezy! You pay a $25 administrative fee when you commit to renting but this also includes a lock with 3 sets of keys. Overall, this location appears safe and accommodating which are pretty much my basic requirements for a storage unit. TIP: They sell boxes here. Oodles of them. I emailed back and forth with owners Robert and Angela to narrow down specifics, and they were helpful and prompt with each response. I received email reminders leading up to our move, and a phone call the morning of our move when the truck was 15 minutes out. Robert and Robert (or Rob and Bert!) arrived right on time and ready to work. They did a quick walk-thru of the space with us, where we identified which items were going where (we had to stop at a storage unit before the home we were moving into). After that, they packaged all of our items with care, and safely loaded everything onto the truck! It took around four hours to complete our move, and at around $800 total, it was well worth the price. The two Roberts were friendly, professional, and fast while still moving larger pieces carefully. We would definitely hire A&R Moving Solutions again, and highly recommend them to anyone in need of moving services in Greater Nashville.

Kimberli (one of the owners) is exceptional with communication, and every member of the crew was kind, professional, and extremely careful with our belongings. However, after they left I found several issues. They dragged the tub through a tight turn, which left a mark and gouge on my hardwood floor. This also chipped the porcelain on the tub rim. I told them the tub had to be on its side to go through the bathroom door. They tried it the other way and gouged the door casing on both sides. At some point, they chipped the porcelain on the base. The owner was apologetic and promised to send someone to look at the damage. No one ever called. I fixed the chips, scratches, and gouges myself. They charged $500 for this project and kept telling me what a favor they were doing me by not charging more.

It was a little upsetting to see how much work was left, and we were too exhausted to do it. I started calling professional movers to see if there was any chance we could get someone out immediately. i was lucky to call Move-It-Moving. Tremaine said he could be there with a crew in 20 minutes. The job involved moving everything up a flight of stairs (they were in a basement apartment) and the uHaul wasn't very close to the apartment door. It was quite a lot of work, and to make it even more complicated, it was pouring rain. Tremaine came right over, and within 90 minutes, had the entire 15 foot U-Haul packed front to back, top to bottom. They saved the day! Everything was packed with care, and arrived safely in Chicago. Thank you for accommodating our emergency,for your professionalism, and your kindness! I highly recommend Move-It Moving to anyone in the Nashville area!

I recommend that anyone considering this company read the owner's replies to poor Yelp reviews. You can see the amount of respect he has for customers. I reached out to Journeyman in a pinch on a Friday afternoon, after the moving company I had scheduled with goofed up their schedule and texted that they had no crew on Saturday to unload the 2 28' ABF trailers that were sitting in my driveway. The salesman said he had a crew in my area he could reach out to, and he said he would call me back. He called back shortly and let me know that they were available on Friday; in fact they'd had a cancellation in the area. Perfect! 3 guys showed up, and they worked their tails off. They unloaded 2 full trailers in about 5 hours. They even helped to move a refrigerator out of the house into the garage, and they assisted with hooking up the washer and dryer. Great crew. The problem came when it was time to pay. The owner said that I owed him 2 hours of travel time. I told him that I was not told about any travel time. I pulled up the quote from their text (picture attached; my personal info redacted by AI, no other changes made) where it shows estimated travel time of 0 hours. I sent a screenshot of that to the owner. He said "I don't know what you're trying to show me." I refused to pay for the travel time, and he did not charge me. However, he charged me a 4% credit card fee. That seemed high, so I researched it. Kentucky state law mandates a limit of 3% to any card processing fee passed on to a customer. I texted him and asked for a refund. He did so, with a screenshot of the refund. He did not apologize or have anything to say. Also, Kentucky state law mandates that the fee be disclosed on the final receipt. My receipt does not reflect that charge. I've filed a complaint with the Kentucky Attorney General for both of these items, which are a flagrant violation of state law. At the end of the day, the job got done. The crew was great, and they came through on short notice. Just keep an eye on your charges if you go with Journeyman, and know your rights.
