My husband and I have been members of Life Time Burlington for about 3 years now. We've enjoyed our time here for the most part - we've looked past the ever-increasing fees, the abysmal parking lot situation due to them oversubscribing memberships, the covering up of their outlets to try to get people to pay extra money to use the business center, etc. But today we received an email that they're discontinuing their cycle program entirely, which I attend 3 days every week, in order to replace it with some trendy new solidcore-like class. Finally I've realized that this business absolutely does not care whatsoever about their existing members - only what money grab they can come up with next to reach into the pockets of newcomers. I'm honestly devastated that I'll now have to leave this club to find a new cycle studio as I've grown to love my routine and the trainers I've regularly worked with, but with the astronomical fees and the blatant disregard for existing members' wants and needs, it's unfortunately time for us to move on, and I would encourage anyone reading this to look elsewhere for your fitness journey.

I would give it three starts for that but this is why I'm giving it a 1. 1. I booked the class on mind body it said "pass available" During the middle of class Jenn was passed a note and told me to see the desk after class. Apparently my passes were expired but the app and the two studios still let me sign up without a problem, showing that I still had classes left to use! 2. The front desk woman was very nice as we walked through the steps that could have went wrong. She asked me for my credit card, I declined saying"I wouldn't have come if I didn't think I had a class available" seeing these classes are about $28 for a drop in. She understood and she said she would figure it out with the other studio tomorrow morning. 3. Morning comes and I get a call from the coach Jenn. She immediately asks me for my credit card info after I already informed her of the conversation stated above. She proceeds to tell me if I don't give her the card into she will just get it from the other studio I have been to. At that point I had to state very clearly and strongly I do not approve or condone her taking my credit card information . She then CONTINUES to say that someone has to pay for the visit. I tell her I understand but that will not be me seeing it was either due to; the app, her studio or the other studio. 4. I am also in the business of fitness and I have NEVER once seen this kind of pushy-ness or poor customer service. Believe me this has happened to me being the coach and I chalk it up because I want a happy customer and I fix the problem so the malfunction doesn't happen again. Since its a dedicated class with everyone doing the same workout based on instructions and motivation from the trainer sometimes pushing yourself that much extra can be tricky and you will need to know at what point you can push yourself and at what point you need to take a step back and slow things a little. I personally in my first class almost got nauseous because to match up to everyone around me I pushed myself beyond what my body could handle.. Was not the brightest idea.. If you are someone who is thinking about it, I recommend signing up for a class to see if it works for you. This made me feel uneasy so I decided the gym was not for me and canceled my membership. They canceled my membership without issue. But then the owner took it upon himself to look me up on social media which i find to be highly inappropriate. My personal information should not be used for that purpose.
